Correctly said. Management trainees recruitment is done to test you and observe your behaviour. I am a Management Trainee too and I am going to start my career next month ( very much excited). Now a days different hotels have different policies and procedures for selecting a management trainee. In our college, they all started with the GD round followed by the one on one interview ( personal interview). Some hotels take written test while some do not. Similarly some also go for online psychological test. While some hotels have something known as the ASSESSMENT CENTRE where they will involve you into some group activities where they will see your leadership and team spirit. After going through all these rounds the final round is the interview with the GM or the COMPANY HEADS. If they see you capable, then you are good to go. All the best to others who are yet to sit for an interview.

now I have to do internship but I was always told that in an internship you guys will work in every department so that u can know every hell about a hotel and every work
