- Columnist Peter Hitchens has urged more people to object to the government's "garbage" coronavirus response.
Speaking with talkRADIO's Mike Graham, the journalist said: "Unless we can show this thing was wrong from the start, we’re stuck with it until at least the spring, and quite possibly forever.”
It comes after health secretary Matt Hancock warned Covid measures will be needed through the winter despite the latest successful vaccine trials.
I'm doing whatever I like this Christmas.

I wrote to my MP, admittedly many times, in respect of the draconian powers, the failure to take advise from other parties than Sage, and the lack of support to self employed. I received a Cease and Desist notice for my troubles, as I was apparently scaring my MPs staff. What does the government think it’s doing to the public if it’s not terrifying it? Disgraceful and undemocratic, the government needs removing.

So, I can certainly see why Hitchens has not wavered from his opinion on the subject of cannabis.

A new nature paper suggests that asymptomatic people don't spread the virus anywhere near as much as symptomatic people. Anyone under 65 without serious medical conditions has a very low chance of dying of covid. Unless the people breaking lcokdown are being downright irresponsible - like coughing and visiting care homes, the chances of killing someone is pretty low.

When you see 78 year old, women getting horribly man handled and arrested for peacefully demonstrating outside the House of Commons and a 19 year old, girl in Cornwall being dragged off by the brutal UK police and held in custody and questioned for expressing her concerns on the Totaliatarian State, it is pretty intimidating. I spent half my life on peaceful demonstrations and I think it is a fine way to show ones opposition.The last demo I attended against the Iraq war, I experienced Police brutality that was frightening. I live in Denver Colorado USA, and have been to two hospitals visiting friends in the last two months and the hospitals are not even crowded let alone full.

Peter Hitchens was one of the few people who were right about this from the very start, yet was mocked by the mainstream media who tried to discredit him - now he is rightly getting the coverage and the credit he deserves thanks to people like Mike Graham and Talk Radio.
I absolutely agree but how do I do anything? I'll have Christmas with my family and then what? Go to all the gigs that aren't happening and shut pubs? Travel to London, protest, get arrested, watch the media underreport it and go home? What? Because all that's happening is I'm hearing and reading this stuff, believing it and getting depressed and angry because I'm so fucking powerless.

I forgot to mention TB, which was an extremely horrible and prevalent, deadly, disease until 1949 when a cure was found. Until then, my father had already negotiated avoidance of this horror for nearly 50 years and my mother had managed to avoid it for nearly 40. Trading never stopped. They obtained their educations and went into their jobs, despite the dangers of TB all around them. Every family knew someone who had had it and died from it - including ours.
This has aged BRILLIANTLY! Every hysterical response to the plandemic needs to be examined and derided... Totally a waste of human potential.. unforgivable.

Never speak to the police, always go to court - that is the advice from former cops and lawyers.

So many comedians, actors, musicians, artists etc who normally use their platform to pontificate and lecture the world on a variety of causes have remained silent regarding covid. A few brave select few have spoken out and will be remembered.

@Michael Rollins Every time we go out of lockdown too hastily things get worse again. Hitchens may have some support, but has been wrong every time so far.
@Michael Rollins Countries with the earliest and strongest lockdowns are doing best. Yeadon is a crank, doctors are not scientists. Certainly the UK goverment has made a hash of this, but so have Hitchens, Toby Young and Yeadon.

Is that how things are there? Because I listen to podcasts (probably 30 percent Canadian Podcasts and 70 percent American for obvious reasons) and I get the impression that Americans are under even stricter rules than Canadians are. Some of them even have CURFEWS. CURFEWS. I’d blow a gasket if someone tried to impose a curfew on me. 😂 anyway I really admire the freedom loving of America, but sometimes I don’t know if America really embodies freedom like they say they do.
I want to be wrong on this. Trust me. I want to know there is a place where freedom reigns. But I’m not feeling optimistic. And I should be clear for the sake of the dramatists who want to make it sound like I’m ungrateful. Our countries are fantastic. I just want at least one of them to stay that way long term.
Pether Hitchens must learn to accept the will of the people. We want the government to take necessary actions to prevent further infections, hospitalisation and deaths. Despite his claims to the contrary, there is now overwhelming evidence that the restrictions reduce infection rates, which reduce hospitalisations and reduce deaths. ONS excess deaths are now 60K higher than the five year average with almost all of these being COVID deaths.
No more politicians in Parliament. Working men and women, they know what the people need, and have common sense. Up the TRUMP
