Glad someone else is saying it. When people were crying during the last ammo shortage and calling for people who were smart enough to stock up on ammo being forced to sell their ammo for what they paid for it I was laughing. I did however sell quite a bit of ammo to new shooters I know. I gifted both my lil nephew and niece each a 5,000 round case of 22lr and my oldest nephew 1 case of 9mm and 2 cases of 5.56. If older people that should know better asked me for ammo I told them to kick bricks and to get their heads out of their azz next time ammo came available. To no surprise none of them learned anything. It’s to expensive and they can’t afford it. Yet they can afford $1k+ vehicle payments, $200 month cable and internet bills and go out to eat all the time.. Basically the same excuse why they can’t prep and they literally grocery shop 2-3 times a week..
The one saving grace is that new ammo companies can be created... maybe a bunch of smaller regional companies... which would actually be healthier and better. Thanks for the update - this is disturbing in the short run though.
And they will leave me in the dust. No one "needs" ammo to live. It's easy to give up or cut back on. It will only reduce interest in all the shooting sports. And just who does that ultimately effect the most? You guessed it, the ammo companies. Buh, bye.
