    At the conclusion:
    I am beginning to adore ❣️ your alto saxophone performance as much as I admire your tenor saxophone delivery, especially the tonal quality, your mastery of the organic jazz vocabulary during your improvisation, as well as the smoothness, control, note- precision and speed you have displayed.
    I am, in a jealous way, reluctant to say that you are underselling yourself, performance wise, if I may.
    One still needs, at your convenience, encore performances with analyses and advisement, too.
    Lohvissimo!
    Thanks 😊, champ.

      I'm saving the big stuff for a different platform. UA-cam doesn't really do artists justice with the way the platform is set-up. Thanks for the kind words.

    I really admire your take on the Alto saxophone. But can you please advise; I was playing tenor all the while, but wanted to try an alto and your tricks and tips. But I find myself more exhausted than ever before. Alto sax offers more resistance everywhere, in every register. Tenor is so much easier to play! Am I imagining this?

      You are not imagining this. Try a smaller tip opening with softer reeds. A 7 tip opening mpc on alto is not the equivalent resistance of a 7 on tenor. Same with reed strengths. Good Luck!

    Thank you. I've started to play tenor because of you.
    I think will be a great idea if you can make a video same like this but just adding fingering showing on the chart kinda left or right.

    What is the logic behind overblowing Eb to hit the high E? Doesn’t line up with standard overtones.

      The saxophone is smaller at the top and larger at the bottom. It is not a perfect cone

    Have you tried synthetic reed legere american cut yet? Would like to hear your thoughts!

    Curious can you explain why not use regular fingering through F# and then play altissimo? I think I know why but would love to hear you explain it.

      It puts your hands and your embouchure in an awkward position.

    Pls what's the best reed to perfect altissimo

    • @Sirvalorsax
      @Sirvalorsax  2 роки тому +2

      That is an interesting question. It depends more on your setup than just the reed. The combination of reed choice (brand and strength), mouthpiece and mouthpiece tip opening and embouchure, and air pressure.
