😅 it's painful doing it manually. It can be done but it's painful 😂. It's a challenge I gave myself this one was not good unfortunately. Frame bent it will be impossible. I'll try to find a 13 with good frame and redo it (in a few weeks hopefully)
Exactly...this is something I like to do it makes it more realistic to people who attempt. Doing this also has a downside as some people will say if you are making mistakes you should not do any videos showing people 😅.
My thoughts exactly, everyone makes mistakes, hiding them instead of sharing so we cal all learn, is not good. So I second the appreciation for your honesty
Hi. Thanks for trying so hard. I think I’m going to just leave the glass cracked. I placed some clear packing tape over the glass to keep everything intact and put the case back on. Done and done.
The bad thing about changing only glass on the 11 regular and 12 regular models is that the camera rings don't fit well. In those models it is better to change the full housing. Good video.
Wrong! I presented one option. If you'd watch the video all the way you'd understand my point and processes. Nevertheless this is a viable solution, hard but doable!
I would not buy a laser anymore. I phone 14s have replaceable back glass, and iPhone 15, pro, and max all have replaceable back glass. lasers are dead now@@ersbit
I think I messed up lol. I took the metal bezels around camera lens off thinking they went on after the glass like original. I already put the glass back on. Any solution for attaching the bezels now, over the glass? Also i put microphone back on the same way but it is not working now. I got the phone super cheap so microphone is not a big deal but i would like to get the bezels on to help keep moisture out
took me 3 hours to remove the glass panel iPhone 12. one of camera ring is broke, few magnet broke and anything else it's working but I do not recommend to do this just like other said on here I recommend replace the housing
No nooo no it should be considered not water-resistant simply because it's not 100% sure. You'd have to test it to see and it may fail. So I recommend after any repair just consider the phone not water-resistant for anything that is Submerging the phone. It should be fine for splash and reduced amount of water contact.
Why? Do you swim with it? Wank on it? Put it in your back pocket to ruin your jeans and make it toilet diving? Waterproof phones are of 0 interest to me. You can always put them in the oven if they get wet. Hour on 50°C and all is good again.
Yep! Aliexpress. For rights reasons they won’t upload the glass pictures with the logo on, and want the customer to hide it on review pictures. I bought one for 5€ last week and the logo is as shiny as the original, which surprised me!
Thanks for showing. What the heck is Apple thinking? This is the worst product manufacturing ever. I grab a 5€ plastic back cover for my Lumia 950XL, snap the old one off, the new one on, 1 minute, zero headache. Why isn't this procedure normal any more? Designing for hypothetical water damage in a toilet has totally getten whack. Design for fixing cracks, not for falling into water.
I believe it's better to be transparent and show reality instead of faking everything misleading people then they are more frustrated when they don't get the outcome from the video (most likely MANIPULATED outcome 😅)
This is an excellent video.... of how NOT to fix your glass back. $140 job, - 20, you save 120 dollars. Now how much to fix everything that gets broken? this is NOT DIY stuff, if you are a DIY kind of person, go build a deck.
I have showed everything. People will choose if it is worth their time or pay someone to do it 🤷🏽♂️. I am just the middle man they see first before they pay you guys.
hold on, im not knocking you guy, you said so yourself, you shouldn't use a big blade! thats all I meant! But as your not a shop, (and im a one man shop, so I don't know about calling me a shop) I see a lot of stuff that people mess up because they don't know what they are doing. IN MY OPINION, I don't think people should mess with this stuff. But I should have said your video was good, because it was. it was informative, self critical, and thorough. good job@@ersbit
@floridaapplemacprosinc.2224 again I just showed people my experience and how I did it when it failed I warn people on how I failed then suggest alternative. It's just sharing my knowledge and experience. Most people would not try this as it's hard. Those who start half would give up and only the tenacious would complete the replacement. Then they would think was it worth it I seated of changing the whole frame etc.....

Love your efforts bro❤ it’s nice seeing someone doing it with really basic tools that aren’t like $1000

I’m grateful for your honesty and showing us the mistakes along the way. Thank god for you. All how tos should be like this

Yes that's tue. I prefer to do the full housing it's safer and the phone will ultimately look like new 👍🏽. Thank you, Appreciate it
Does that also apply to the covers you can buy with the note that the holes are slightly larger to make fit easier?

Hi, do the back glasses on amazon have de logo ? Because on the pictures there no logo, so i want to be sure
Hi the logo is just hidden from my experience. They will come with the logo on the back.
@@ersbit good evening if I order the screen on Amazon it come with the logo ??
Great video! What about microphone mesh and the flashlight glass ? Do I Glue it? How to install it? I would be so happy if you could help me :)
No need to glue it. It came out without glue so I did not use glue when I installed it back in place.
This is a perfect example how do not do it
Wrong! I presented one option. If you'd watch the video all the way you'd understand my point and processes. Nevertheless this is a viable solution, hard but doable!
I stopped watching after 2 minutes. Telling me not to use something you’re using. Bye. Thanks but no thanks
Bingo
Go buy a laser and do it 🤣
I would not buy a laser anymore. I phone 14s have replaceable back glass, and iPhone 15, pro, and max all have replaceable back glass. lasers are dead now@@ersbit
Surely that’s not the right way? Need mine doing but don’t fancy doing this
This is the cleanest way to do it

Not exactly sure I was using the heatgun at the high setting. My heatgun is either low or high. Do you have a heatgun with precise temp??
@@ersbit same here. I wanted to buy one that you can adjust the time temp
@@ersbit ya i got one that i can go between 300•f -1400+ lets u pick what ever temp you want
Bro is it still waterproof???

What equipment
Isn't it worth it to just buy the entire housing for just 20,- and with most parts installed for 40,-
Yes, It is the best way to have a more complete and better outcome.
I have covered that on my follow up video ua-cam.com/video/0q4XlY3ujfg/v-deo.html
Where do you buy the housing?
Bro with sight you shop buy that phone back
My iphone12 : camera not function after replace the back glass😢😢😢
Who replaced the back and how was it replaced?
Why is this phone at the end suddenly an iPhone 11?
I am 1000% certain I explained this in the video.
Do you know dewae
What is dewae?
invest in a laser machine will make removing the back glass easier and quicker
😅 I would have if it was not all that expensive!!
I chiseled the glass off with a flat bald screw driver.
I wasted too much time watching this
Really ? Didn't you learn anything?
