You should honestly try eating sauces + your main dishes with your rice. Rice is meant to be a simple carb choice that mixes extremely well with your other dishes. That's probably why you don't enjoy rice very much.
Yes, that's a weird way to eat any dish. The vegetables for instance are very spicy and are supposed to be adding flavour to the rice. Also the meat and shrimps should be eaten mixed with the rice. Weird eay to eat, but informative I guess. Great video though!
he’s actually made mention of this before to teach people who don’t know, he definitely knows that’s the proper way to do it but he just prefers the Eric way lol more power and flavor to him 😂

Forgot to say why I watch. I started watching you back when you did reviews on vending machines. Here in the states we don't have the quantity and quality of vending machines like Japan has. Also it's cool to see all these cool restaurants you visit.
Youre supposed to eat the side dishes with the meat and rice. Theyre not appetizers to be eaten at once! haha. the sourness/saltiness of banchan is meant to be eaten with rice and/or so you get a balanced flavor. And you should try grilling the kimchi and white/orange radish and eat it with the meat/rice--youll be amazed.

wrong... kbbq and japanese yakiniku are completely different in both taste and presentation. Marinades, sauces, and charcoals are different and kbbq usually come on steel plates rather than charcoal. I personally prefer japanese bbq

+school edu you don't just buy rice and waste them after a few bites. if you are asian you must know that rice is very precious. I have been hungry once and I tell you rice is very precious to the last grain. us asians are thought not to waste food and to think of the poor who can't afford them... everytime I eat I always order small portions and add if I want more. I never waste food. I know you are not asian if you think wasting rice is fine

5! Japanese food is unique and marvelous! You are able to understand and explain the culture in English which makes things fun and exciting. I wish the food were more affordable for students like me.
I completely understand that the head and tail are edible and it's ok to eat. I've done it before and had no problems. I just think it takes away from the experience of having nice shrimp meat, melting away in your facehole.

I would rate this meal experience a 6/6! The meat and shrimp looked so appetizing as it sizzled over the grill. The shots of the amazing view were spectacular! The different foods in this episode were so vivid in color and seemed as though, each had textures that complimented the main dish. After watching ericmealtime and doing the interactive videos and comments for years, I feel that the videos give me something to look forward too. I think this meal was a 6--the view was to me incredible, I'm living currently in a mountain town and miss living in the city so much so it was awesome to get a "birds eye" and birds view of the city. ha-ha. I watch Eric meal time because I genuinely like the content you produce, after quitting and rejoining youtube a number of times your channel always seems to finds its way back onto my list. As well I really enjoy the idea of seeing what different countries eat and how the present their meals, i.e. restaurants, vending machines, and corner shops. I live in Honduras for a bit when I was 19 and working as a missionary and I miss being able to go to small family owned places and corner shops, and even the food carts that were around. You really don't see presentation and care like that in the states. Anyway, I am really thankful for what you do and always have considered your channel one of the best on youtube. Thanks Eric!

I like how you have made EMT feel like a professional show like it could be on TV :p you make the video interesting wether you be doing a burger from a convenience store or some mental 10 patty burger ;D one of my favourite aspects of your videos (without sounding weird) is how you eat, I do enjoy food programmes on TV but they eat so slowly and eat like one tenth of the actual meal, wether you like what you're eating or not you always seem to finish off the food xD congratulations on 100 EMT videos and here's to the next 900!

I completely understand that the head and tail are edible and it's ok to eat. I've done it before and had no problems. I just think it takes away from the experience of having nice shrimp meat, melting away in your facehole.

Eric said he learned to eat fast in basic training since they only gave them 2-3 mins to eat. Scarf it down or go hungry! So now since the army that's how he eats.

I would rate this meal experience a 6/6! The meat and shrimp looked so appetizing as it sizzled over the grill. The shots of the amazing view were spectacular! The different foods in this episode were so vivid in color and seemed as though, each had textures that complimented the main dish. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode of Eric Meal Time, I think it's one of the best ones yet. :D I absolutely love this series. I rate the meal 5/6. I watch ericmealtime because I'm a huge foodie. I love The creativity of Japanese foods and the attention to detail in the food. After watching ericmealtime and doing the interactive videos and comments for years, I feel that the videos give me something to look forward too. Naturally, I was delighted when Eric announced the weekly ericmealtimes!!

Why I'm watching? Besides being a masochist, it's the fact that you get to know about japan's culinary culture and getting more familiar with their lifestyle and so far I'm pretty sure that it looks like a dream place to live in. Just keep doing these no matter what. I think this meal was a 6--the view was to me incredible, I'm living currently in a mountain town and miss living in the city so much so it was awesome to get a "birds eye" and birds view of the city. ha-ha. I watch Eric meal time because I genuinely like the content you produce, after quitting and rejoining youtube a number of times your channel always seems to finds its way back onto my list. As well I really enjoy the idea of seeing what different countries eat and how the present their meals, i.e. restaurants, vending machines, and corner shops. I live in Honduras for a bit when I was 19 and working as a missionary and I miss being able to go to small family owned places and corner shops, and even the food carts that were around. You really don't see presentation and care like that in the states. Anyway, I am really thankful for what you do and always have considered your channel one of the best on youtube. Thanks Eric!

I would rate this a solid 5/6, the price is good and the view is awesome! I first started watching EMT because it was simply your videos but then I got really more intrigued into Japan culture. I like how you have made EMT feel like a professional show like it could be on TV :p you make the video interesting wether you be doing a burger from a convenience store or some mental 10 patty burger ;D one of my favourite aspects of your videos (without sounding weird) is how you eat, I do enjoy food programmes on TV but they eat so slowly and eat like one tenth of the actual meal, wether you like what you're eating or not you always seem to finish off the food xD congratulations on 100 EMT videos and here's to the next 900!

I rate this lunch a 6/6. Great view. I watch your videos because I enjoy seeing different cuisines and different interpretations of different cuisines. Since I am on a diet, I vicariously eat by watching you eat. I would appreciate more description on scent, textures and taste as you eat.
I watch because I one day hope of moving to Japan. It's nice to see what sights to see and things to do there are, especially with Japanese cuisine I love to see what things there are to eat!
