Great video, man. From your experience, how much would the winch mount need to come forward to avoid cutting the rad support and moving the trans rad? Only an inch or so or is it more than that? Considering making an adapter plate to go under the back of the winch mount so it sits forward another 1-2 inches.

I’m not sure as I cut and notched everything so I could mount everything as far back as I could.

Hey man ive got a question, so I recently removed my bumper cover and painted everything black like yours and im loving it! Only a little concerned about the now exposed radiator. Ive decided on doing a winch plate and winch setup just like yours. My question is were your two radiator hoses coming up right at the front, is there enough room behind the winch plate for those or did you have to notch out the winch plate? Its pretty well covered up in your video so i couldnt see, but it does look like the winch plate is very close to the body of the truck which i assume would pinch those two radiator hoses, thanks man!

Does the plastic bumper cover not fit anymore?

Hey bud, I have a 2004 DC and have 285/70/17. I want to go to bigger but don’t want full size 35s. I don’t want to run spacers and such. I have been lookjng at the 255/85/17 baja boss they are a 10ply. If that’s not gonna be a good idea id go 285/75/17 which is basically 34in vs my 33s. My 33s perform well but just look small on my truck. Do suggest the 255/85/17 or 285/75/17? Just want to hear your opinion. Thank!

In my opinion I would go with the 255/85/17. The 255 tires and the 285 will be similar in weight even though the 255 will be around an inch taller. The 255 will also fit easier since it is narrower tire which would mean less rolling resistance which would help with power and mpg loss.

@@Drewsoffroadgarage thanks for the feedback! Ya, I think I’ll give them a try. The 285 only weighs 57lb and the 255 weighs 65lb. So 8lb difference but I have regeared to 4.88s and it would help bring my rpms on the highway down closer to stock. Im running around 2600-2650 at 60mph and should be more like 2200.

@@Drewsoffroadgarage definitely should, game changer. My truck has topper, bed platform with drawers, bumpers, etc… it weighs 6500lbs. So it needed it for sure.
