If anyone is wondering, during the time, they found out that the composer of many of the 2000s era of DBZ games, Kenji Yamamoto, plagiarized a lot of the music.
That is why RG2 and Budokai HD Collection music were changed. Even they change the music for DBZ Kai in the rerelease of the kai anime on dvd/blueray. This could also possibly the reason why most dbz games on the ps3 and 360 era were delisted in the online store. The recent one was the Budokai HD Collection that got delisted in 2021.
But still i do enjoy the original music and some of his music are original, idk if Burst Limit ost is purely original.
Pinning this!
I had an original copy of it back when I was 9 but then I had lost it and I bought again when I was 15 and my heart broke when I didn’t hear the original music
Oh I see, so this is the reason I see rb2 gameplays with bt2 music,I though they were modded, well, I really love bt2 soundtrack, but it was sad that Kenji Yamamoto's music was banned even in Dbz kai (intl. version)😢😢
@@nikkiprince9339 I still do enjoy and even love the music he plagiarized. But yeah he is blacklisted from the industry and idk what he is doing, the budokai ost is still is my childhood growing up and I rather have those than bad music or just trendy music...
He is a talented artist but too bad he had to go the other way around to make music.
But the Dokkan OST is still being done by him.
Finding an original release copy is like finding a four leafed clover.
There may be a solution in the works (edit: it got taken down)
@@dylanaruto20 i have one but its not in mint condition
@@cuzwhynot273 2 days from now, you'll have a solution (nvm lmao)
@@dylanaruto20 🤔
@@cuzwhynot273 scratch that. My flight got delayed so I can't make the video until Monday
I have the original game and had no idea they changed the soundtrack and rereleased it
Same hahahhha
What u guys talking 👄 about....some nanobots jump on ur cd to change the game tracks...?
Or otherwise it'll auto update to the current I guess 🙄
@@jaya_surya_a5118 What… How did you become this way?
No they released another version of the disc with different music and the original one webt out of production@@jaya_surya_a5118
Yo same this is blowing my mind
I can’t believe there was a time when I had the game with the original ost
I didn't even know there were two versions but I guess I have the original
@@KiroSalthazar same I recently bought rb2 again to play it and immediately noticed the changed ost
its funny im playing the game right now on my old ps3
Same on my PS3 and Xbox 360 demo
I still have both thank god. I'm so glad I made the decision back then to buy a used copy of the original release after I found out that the game didn’t initially have the BT2 soundtrack.
So your telling me that this whole time I had the original copy of RB2 in my collection and I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW!!!
You said "had" so you no longer have it?
@@JoJoOnUA-cam fax i need to know now myself
Same...
Alright y'all he told me and he still has it @@Roman6ixv3
I had the version where it had the BT2 music. It was my first copy of Raging Blast 2 and one of my first Xbox 360 games. Unfortunately, the disc got destroyed by those damn boxes it comes in.
I used to have GameFly back in the day and the game that came in the mail had the BT2 music. When I bought the actually game a couple months to a year later you could only imagine my confusion when I heard the Japanese opening and different menu music 🤣🤣🤣
I have had to by this game twice, the fist copy had the Japanese opening then when i had to replace this disc i had the BT2 music
I love the boxes
If you wish to know the name of the second song, it's "battle of omega"
I’m still lucky to have a copy with the original soundtrack.
Budokai Tenkaichi 2 still has the best DBZ soundtrack, and they must’ve known that too since they reused it for the replacement tracks of Raging Blast 2
BT3 soundtrack is much better! 😤
@@megamanblack4309 me when i'm wrong

@@megamanblack4309the only song you can even try to say is better than bt2s soundtrack is the iconic “meteor” menu song. And even then bt2 has so many more bangers 🎵
So many bangers in BT2!!
I bought a copy for my 360 years ago and had no idea of the controversy and well yeah I was disappointed af. But NOW, IN 2023 WITH THE POWER OF EMULATION I HAVE ALL THE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK THAT I WANT HOORAAAH
Back when I was little, say 8-9 years old, I was blessed with the original soundtrack. During middle school, I lost the disc because of complications with moving to a new place, so I eventually got another disc and was confused by the soundtrack change but I didn’t remembered the original soundtrack so well (or at least battle of omega) that I just didn’t care about that and would just blast it on my phone when the main intro started to play! What I would GIVE to have that original soundtrack back
I just downloaded the original version to play on PS3, I consider myself a God😂
😢bt2 is trtrtrtr raratara@@Neylliesaw568
O God you to?
So that's why I don't have Battle of Omega in the intro of my game
It's the laughing cow
You must stop him now
This is so nostalgic
I grew up with the BT2 ost raging blast 2 honestly that version means so much to me 😅
Same
if you already have tenkaichi 2 that was just the same version. also the opening cinematic is perfect with the japanese ost
I am 99% sure that I own a pre-music change version of RB2. However the disc is so unbelieveably scratched that it would take a miracle for it to work again. RIP
growing up my friend had the og ost for the game and i was so jealous 😭😭
I’m so happy I have the original music
*goes into raging soul* GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
*Me gets pinballed* 😵💫
@@Doceli-dg3cnI know everyone’s Raging soul combo on Xbox 360!
@@destroyermcw626 😎😎😎 epic
I have the original copy, from back then, in prime condition.
For most of the time, I didn't even knew, that the later releases had a different soundtrack.
This made me hella confused, when I first listened to it on the internet, for fun.
At least you're able to play music off your system so you can still technically have the original soundtrack.
*Me, flexing my copy from day 1 release like:
Same. Got mine for Christmas back in 2010 when I was 13 and still have that same copy to this day. It especially means a lot because my Grandma got it for me and she has since passed away.
I was lucky to have the original soundtrack version growing up
I never knew I had an original copy of it btw how rare are they
same, i never knew until now literally
Extremely. It took me over a year to find one.
@@chrisdelgado4621holy crap I guess I have something rare. How much do they go for used but I’m good condition ?
@@gjergj124 I don’t remember how much my copy cost.
Oh then I had 2
I remember the 360 one having the original tracks. I still have my copy from Waaaaaaaay back when
This has unlocked a secret memory within me
damn you got me, i thought raging blast 2 actually got released again without me knowing about it
Never did I know I had the original coppy until this video came out
Raging blast 2 was my first DBZ game, and I loved it
The backstory is still one of the funniest things to me. He really thought no one would notice.
Its crazy i had multiple copies of raging blast 2 with the original ost but only one of the one that that has the new soundtrack
I had an original copy when I was a kid(didn’t get it on release, I was just lucky to get it from a local GameStop) and I ended up scratching it somehow. Got another one and it ended up being the rereleased version. I was hella confused on why the soundtrack was different and was super sad when I found out that the first one I had was one of the few originals around😭
I still have my original and play it some times just to hear the music😂
I remember when i was younger, i was blessed enough to hear the OG ost, recently i downloaded it to Play and it just feels weird without the Original Audio
I was lucky enough to find a used first release copy on game stop a couple of years back.
I have the re-release copy. Didn't know I was ever missing out on some bangers with the original release that I'm now finding out about
Sparkling 2's soundtrack is good, but it's also one of the weirdest ones for a DB game I've ever heard. that said, it REALLY sucks it serves as a stand-in for the original RB2 soundtrack. boy, am I glad I got a non-rereleased copy AND installed the data on my 360's HD
I bought one with the original soundtrack and returned it😭
BT2 was way more nostalgic for me
you FOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL
@@valentds I regret nothing!😂
It feels weird realizing i still have an original release copy since childhood
I used to have the original one with the og music and singing and everything because my brother is an insane dragon ball fan who had all the dbz games ever except for a few, this game was one of his favs and i loved it so much, but ever since our xbox 360 disc holder broke we did not use those cds fpr the xbox anymore and eventualy we had lost it.
Dam i got that version of the game
You can get the older version on my new video
Double checked my copy and it has the original OST!!! More than 10 years later I never realized
I like the re release ost better just sounded more epic and fit the intro better imo
I remember when I bought the game for the first time and got surprised by not listening to the original opening. I always thought it was just a weird thing related to the international release, it's good to know the actual reason now.
Man I got Raging Blast 2 so late I remember being so disappointed after hearing “battle of omega” on the demo but not the disc
Turns out my library is pretty rare. Afar from this I also got numberous other hard to find games much like the physicls Godzilla PS4 that was taken down really quickly and thus the physicls copies are very scarce
i have an original copy and i had no idea it was rare until recently
I still have the original version for PS3.
I always wondered wtf happened to raging cow. I had an OG copy when it first came out but it went missing. When I got a replacement the best song in the game was gone
Oh neat, I still have the version with the original OST. Didn't even know they changed it.
The composer was caught blatantly plagiarizing from other artists, so all of his “compositions” were replaced with other soundtracks.
I actually have been on the hunt for all the PS3 Era Dragon Ball Games (got all of them except HD Collection) for a year and actually managed to get a mint condition Raging Blast 2 with the og soundtrack literally I was not counting on it having the original soundtrack but when I learned it did I freaked the hell out I was so excited lol the original opening immediately got me hyped playing it (I have all these games on 360 as well but none of them are in mint condition they were all used copies I especially wanted to do this because Raging Blast 1’s center disc was cracking so it was pretty damn bad for that game alone)
Bro I was blessed with the original soundtrack of the game when I got it for my birthday, but bruh, it's a big smh to the person that sold/returned it to gamestop as that's how I got it.
i have an original copy of it which still has the OG soundtrack thankfully!
I had the original release of Raging Blast 2, so it had all the music. I didn't have the version where they replaced the OST from past Dragon-Ball games.
I’m so glad I kept mine wish it were backwards compatible
I didn't get into Dragon Ball until about 2012 or so, I remember being disappointed after looking up the actual RB2 opening realizing mine wasn't the original version
It was no wonder when I got the game again after a long time, it had the Budokai Tenkaichi 2 soundtrack. I never knew I had a rare copy until I put the game in my 360. I thought the game had an option to switch composers
I actually have the original release copy then, me and my homies always wonders why the songs were kind off I thought it was a difference because they were on different consoles
WAIT. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL IN MY POSSESSION?! The Squidward is the RERELEASE WITH BT2 MUSIC?!
When i rebought raging blast 2 and it was tenkaichi 2 music i was so confused i love the tenkaichi 2 ost though its legendary
True story i actually had the original and it got stolen so when i rebought the game it had been the rerelease the music was throwing me off big time
I don't even remember them changing the music for RB2
I had the original copy without realizing it when i was in 3rd grade. It was in 2010 christmas when i got it from game exchange.
I had the OG copy for years and was so confused when my friends had no clue what songs I was humming lol they thought I had a modded copy
GateBreaker and Battle of Omega The goat
Im among the lucky ones that have the RB2 Copy with the Original Soundtrack instead of the Tenkaichi 2 tracks
You everywhere i go bro 😂😂😂😂
I have the one that has the BT2 ost
Honestly its actually considered more RARE to get your hands on a copy of i think
I love the BT2 soundtrack so much, but I’m glad my copy still has the original music
That was Budokai Tenkaichi 2's music in the beginning as y'all know it paid the way for them all to have what they got now but even better than before.
I have the day one Copy of Raging Blast! Its amazing
I had an original release copy, I put so many hours into the game that the disc legit wouldn't read anymore.
You've been meaning to tell me that one of my favorite games to play as a child and now one of my favorite games to play when I'm visiting my dad... IS AN ORIGINAL COPY??!!
I still got the original copy with the original music for ps3. Glad I still do seeing as it’s rare nowadays.
I remember getting RB2 and being super let down that it was the re-released version. Of course it was years after it actually released so I can’t exactly complain
I can't believe I have the original.
Low key kinda wish they found out a couple years after so we could've gotten Budokai HD with good music.
it can be modded into the original music
@@something707 Yeah, but modding an X360 can ban your account. And I am not particularly in the mood to have a second one just for modding purposes unless the scene is pretty big on it.
Budokai hd new music fits more than original
@@xxe2 Very hard disagree, but to each their own.
@@Medachod no its will be weird playing original themes on hd version and doesnt fits him at all
Had bought a used copy on eBay but had the tenkaichi 2 ost. Wanted a sealed copy bought it on eBay and lucked out with the OG ost.
I wish I never traded in my RB2. I was broke and wanted different games tho being I was 14
Didnt realise there were two versions I only recognise the original lol, still got the game next to the rest of my dragonball collection
My older brother introduced me to dragon ball with this game, and dragon ball origins 2 on ds. He got raging blast 2 on launch day so it had that cool sparking music. Dragon ball origins 2 is dead ass one of the best beat em ups on the ds and thats not even bias, its incredibly incredibly overlooked and underrated though
I didn't even know there was a re-release
I like the new soundtrack. That guitar hits different
I had no idea they even rereleased the game with new music :O
I bought my copy off ebay about 2 years ago, but I grew up with the demo, (but not dragon ball lol, i got it free because i loved collecting random demos, even if i didnt understand the SM. Didnt get into DBZ until around 3-4 years ago), and its the original version too! That's honestly wicked asf!
Gatebreaker is still godly
I always thought I was nuts when i found different versions
I grew up with the one month after release version
Never knew this. I still have my copy for the ps3 with the original soundtrack
I remember playing the demo and the music being different once I got the actual game. I was so damn disappointed when I heard the BT2 opening theme.
Didn't they also use the re-release op in the english version of budokai tenkaichi 2
Yup
I wish I lived in a world where Raging Blast 2 featured its original soundtrack and Budokai Tenkaichi 2's soundtrack.
I knew I wasn’t tripping I always had the one with the second sound track
Didnt realize i had an original copy until i saw this cideo, hot damn i wish i still had my 360
You learn something new everyday....
I feel the complete opposite about this. The remake was miles better than the original release.
So glad i had an original copy when i was a kid
I STILL HAVE MY ORINGINAL
My friend had the version with the original OST. I got it myself later and was confused why it had a different soundtrack. I was fine with it tho, BT2’s soundtrack is some heat
I love how I have both copies in really good condition because I took care of them
I have the original version. Got it for my birthday the year the game came out, which I guess must’ve been early enough in its release to still get the original soundtrack. (My birthday is in February, so idk if anyone knows when specifically the change was made.)
Battle of Omega hits different
I was trying out the game since i had nostalgia for it and i found out they changed it, The original is so much better than the new one
