I drive a 379EXHD with a rebuilt 6NZ with a super 10 right now for 12 hrs a day out here TX pulling an end dump. Thanks for posting this. It helps me relax after a long day. No background music or a lot of jake break. I can sleep to this on loop all night. Good night to all my truckers I have to wake up at 1am.
Rick, i totally agree!! so many people drive it like they stole it, but just to just sit back and ease on up the road and shifting like he does. Its a certan kind of driver.
Absolutely agree. Calm and smooth. Just let's the gears fall in. Sadly people that dont drive like this is why a lot of the trucking companies are going to auto trucks.
Garet Whitney the motor is currently getting rebuilt and should be done in a couple of weeks hopefully. Once I get it back I'll make more videos with a lot of full throttle so as to break it in properly!
What do you guys have against it, out here in Europe we have them since the early 90's and drivers actually never hated them, engines actually improved with the coming of emissions stuff on engines, only the NOX sensor is a weak part on the engines out here.

Safe, steady, and knows his gears by the tooth, no grinding at all. This is the trucker every old timer claims to be, and few are. I'd practically wrench your truck for free compared to the guys that break everything and think synchros exist on these transmissions
I love the sound of the cat C-15, I actually have a 387 with one and even without straight pipes it sounds great, I actually have a few vids of it in my channel

Good guestion, but overhere a sighltly louder Dieselengine is hated and why? They wont say... I think because the people rather hear music on the radio.... Driving a Peterbilt 351/359/379 with the right engine, we dont need no radio since the music is provided by the beast under the EXHD. Funny thing is tho.... I have young parrots and i played the jakebrake near them and they loved it !

Bummett I had an accident with the truck back in January and it only got fixed a week ago. I've never been to California, I'm a little hesitant to go there because of that.
Stay away from California they need to drop off the face of the earth, in California if your truck is not Al Gore certified you are in compliance. This makes it simple let them produce everything they need to survive in their state and not have anything trucked in from any other states.. let's see how long that will last..... Come on America wake up to the stupid D
Caterpillar Dont use mufflers on their heavy equipment they also use large exhaust pipe to let the engine breathe freely. !!!! Nothing. In the heavy truck dept sounds as good as a Big CAT DIESEL.

Trucking is the most intense and crazy thing you'll ever experience in your life, astronauts on the International Space Station are jealous of all the exciting things that truck drivers experience! But, at least the truck has no DEF, DPF, EGR or a speed governor. :D
