Excellent video. I read the instruction manual and got nowhere - but having watched this video I was able to start my new hedge cutter immediately. Thanks.
The hs 45 is an outstanding hedge trimmer. I bought it brand new. I had my Stihl dealer fill it with Stihl MotoMixafter putting an extra cap full of Stihl Ultra in the tank. It cranked right up. It had a slight problem I’d lying until I had cut with it fora few minutes. I add the extra cap full of Ultra for the first two tanks. After that it gets my standard 50:1 Stihl Ultra mix. I put two tanks on it this morning,, so it is filled with my regular Pond Water. It never missed a beat.

So simply to understand and went over it twice ,exactly as he say how would you know what symbol on the choke would mean ON or OFF I am so pleased I found this . Cheers mate all the best for the future. Just great common sense.
Thanks Brad. Last time I tried to start mine I primed, choked, pulled, unchoked, full throttled, pulled some more, primed some more, cursed, tried every combination possible to no avail. I was determined so I sprayed some starting fluid in there and that didn't even work. I decided it wasn't worth the trouble and I would just dump it. I resorted to trimming my Escallonia hedges with a hand shears. I just tried your way and it started on the second pull. I just trimmed one of my hedges that was in dire need until I ran out of gas. Thanks again. 🙂
