That's so true ! ... When i 1st moved to kali-o , i called Confunkshun's office in Vallejo to get some Tickets to one of their Concerts ... & Coop answered the phone ... He was Cool , Down To Earth & Friendly , like we had know each for Years ! ... Most Famous ppl aren't that open & willing to talk with just some random person they didn't know ! ... Gained alot of Respect for them & him , & Never forgot that encounter ! ...

HOW THE FUNK CAPITAL OF THE WORLD IS FIGHTING TO KEEP ITS LEGACY ALIVE IN DAYTON OHIO!
    Stephen StarrJUN 19 2019.
When Dayton’s The Funk Music Hall of Fame & Exhibition Center - aka TheFunkCenter - opened in December 2017, locals delighted in it marrying a proud musical tradition with hope for the revival of a city long down on its luck. Built to celebrate the Ohio city’s reputation as ground zero of the funk world, the center drew volunteers and experts from the Netherlands, Japan and the U.K. and superstar names from Dayton’s 1970s and ’80s funk scene, who pieced together the decades-old instruments, records and memorabilia on display. Tickets to the opening ceremony sold out in days.

They decided they did not want him in the band. For one he should not have hit the group member. 2nd his personality just was not conducive for the band at that age and level. So the bottom line was attitude. The lead singer just did not want to be in a group with the man that hit him.
