NZ is known for its stunning scenery but I had no idea just how beautiful this country is. All the houses were gorgeous but I think Bill & Michael made an excellent choice. I wish them much happiness in their Port Chalmers home. God bless. xx
Such lovely gentlemen, and Ben is adorable. Those homes though...Wow! such great options. I am a little white cottage gal myself but found no fault with any of those gorgeous homes. So happy for them...brilliant choice.
they seem fun but i can't get over how much they look alike as in like brothers instead of a couple! lol oh well they do say married couples end up looking alike these two just got a head start on that part! :D
I had to watch the 3 homes repeatedly, that is the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th to decide which one to pick. The 3rd one is really beautiful. I love how the kitchen leads into the outdoor space and the rooms are quite big and spacious. However, the house was a bit too dark. Paint might lift it a bit but it didn't have the greatest curb appeal or outside space. The 4th home had the most beautiful curb appeal, the house was gorgeous no doubt but I don't know why, my heart remains drawn to house 2. I believe at the price of the 3rd and 4th if that extra saved money is used to revamp the 2nd home, it would look a lot better and nicer and would be my pick.
Dunedin is a lovely place. But if you've never been there, you have to be prepared to experience crazy weather. It can be scorching hot one day, very cold the next. We were there over Christmas (early summer) and were cycling in a sleet storm. Lots of rain, but beautiful when the sun shines!
Lovely couple. I just can't believe that he didn't tell them to offer less. They could have got that place way cheaper. Of course it was signed within 24 hours. I mean it is a much quicker process here to buy n sell a house than it is in the UK, so it was a bit weird that he said it was a longer process, but he totally should have advised them to offer way way less. With their budget, they could've bought most properties here in Dunedin.
@@Sc0ttynzl Yes, the prices range. That's not an indication of the average price. One recently sold for 143,000 pounds too, so the prices are extremely varied. There are a lot of historic and ultra modern house in Port Chalmers, and they tend to go for more. I live down the road from there, and not many houses for sale in Dunedin, and prices have risen heaps since this show aired. Our house has tripled in value in the last 2 years, so it's swings and roundabouts.
Describing NZ as a "former British colony"!! is demeaning with not a single mention of Maori whakapapa. When I lived in the UK, I loved Place in the Sun and as I now live in Port Chalmers, I was very interested in this episode, but the introduction is a demonstration of British history ignorance and in-factual statements the media love to make :|
Why does each segment repeat the same details about who they are and what they're looking for. Boring! And who wants to live in cold Dunedin!! Charming couple.

Each house is better than the last. I'm in love with all of them. I may have to move to NZ.

Not much different to living in the north of England, in fact, a lot better! Stunning beaches, lots of wildlife and hardly any snow
Loved this episode. I want to move to NZ so badly... just gotta keep saving and praying for work transfer
So glad they didn't mess about making their offer and not surprised it was accepted so quickly!
Really enjoyed this episode.

Such beautiful properties
It’s a 24 hour flight from the UK - here you really can escape from it all 🤣🤣🤣
Lovely couple guys :)
These gay bears have wonderful personalities!
♥️😁♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
so where is the couple/?
The realtor looks like an undercover MacGruber)))
Needs shave
Unfortunately, it looks like the place didn't work for them in the long term. They sold the place in July 2020.
Too far away! A 24 hour flight 😱
What Is Happened On The Day Of Judgement?

364 thousand POUNDS is far too much in NZ$.
It looks overdeveloped like in the US. It's ugly.
