This song has aged so incredibly well. I love every single live version of 505, no matter how it is interpreted or sung by Alex Turner (slow or fast).
Simply a timeless masterpiece. I saw them last week in Zurich.

Hearing that crowd, an ocean of people in unison, the looks on their faces, the build, the release... almost moves me to tears.
I'm so happy for their success. I'm so happy for the chance to love these songs, to live my life to them, to make memories to them. What a beautiful thing music is.

the crowd look ageless every time the band do the gig. I mean it used to be their siblings or even aunties there just a decade ago. One of the best in terms of "relatability" (or just pure best, really)

This song has become so popular and it wasn't even a single. This to me, shows that if they released more singles on earlier albums, I can't imagine how successful they would have been.
They only ever released two or three singles on the first two albums. I think both could have been even bigger with more singles with more variety of style too.

@@janbarenkatapult7552 even so it was still extreme, for album one they released two singles in the UK before the album and then nothing post the release date. They did next to no media, it was cool and I'm not knocking it. It's just interesting.
Brianstorm was also a single that didn’t become very popular or at least not nearly as popular as 505.
They have the best selling first ever album of all time so I see what ur saying but it’s not like they weren’t popular
@@storm7590 true it’s not their biggest song but got to number 2 in the charts and it always goes off at concerts, 505 seems to have been a late bloomer and become immensely popular over the last couple of years

I was at one of their shows about two weeks ago and I almost cried through the entire concert because it was that overwhelming to me

Can't tell if Alex couldn't hear the drummer or what but that drummer had to work hard to get the timing back. Big respect to Matt Helders the drummer :)
Nah Alex just sings everything slower now, it kinda sucks.
Not too much of an adjustment. Alex sang the lyrics slower but still in time or pretty close to it.

I love this song!!! The crowd was so excited and the girl who cried, she projected so much emotion on her face. Excellent version, it starts so slow and in the middle it turns with such force that it excites✨
I was that girl when i first saw their performance 3 years ago in Melbourne. And I went to their tour again in Prague few weeks ago. Both went alone and fly thousands of km away from my country.

He does that with a lot of their songs these days. I don't think it's necessarily to slow down the crowd, more so he just gets bored with singing the songs exactly the same.

When AM came out I saw my cousin whose christening I remember going to had them as her cover photo and thought God, they've done it again. Where will it end? Hopefully no time soon. Absolutely MONEY! My favorite song. I took my 17 year old daughter to see AM in Oct in LA……they did not disappoint. Incredible band live and this song live is awesome.

the fact i was here right at the front with my dad and had been there for seven hours straight just stood and they performed being my favourite band since i was 6 i can say that it was all worth it and i would happily do it again everything from the no toilet to the standing in the same position with people sat by my feet so i cant sit down. I honestly enjoy seeing Alex sing how he wants, perform how he wants, and write new stuff how he wants. His music, his band, is growing with him. I love his old stuff just as much as I love his new stuff
