I do a mp and liquid glycerin mixture. You've gotta be quick with your piping or do small quantities, but it comes out fluffy and gets rocks hard! With that mixture, you can put a small amount in your bag and reheat and rewhip what's left to keep going if it sets up on you. About 4oz of mp and 2 tsp of liquid glycerin. =o)
Forgot to say that it also holds fragrance really well!
Brandy Nettleton good stuff. Thank you
Brandy Nettleton I am really new to soap making but I would like to try your idea. I like the soap frosting that EdensSecret showed but would like the option of one that gets really hard. Can you give a little more details. Do you just heat the mp to melting point, add the lg and then whip with a stick blender until fluffy and then fill the bag and pipe? or is there more to it than that? Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. :D
Cool
lorianne621 I don't use a stick blender but you could try? I think it probably whips better using just a regular hand mixer, but I've not tried a stick blender to know for sure.
It's pretty easy, though! Melt the MP, add the glycerin and whip! You might have to trouble shoot your mixture to see exactly how long to mix since each mixer will vary some, but if it progresses too far, you can always remelt and try again! =o)
The frosting is so fluffy and pretty! Love it. =)
YAY bramble berry! by the way you are out of stock again on the whipped soap base ;)
Artwork, comedy + wit, Declan should have his own show! Thanks so much for sharing this technique Karen. You are such a great friend to all soapmakers and soap lovers :)
That's an awesome helicopter
Yep
Karen, your such a lovely woman. Thank so very much for taking the time for doing this video!!! Your the best!!! Also that helicopter was the best I've ever seen!!!
What a terrific artist your co-star is! Thanks for the how-to on cupcake frosting, too.
Love his drawing!! Gotta support the young lad!!!
Your son is very talented. ..just like mom.
Karen your son is adorable and I love his helicopter drawing. I have two boys and one of them is an artist... Tell Declan to keep them coming:)
God bless U!
Bianka:)
You can make it with just melt and pour soap with a couple of tablespoons of liquid soap added to it. Love your videos!
sweetbamabrown thank you very helpful cause I only have melt a pour soap lol
At what proportion?
ive tried that and its still too hard too fast all the time.
Foaming Bath Butter in the US, It's awesome, very versatile.
Your video was super helpful! Thank you so much. And that helicopter was awesome!
Amanda Murray quick question does the frosting dry after a while when it’s on the cupcake?
Don't know if you'll read this since I see that you put this video out back in 2012, but, perhaps it might help someone that wants to know another way to do a similar frosting. I've used regular store bought white Ivory soap and used it as a sort of "melt and pour" for frosting. Cut it in small pieces, zap it in the micro or double boiling pot, put it in the freezer until it becomes semi-solid (color, scent if you want) and then whip away. Pipe onto your soap and it will harden. If you can't get the hard tops when whipping, freeze your "batter" again... Same as if you are doing a whipped body-butter. I've also done the floating soaps this way, quite by accident but... hey, it worked! LOL You can also use your own CP soap and melt, freeze, whip... Just don't add to much liquid in either soap while melting.
Thanks
I'm gonna try it
Solani Someni ... Do you mean to just melt soap with no liquid additives?
@ Laurie, It's been awhile since I did it but I need to make soap frosting today, so I'll do a bar or 2 just to refresh my memory. (I used plain white Ivory and have a few bars left under the bathroom sink) I'll report back to you exactly how I do it. Yeah, my brain is totally non-functioning at the moment (read: most of the time.. LOL) To much clutter in my internal hard-drive/excuse for a brain. ;)
How did it go? You should do a video of doing it.
Meringue powder added to the melt and pour with whipped soap makes a nice hard icing so you can package
how much meringue powder and melt & pour?
When I make mine is use 16 ounces of Melt and pour soap, ! tsp glycerin and 4 table spoons of meringue
16 oz. foaming bath whip
18 oz. white melt & pour base
2 Tsp. glycerin
This is the one I prefer using for my bath bombs and small kids jellybean soaps
This is another good recipe to try
1 Cup Foaming Bath Whip
1 Cup Clear Melt and Pour
1 Tablespoon Liquid Glycerin
3 Tablespoons Meringue Powder
7 ml FO
+Bobby Bueckert. thanks so much
Bobby Bueckert thanks for the tip
Yes you can make frosting with the Stephenson Range SLS & SLSA Free White Opaque Melt & Pour Soap Base. you can also make soap frosting with the Stephenson Range Aloe Melt & Pour Soap Base.
let it cool down n whip and it will harden, don't let it get to hard otherwise you'll have to heat it back up to be able to frost your cupcakes. approx whip time 5-6mins
Just orders this
Just ordered some. Thank you 🙏
Thank you for the video Karen! What I love about this frosting is that you don't need a merengue powder in it or cream of tartar. Thanks again you are the best!
What a wonderful tutorial!
Thank you for taking the time to share with us your ideas. We appreciate your tutorials.
Thank you very much.. Love your videos but your sons helicopter and his arts kills are amazing..smile
I hope your son continues drawing as he is very talented! Encourage him often! I like seeing his drawings! And all your soaps too!
You made it look so easy! Thanks for the video! And Declan's helicopter was very cute too!
I do love the sound of piping the cream too! Makes me think of creamy frosting on top of a cake, delish but not for eating because its soap haha. You begin your day very early, you're a hardworking woman who deserves much more credit then you already get. And I noticed that you're very loving towards your son too, making time to respond to him even when you're very busy, that says a lot about a woman.
Awesome Karen! I use this recipe as well. I love it and let my female customers know that the frosting makes an amazing shaving soap. My 2 yr old son loves it because it floats. Have a great day and thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the informational video!! Very helpful. And your son is a very talented artist! I see that creativity runs in the family! Thanks again Karen.
I adore watching your videos. I am new to all this stuff and I truly enjoy just watching and learning

I bought a product like your Luxury Foaming Bath Butter, here in the US, and it was called Foaming Bath Whip. Great video, thank you Karen. Enjoy listening to your lovely accent.
Thank you so much
i love that you ate the marshmellow fluff and vocalized how yummy it was
It's called whipped soap or foaming whipped soap in the USA :)
Actually that stuff is made differently
ThatOneLovatic I've been looking it up for a month after your comment and no they aren't different, it's the same thing she is talking about.
Turner Clan awesome thank you very much for you're help. I got a little confused with comments but I can see it is whipped soap.. 💕 SERIOUSLY THANK YOU
Where can you find it at? I haven't heard of this before I am fairly new to the sloping world. Any help thank you Deb
@@gabbiesmeemee where are you from
Oh, what a lovely helicopter!! 💗
Thank you so much for the video I learned a lot !!!! Your work is amazing !!!
I had to go get some jet puff marshmallow to eat after I saw you have some. Lol, I love that stuff:-)
Awesome video! Thank for for the recipe
That frosting looks good enough to eat. Very pretty, and kind of you to show us how it's done.
I love your sons drawing!!!!!
that was very very helpful. Many thanks Karen
I love your work Karen the soaps you make are absolutely beautiful. And Declan you are a wonderful artist. My 12 year old son, Logan, loves helicopters too. He loves to draw them and fly them, ( romote control ones ). Keep up the great work you two.
Great video! I have been wondering how to do this! Thanks for showing us how you do it! Fantastic helicopter picture!
I LOVE the helicopter ❤ thanks for sharing your tips
Thanks Karen! The soap sounds like a crackling fire! Lol. Declan is quite the artist!
Love! The sharing of the helicopter was very sweet. Thank you.
Such a cute idea! Thanks for sharing :)
Aw, thank you. Lovely helicopter drawing too! x
I love these.
Wow! Declan is a true artist! That helicopter is fantastic!! Bravo!! Thats for the tutorial on soap frosting!
Your son is extremely talented. You should be very proud of him💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Great video Karen, I gave up trying to get anything to resemble piping on M&P, I always ended up with a disaster that never hardened. I agree with you CP is the best for piping, mind you I still have to master that too. I loved Declan's helicopter it was brilliant and full of detail! My Son always used to draw space rockets in detail. Luv, Rene x
Awesome video Karen, thank you for sharing your valuable knowledge, so kind of you! :-) Mel
Well Done Declan You're drawing is fantastic. Karen, this is fab tooxxx
Wonderful Illustration!
You have a very Talented son there,
Seems like he's taking after Mummy,
in the artistic department.
Never did I no I could use melt and pour for a frosting. That’s awesome.
You are a GREAT MOM,! Very nice of you to take time for your child even in the middle of something ! By the way, great job on the helicopter,!
And Declan's drawing is AWESOME, great job buddie!! :-) Mel
Nice video as always Karen! I've purchased the Foaming Bath Whip and followed the instructions precisely. However, I could never get it light and fluffy enough to pipe. Instead it was thick and a bit sticky. But I didn't despair, I just mounded up the topping onto the cupcake and topped with sprinkles and people loved them anyway. The extra I used an ice cream scoop and scooped onto parchment paper to dry. They were a big hit too!
Well done! Lovely helicopter!
Ty so much for this I've been struggling with my frosting going hard very quickly
you're a very good artist that was a very nice helicopter thank you for sharing
NICE DRAWING!
Being a mom makes you sometimes think avout am I doing allright with my kids or not, but that feeling comes forth out of the love you have for him and wanting him to not be missing something. You're doing just fine Karen, you give him a mom who does what she loves and maybe even inspires him to be just as hard working and creative as you when he grows up, he just doesn; t know yet but kids pick up a lot of things and good examples benefit their brain positively when they get older. ;-)
Thank you very much , I will try your technique
Love the helicopter, lots of talent there. From his admirer in Australia.
That's a very nice drawing! He is talented. :-)
Thank you for sharing!!
I love the sound of it too
Really good video, Karen. It is called Foaming Bath Butter here in Australia too, and I use it to make sugar scrubs too, and also sometimes to pipe onto fizzy bubble bars or cakes, but a lot of the time I use CP soap for that, as I prefer to do it that way. Never seen that marshmallow fluff over here, looks naughtily yummy!!!! xx LInda
Tell Ben that his drawing is completely awesome and would like to see more what an awesome 👏 artist he is
great helicopter drawing - and great soap video too :)
That picture was fabulous! He’s artistic like his mom!
Melinda Duncan Thanks Melinda
Thank you for answered my question! I'm also wondering if the soap will remain soft and fluffy after using the mixer. I'm planning to use melt and pour goat's milk soap from Brambleberry. I can notice that your soap is very soft when you cut it with the knife.
Wow. I definately didn't expect that long. Shiny. Ty for the reply:))
Ver nice helicopter Zack!!!❤
Great helicopter... Fantastic :) :) :)
Thank you so much Karen for being so thoughtful to show us some of your techniques. I wonder if a little meringue or kaolin clay to that mix would halp them harden up completely, I'll have to give it a whirl. Love Declan's helicoptor, too cute! :)
Great info, thank you for sharing : )
Thanks for making & sharing this how to video. You did a lovely job!! I love listening to your voice, such a pretty accent. It was wonderful of you to show Declan's drawing. When you ate the Fluff, I laughed so hard lol... I would have done the same thing. Peace & Happiness to you & your family :) LeeAnn
They call is foaming bath butter or bath whip here in the US in case someone is looking for it here. Great video karen you are always so giving ;) You got yourself a artist there too!
its nice and easy and it is foaming bath butter that material from stephenson brand UK :) its a multipurpose soap base and extremely easy to work with and versatile. It is called or known as OPC soap base here in mexico. You are great Karen
What an amazing drawing! 👏 🚁
Thanks for sharing Karen.....I have tried to make icing with m&p b/c that's all I do and never could get it to work out. Now I know what to do to get it right. Tell Declan great job on the drawing.....he's pretty talented!!!!
Love the video and the helicopter drawing :)
Thats an amazing helicopter!
great drawing!
We call it Foaming Bath Butter Base here in the USA, too. I've used it quite a bit for frosting my M/P cupcakes. But my recipe is a little different. I use about 2+ tbs glycerine, about 16 oz. M/P, and 19-20 oz soap base and about 4 tsp fragrance. And if I'm really daring I use a bit of meringue powder....makes it harden much better.....but you have to work fast!!
I love your channel n your accent 😍
LMAO! Tell it like it is ! Love your comeback ,lol
