Omgsh! That's just insane! What an amazing find! I watch all your videos just to be humbled by what the Yellowstone provides in your area. Your small are our biggest finds and your big finds are just Insane!!!!
Great finds! That giant agate and the yellow jasper are my favs. The other agates, jaspers and petrified wood are beautiful too! Thanks for sharing!✌️🤠🤟
Holy moley. !!!!! What a find. All were great but that biigun (southernese). Wow. Can not wait to see what beauty hides inside. Thank You so much. Had a great time looking with you.
I found a 30lb agatized limbcast here in Central Oregon, out in the Bear Creek rockhounding area. If you do come through again, I'd be happy to show you where!
@@KatyDidRocks 🥰so very excited to have won your beautiful book and first cab from your new trim saw!! Email with address sent twice because I was so excited I forgot to leave my name!🤣 Thank you so very much!
Reminds me of some of the smaller agates I found around lake Superior back in the late seventies while netting smelts. 😍😍 I had some with beautiful multi color banding...lots of red and white varieties. As big as a old metal coffee can +
Seriously?!!' 😮🤯 That agate is HUGE 😳. All those dendrites too! I’m awe struck! Gorgeous on top of the size. I hope some day, your able to find a bigger one so you can cut this one into slices ❤ The rest of your find were so gorgeous. You are very blessed to live so close to all that beauty. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure. Love your channel ❤. Missed Kava but I I’ve done the exact same thing here is WI, during hunting season. We have to protect our fur children 🥰 Stay Crystal 💫 Mari
Wow what an epic find! You guys on the Yellowstone sure are lucky! I was rockhounding one of the only reliable gravel bars on the Mississippi River a couple days ago and I was definitely thinking of you Montana folks. Finding agates and petrified wood that I think came from Nebraska South Dakota and Wisconsin! Not as cool as the Yellowstone though. I need to hook up with a Rockhound with a boat so we can hit all the gravel bars. It’s cool finding such diverse stuff! I’m really into the honey agates now (super light carnelian) they’re so shiny and glow in the light! Also the rocks on the big rivers are crazy smooth and polished! Some of the chert and agate looks like it’s been tumbled already! Definitely no 10 pounders though!!!
a very promising location there are lots of very beautiful and interesting rocks this is a challenge to exploit so that these rocks become very useful I really like them greetings from Indonesia
It seems that you came back with quite a load this time. Do you ever weigh your pack when you return home? Just wondering how much rock weight you think you have carried before (and how far). I have hunted the Yellowstone and even if you are selective, you can come back with some heavy loads. I really appreciate the way that you break away to show the rock that you just found after it's been properly cleaned at home. It's often hard to truly appreciate something when it's only been sprayed a bit at the river.
Hello Kate, I just subscribed! That giant Agate looks like a big eggplant. What a find. I have been watching you for years. God bless you! Your friend and fan, Kevin
Kate, I am going to be doing a rock adventure in MT in the next year. I am not asking for secret places but I would like to skip the areas that get heavily picked over. Can you recommend a source of info that I can look up places to go that do not require huge hikes to reach?
That sounds exciting! I would suggest just about any of the fishing access sites along the Yellowstone between Billings and Sidney. The farther east you get from Billings, the more luck you will have. If you want a description of what hunting is like in each of them, I wrote a book about it: www.etsy.com/listing/1089523180
Congratulations, such great catches are a real joy. Unfortunately, we don't have such a set table, but it's still a pleasure to look for it. Greetings from the Czech Republic and wishes for a wonderful Christmas in the new year, lots of such catches, but above all good health. I can't get into nature without it. Thumbs up and subs for your videos...👍👍👍
You've raised the var, now your goal is at least a 16 to 17# agate. It just looked like a flat surface to me, didn't have those dents that seem to show up in your agate finds. I liked that black with graph paper look. Sorry, do know technical terms bug love your geology. How do agates form again?
I would cut that 14lb'er before the end of the DAY. I couldn't wait that long to see what was inside of it. I'd square the bottom, then cut faceted faces on it, 90deg from the bottom, one at a time, until something cool showed, then polish the faces. I need to get back to MT....
Congratulations! Can't wait to see it happen. 😊
Wonderful finds, can't wait to see inside the big agate.
beutiful Jasper and hurray for your Agate monster-rock

Oh my gosh Katy! Lucky girl! You have trained your eyes to find beautiful agates! Congrats!

So awesome. I try to pick agate.

Congrats Katy, can't wait to see the cuts of the other one now. That serenity rock deserves a light behind it in a special setting!
Wow! Your reaction made me smile 🤓. Well done!

I do enjoy jasper. You found so many beautiful rocks.
All I can say is wow!!!! What a rock!!! Can't wait to see it after it's cut!
Lots of great finds! Wow!
Glad you found the chunky chunky you were looking for. If I found a LSA that big I think I would faint. Good video Kate.😎😎
Congratulations!!!! What an agate!!!!!!!!
The big question is "Do you have a big enough saw to cut it?" If not, send it to me! Nice find.
:D I made a deal with my son that I wouldn't cut the largest agate I have found - so I'm guessing this one is safe for a while.
Yep, me too... anxious to see what's inside.
It's like Christmas morning. 😛

Thanks a lot! :)
Truly enjoyed your excitement. Precious

I love jasper and just amazed at how much variety there is in the jaspers. But my favorite has to be agatized wood.

Awesome finds.
That's so awesome
Congratulations on that big chunkier and is so mossy and dendritic heck ya rock on Kate
What a find! It looks dendritic with no major cracks :) Praying none show up once you polish the outside like your planning.
I just love your excitement. You are just a cool lady.
:) Thank you! This was a pretty exciting find, for sure.
Now that is definitely a plate of agateliscious if ever there was one!
Wowzers

What an awesome bunch of stones you got and I'm very much looking forward to you at the very least cutting off ends on that BIG agate!
I plan to polish the exterior with an angle grinder, so we can see inside without losing the size. ;)
@@KatyDidRocks that should totally do it and then we can peak at it's treasure

Thank you! My husband said it looks like a giant, weird potato. :D
You have two new fans from Columbus, MT.
Thanks for getting out there. Wise about Kava. I’d love to see the yellow Jasper cut after you said they can appear darker because of staining.
Hi Katy, went to watch the givaway video, but it isnt there.
Wow super agate!!!!!
What a great find! Now, how does Mr Did feel about missing out on that one?

Not that it matters but I'm curious is the much monetary value to the agate? I have no idea hahha great video looks like a huge amount of fun
Macro lens for close ups? The finer details of your finds are lost to this point
Possibly a good idea. Still photos might also allow higher resolution...
Chunknormous!!!!
What I find difficult to imagine is how that was formed. Isn't nature amazing!
Wow Kate! That’s humongous 😁
