    You mentioned that this can be played on an acoustic guitar too. I've heard that done. On the day in 1969 when I met Muddy Waters, white blues guitarist Gordon Smith was there too. He started playing it and Muddy started singing! Magic!

    Thank you for this lesson, I was trying to play it with the standard tuning, but it didn't sound good..yours is the right way.

    Glad you're doing open G slide. Wonderful. Do slide players raise the action action a small amount? Or is it just a personal thing as far as tone and buzz?

    Open A is the original tuning, but it's the same (1 up)

    His vibrato, and you've come close, sounds a lot like the sound of his voice when he would shake his head, let his jowls wiggle, when he was singing.
