what he didn't tell u about the marsh was on the Wales side they tried to extend there land by staking the ground and seeding it with plants, hoping to have more land to grow on, one stormy day the whole lot ripped loose and ended up on the parkside side, land-locking the port, another interesting fact was during WW2 there was scaffolding and lights placed in the water, when the bombers would come over looking for Liverpool they would see the lights think that's our target and drop there bombs, there's still plenty of old bomb craters there now,we used to play in them as kids, hayho just sharing the love xxx
Great to see that global warming has melted the ice caps and raised the water levels ..... oh wait .... Seriously, the fish & chips ..... oh man ! Great slow Mo's of the birds though ! :o)
of course Parkgate is on the Wirral , right on its west coast. Other comments here are pedantic due to boundary changes. I always think of the whole Wirral as being in Cheshire as it was when I was young
Another great production! :)
Interesting stuff peter - All the fun of the seaside - minus the paddling of course :-)
I'm lucky enough to live near there. Parkgate is a great place
