I don't think there should be potentially dangerous. I think if it's going to injure you then concede the position. If not you can tweak your knee and still get taken down.
Some people's ACL/MCL are like rubber bands and it does not hurt them. I agree with @possummm and should not be potential. The person put in that position is doing it with their own will, not the other way around. If it bothers you, bail from the position.
I love Crookhams style, he wrestles like a Russian. He waits, and watches his opponent. All while keeping incredible position and displaying impenetrable defense. When they lose focus he attacks and scores.
I mean your losing with 54 seconds left on your feet and you shoot once???against a team with zero chance at winning? Was he saving a move for nationals thinking dont let him see it now?
Davis needs to learn a few offensive moves in the later periods where he seems the most tired and conservative. Nothing wrong with being conservative if you already done work to be ahead, but losing a takedown and escape, and not doing anything to get back the takedown, winning those close matches become few and far between. Hope he improves throughout the season. But I think most he’ll do this year alone with the way he’s wrestling is at best all American, still great but not ncaa champ stuff
The thing is… who you’re wresting matters. Shooting, when it’s all said and done, is easy. Getting in deep and finishing is harder. Now top it with the fact you’re wrestling someone with nonexistent knees and a great counter scorer you’re going to shoot less, and wait for a perfect shot. As seen at 5:00. Crookham already isn’t the most offensive wrestler. He will pick and choose when to light up the score. Braeden has no signature shot that you’d need to study for. It defines him and his offense and I think that’s what starts to harm him. He’s similar to Bartlett in which, he’s always in a match because the score is always close. I think that’s just his style, instead of changing it to something it isnt, he should just add to it. You have Luke Lilledahl and Ankle Picks, RBY and Go Behinds, Aaron Brooks and Under Hooks. Ryan Crookham and his Knee Pull from space. Marcus Blaze and Arm Drags, Bo Bassett and Front Head Lock, Jax Forrest and slide Bys, PJ Duke and foot sweeps. Every top of the top wrestlers has something that defines and highlights their offense.
Everyone gets better… he has a harder bracket to win. He’s never been bonused in folk in college, I haven’t seen him ever be bonused in high school either. However, just cause you can keep a score close doesn’t mean you can win. He’s unable to finish on Crookham, so single legs don’t work. So he needs to end it quick, a double leg will do that for him, but he’s not the most explosive guy, and Crookham loves to wrestle from Space. This is an interesting match up. I think Braeden can beat anyone. He’s good defensively, solid offense, and doesn’t seem to struggle to much in bottom. I think him being at Penn St, he can AA.
@xzjayz7925 not everyone gets better. A lot of good recruits come in and don't do much in college or they peak. We'll see. Braeden looks like a much bigger kid since last year. He is moving way better too. A lot if folks are thinking Crookham is going to walk through the bracket at nationals. He very well could win it but that isn't just going to be handed to him.
@@shane508 Crookham has never been a guy to bonus multiple people. We know this by now, high school and college. He still finds a way to win though. That’s also why he was upset by Bouzakis in High school.
He's supposed to do exactly what the commentator said: generate some sort of offense. He wasn't doing anything in the 3rd to even earn the two stall calls that he got. Can't complain when you don't even try.
@@advenjlhe's the best. I think that's his point though, that he lost a close match. That's crookhams style though. Hes in a lot of close matches and wins them all.
5:00 there's your shot right there. Took as many shots as Crookham. You’re clearly bias but please for the love of… be a smart and rational with your Bias 🤦🏽♂️. Oh here’s another one 1:52. He actually took MORE shots than Crookham… please shut up 😂.
Hard to watch crookham when he puts that knee in potentially dangerous on purpose
That looked nasty.
Its not a move you can use your whole career cause someone is gonna break it eventually.
@@jakoblennon08Maybe? Kolat did it his whole career.

1:17 Victor Arujau lol
Turned the volume off after that 😂😂
I don’t want to spoil it. But the wrestler wins.
😂😂😂
Davis needed to try an attack or two and see what Crookham can do to defend. Would have gotten the stall calls a lot earlier in the match.
Who is Victor ?
Trick knee defense should be illegal.
No
Yes because kids do it on purpose to get a potentially dangerous don’t know why you’d risk it but
Davis u obviously know this already but u have 2 generate some offense out there if u wanna win or just podium
Can anyone tell why I can no longer get Jeff byers videos
On you tube

P❤❤n,32 was no pm
Backing up is stalling
It’s silly to call stalling when there is no offense. Terrible last minute approach by Davis. Did he legitimately shoot once? The answer is no.
@ you can’t take a Hail Mary shot chasing the guy across the mat
Normally I would agree with you but he didn’t take one shot. That was pathetic.
@@htown1475you can shoot if the guy backs up actually a low single is great against a backing up guy

Davis shot, but once you realize the guy is going to bend his knee immediately to stop the action, you stop shooting.
Davis has gotten better since last year. I think Davis can will it all this year
not likely...

You can't generate offense when your opponent is backing up. That is stalling. What was Davis supposed to do take a shitty shot and get countered?
You can’t generate offense if you’re so much worse than your opponent😅

Absolutely! You're damned if you do, damned if you don't. That stalling call was on point.
lol just point at the center
He didn’t even attempt a shot. Not stalling. Just bad wrestling from PSU.
Davis now knows he could be a national champ at 133. Not a total loss
I would not be so sure of that. Crookham won 3 Pa state titles and is not a slouch.

Nice win ryan. Stalled last period.
How about showing the damn score on the video!!!
Davis is always moping off the mat when he loses. Needs to work on his attitude.

situational stalling is stupid. Davis legitimately didn’t even try to shoot in the last minute🤣
SO BORING! Waste of time.
Crookham is what we don't want in wrestling.
Davis is hurt
What a boring match. No shots in a whole third period.
