We’re going to heal the world.
The Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, enter new chapters in their lives as they balance their responsibilities as protectors of Marvel’s New York. As Harry Osborn, Peter’s best friend, returns into his life, and Miles looks to build his future beyond high school, the relationship between our heroes is tested and strained as the Symbiote appears to threaten them, the city, and the ones they love.

Had so much fun with that game on the ps2 when I was kid, one of my favorites

I love that this time characters we didn't see interacting very much are getting showtime, like Rio talking to Peter, that shot is sick, and it looks like she still doesn't know that it's Peter behind the mask, which shows that Miles respects his privacy THAT much.

The voice actor for Rio Morales in the games does an amazing job! Her and Phin were standout characters in the Miles Morales game. Can't wait to see how Peter and Miles interact with each other's friends and family.
The contrast from Harry’s “We’re going to heal the world” in the beginning to Venom’s in the end is crazy. So excited for this game.

Fun fact: In this game, Harry is not portrayed by Scott Porter, who voiced him in the audio logs from the previous game; instead, he is portrayed by Graham Phillips, who played Ben Tennyson in the live-action movie, Ben 10: Race Against Time. So technically, we got TWO Bens in the game!

I love the lines from MJ and Miles saying Pete's not himself. Having this interactivity between Pete's friends as much as Spider-Man's is exactly what is needed in a tale about Venom, especially with just how much of adversary he is to both Peter and Spidey.
EDIT: thanks for all the likes. I'm just hoping this Venom stays true to the source material, but it's looking like Insomniac is nailing it. They've made these characters their own and kept them true to character. I love it!

Actually if you look up MJ's face model, Stephanie Tyler, you can see that they've simply updated MJs face to closer resemble Stephanie (it's pretty much only the eye color that's different now between them)

One of the biggest things that jumped out at me was how much better the new face for peter is in this game than in the remastered. Such a relief to see.

@@WertyTT4 Older Peter fits the game's setting. Peter is supposed to be in his mid-twenties, and experienced Spidey with more than 8 years fighting crime. The remastered version makes no sense, he looks like a teenager again.

John Paesano knocked it out of the park with that Venom theme. The subtle introduction of it when Peter and Harry are talking in the intro then it echoes in epic fashion throughout the trailer.

I love how Miles is the perfect candidate for helping Peter with the symbiote suit since lightning is one of a symbiotes weaknesses
Indeed. Loud sound, and heat are the Venom Symbiote's main weaknesses. As we know, electricity generates heat, a lot of it. Miles is going to have a HUGE advantage against the Venom Symbiote.
Harry and the Symbiote are both angry at Peter. I'm excited to see the transformation.
Normal electricity doesn't hurt venom but miles' bio electricity definitely will as already seen in the comics. But venom in the comics can also go invisible like miles' so their fight should be funny lol

Most definitely. Miles is going to win, obviously, that's how the Symbiote leaves Peter, and goes on to presumably Harry. It could be either Norman and Kraven too. Miles is going to have a HUGE advantage against the Venom Symbiote, with the bioelectricity. As we know, electricity generates heat, a LOT of it. Intense heat is one of the Venom Symbiote's main weaknesses, the other being intense sound.

I really love the callback here to the Ultimate Spiderman universe there doing with Venom, by having him be a piece of medical technology running amok, that line "were going to heal the world" gives me chills!
He isn't, though. While he is used to restore Harry's health and to "assist" in his goals, he is still an alien symbiote in Insomniac's universe.

Early signs of Anti Venom
Literally just noticed that Lizard screeching is causing the Symbiote harm, and you can notice Peter in the back clutching his head. The attention to detail even in that tiny shot proves even further why we need to be extremely excited!
yeah I think that's actually a really big deal, not a small detail. I think that's either how Peter or Kraven figures out the symbiote's weakness, so either Peter now knows how to break it off for that big scene or Kraven rips it off of him for the boss fight

Venom's design looks similar to Web of Shadows Venom. The jagged spikey looking spider emblem on his chest, the soft but gravely deep echoey voice and even his toed feet look like it was inspired by him and I love it

The game did not exceed the trailer expectations, perhaps the trailers set the bar too high and overhyped the game. The game turned out to be a disappointing unfinished game.
Just finished Spiderman with all the DLCs. Phenomenal. Starting on Miles Morales next. Just in time for Spiderman 2 to release. This looks amazing.
