    Unless Nintendo radically changes the control scheme, I hope these controllers work on the Switch successor. It makes me feel weird investing in a controller or several this late into the console generation without knowing. Even still, fantastic run down video and breakdown of each controller. Very much appreciated!

      I can't imagine a reason for Nintendo to remove Bluetooth, so probably nothing to be worried about!

      I wouldn’t see why not, along with the Switch Online classic controllers. They’ve already announced that it will be backwards compatible with software, so hopefully it will be backwards compatible with most if not all the accessories.

    I'm a semi-new Switch OLED owner with a fondness for old school membrane buttons, so the joycons to me are somewhat unpleasant to use. Zelda ToTK in particular has poorly thought out controls, so getting a controller with bindable/programmable grip buttons has increased my enjoyment of the game!
    I have been surprised by this Funlab Firefly Luminous controller so far and I have to recommend it at the US $30 price point. It feels like a blend of an Xbox One/X/S controller with a Switch Pro Controller, with a hint of Sega Genesis in the D-pad (cross-style spare comes in box). Now I can jump while running plus moving the camera, and this gives me a sense of fluid control usually reserved for mouse and keyboard.

    I had a Rival Labs controller that was $30, it lasted 3 years before getting stick drift. Had gyro and rumble and battery life was decent. GameSir Nova Lite having Hall Effect sticks is great especially at the price point. I love the feel of the controller especially the dpad for 2D games.

    Really good video, i wanted to buy a pro controler but the the stick drift issue is not tolerable for that price. I'll pick Game sir nova.

    Have you tested the battery life on the gamesir nova and can you share the results? thanks :)

      I haven't charged it since I received it. You can check my original video covering it for more. I used it just yesterday and I have been playing every game on my switch with it as my main controller. It's listed as 12 hours of gameplay. So far it seems to be true.

    My Nintendo switch pro controller has designs on it I thought that was the standard but looking at yours I guess mine is not the standard

      @RedBandanaGaming  6 місяців тому +1

      Standard is simple black. There are eight different variations, if I'm not mistaken.

    How does the easysmx x05 compare to the nova?

      I prefer the Nova. Nova feels better and has HD rumble.

    I just spent $20 on a wireless usb adapter for the dock so I can use my ps4 controller on it 🤷‍♂

    Does ultimate c really have a hall effect? Aren't they ALPS JOYSTICKS?

    • @RedBandanaGaming
      @RedBandanaGaming  2 місяці тому

      There are revised versions of all their ultimate controllers. Look for the hall effect symbol when purchasing them.

      @@RedBandanaGaming I don't know... the 8bitdo website doesn't say anything about hall effect for the bluetooth version, only for the ultimate 2c model. That's why I have my doubt.

      On the other hand, I am undecided about the gamesir nova which, despite having better specifications on paper, at least on Amazon the ratings do not support it. 8bit do ultimate c, even without hall effect, has a better reputation. For 29.99 I have not found anything better. Maybe 24.99 easy smx t39 pro? What do you think?

      @@RedBandanaGaming Are you sure about this? The Ultimate 2C has hall effect sticks but is not Switch compatible at this time. The Ultimate C is Switch compatible but does not have hall effect sticks. And the Ultimate Controller and Pro 2 controllers have them now, as you seemed to indicate.
