2010 Ford Kuga steerling lock removal ( UK )

So i got the dreaded ' steering locked ' warning on this 2010 ford kuga 2.0 TDCi. The problem at this time is not fixed but i have managed to remove it this morning. If anyone has any advice for me on if a new or second hand unit would need coding to the car please let me know. and also if anyone knows of anyone in or around Liverpool that can help with that.
anyway this is how i removed the lock and also got the 2 x securitry bolts out.
