Daaaaaaamn, dude. Clean vocals are masterful. I love those.
I really like the cleans, I’d almost say better than Burt himself. Take that as a huge compliment since Burt is probably my favorite vocalist of all time. The harsh vocals though just don’t have enough power and grittiness. Burton is definitely a tough voice to replace since he’s two vocalists in one.

This is really not bad at all. Maybe he should just yell a bit harder on the verse and he would win the role Maybe just a tad more aggression. BECAUSE WOW: that singing he was able to do the burton cleans perfect! I never thought there was anyone out there that can sing like that!.I hope this is the new guy!!!
But the yelling needs a bit of work to some how make it more in your face-ish.
But I don't think he should force himself to sound like Burton's yells. I think he may want to try to yell a bit like some stuff the hatebreed guy did

Tough call. Essentially he's replicating Burtons unique vocal style. Burton can still do it and did it perfectly in the 90s and just fine live in the return of FF. Burton is just older simply put and put a lot of miles on his voice but that will never take away his legacy. We wouldn't be here listening to someone else copy him if that was the case.

his cleans are really good but he hasn't got enough 'gruff' with his shouts. I can't imagine he can do much 'fry vocal'. Solid effort but it isn't enough

Burton doesn't use fry screams. He basically yells. His harsh vocal style is so bad for your throat, he half yells/half growls, and it's all about volume to create the sound, where as fry screams are about technique and diaphragm and should not be loud. This dude is trying to use Burton's harsh style but he just isn't putting enough distortion into them.
His screams aren’t as vicious, but I like the cleans. Live though, he will be better as he won’t trash his voice.
