- Arcadia is the beachside of Odessa (ukr: Оде́са / Odesa ru: Оде́сса / Odessa), Ukraine. This coastal part of the city is known as a resort and regional tourist hotspot during summer.
During the last few years many new apartments and hotels were built or are still being constructed. Mostly locals are enjoying in this area now.
We start our winter tour at the Monument Makarios Posmytnomu (Пам'ятник Макарові Посмітному) near the Gagarinn Plaza shopping mall.
From there it's a few minutes to Arcadia City with the Arkadiskaya Alley which is the main walking street down to the Black Sea. Famous for the summer beach and nightclubs at this time of the year all the beach clubs are closed. Still people enjoy their weekend walk around the area close to the sea.
We return the same way and end our walk a bit up at the Atlantic Garden Resort Hotel.

All videos are from previous times, this one in particular was recorded early February. I clarified in a community post ( ua-cam.com/users/postUgw5_Mnv-vDxWO8gNb54AaABCQ ) that I'll post for possibly many months those walks that were done earlier than March 3rd.

At this time I'd not advise to travel. Ukraine is also cold in January. I've been to Odesa for 4 weeks last January. Kiev and Odesa are both nice. Kiev is bigger, Odesa has some beach part though spring or summer is better and should be safer for all once vaccinations take effect

Why is there so many people walking? Is it usually like that?
This was filmed in early February 2020. It was one of the warm days after some rainy ones - and on a weekend. I was also surprised about the amount of people on that winter day which was similar as in summer

Забавное видео. Не ожидал увидеть Аркадию в таком виде. Какая-то цыганщина. Старая Аркадия, какой я её помню, мне нравилась намного больше. Некоторые надписи на лавках достойны одесского юмора. Например, "Французский хот-дог". Прикол здесь в том, что французы презирают американскую кухню в виду крайнего примитивизма, а хот-дог - чисто американское изобретение и крайне простое. Сосиска - в булке хлеба и весь рецепт. А французы любят всё изощрённое. Так что "Французский хот-дог" - это что-то типа птичьего молока, т.е. субстанции, которой нет в природе. Как говорится, "Только в Одессе!".

Very dangerous city.
Why
Because the whole country of Ukraine is dangerous cause there are no rools and lows respected in this country and as a rezult Odessa is one of the very dangerous cities in Ukraine and all Eastern Europe. After the pandemia Ukraine will be even much poorer and unsafe place , i am sure about that. I have been 5- 6 times there and i know what i am talking about.
