- In this episode of Iron City garage Pete heads just west of Pittsburgh to Coraopolis PA to rescue a 1965 fastback Mustang that has been sitting in a garage since the late 90s. This is just another one to add to the list of the more recent local pick ups that Pete has found. A two hour radius from Pittsburgh has been a Goldmine as of recent!

I bought a brand new 1965 just like that same color with 4 speed and white interior while I was home on leave from Beglin Ford in Bridgewater, pa. while I was home on leave getting ready to go to Nam.(USMC). You guys can sure bring back memories. thanks.
Very cool!
What happened to the car. Thank you for the service
@@gman9035 I left it with my brother in law who lived in San Diego, until I got back from Nam, drove it around Oceanside, Ca(Camp Pendleton) until I got discharged, then ended up trading it to him for a 1966 Nova SS, 327, 4 speed. He ended up taking it to Waynesburg, Pa and trading it for(if you can believe it) a Studebaker Golden Hawk. I traded the Mustang to him because the Nova had AC. SemperFi
Another decent find in your backyard, way to go! Toploader too, you must be livin' right! 😎👍🐎🏎🏁🏁
You got that right!
nice! thanks for including some of the drive footage thru the city. It's nice to see what things look like back there. I don't miss it, but its cool to see!
Glad you enjoyed!
I never drive one of these cars and never sat in one. But I watched a guy talking about one in the 60s . He said they was not comply inside to drive. No room for feet and pedals.
When you are young comfort is about the last thing on a cars comfort list, haha. In 1965, after I bought my new fastback in Pa., I picked up 3 other Marines with all their belongings, rented a UHaul trailer, along with one of those stupid clamp on UHaul hitches, and all of us ran the wheels off that stang all the to Camp Pendleton, Ca in two days.
Great trailer. I want one just like it. HARD to find used people fail to list weight ratings, winch and call things a tilt that are not. Lots of tilt trailer that have a fixed flat section at the front. Not winch friendly.
Well said!
These are notorious for rotting out because of C pillar louver drain hose issues
Nice cars brother
Thanks 👍
Hermoso 😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you
The seats look like from a 1987-1993 mustang gt seats look like the ones in my 88 gt but mine are red
We are looking into it

It’s a special feeling I promise you even ones like these just sitting in the seat is an experience
Would you build one of yours for someone !
I mean fix it up nice for people or do you just buy and sell ?
Those seats at first glance look to be from a fox body mustang gt specifically between 87 and 89. Those headrests are distinctive.
We are checking it out had a few people say this as well
Awesome! Best of luck with it!! Enjoying watching you guys save these great cars!
Don’t be pulling on the fender like that!!
It’ll hold!
Have a 65 fastback, hope to get it back on the road soon.
