Finally a great pianist who shows every part from beginning to end slowly and understandable. Then plays all the way through. Awesome kudos 👏 to you. Love it Mj
I really like the way you break each part down into measures! That is just what I need. I am a mediocre player but I am determined to learn this piece. I know I can do this. I also like the way you included the timing foe each hand....Thank you!

I like that the left and right hands are slow. I'd love to see a blues song where both hands are super super slow together. I mean realy slow to get where each hand, time wise should be. Only way I seem to learn. Then I can speed it up. Thanks
@Jim Wilson thanks for your comment 😊 I’m pleased you’re enjoying the video 😊😊 did you watch demo 2 at 14:41 in the video ? That’s slow tempo with both hands 😊 thanks for watching 🎹❤️🎹
Thanks for the quick response. It is slow, but I don't think it is slow as your right hand example at 5:35. And honestly I could use both hands even slower to hopefully get them in sync. Maybe for a future song. I try slowing to .25 speed, but the sound is to distorted to follow. No matter how long I practice, all thumbs. Independently I'm ok. Getting discouraged!

Mr M is a good riff composer. these are the kind of songs where hearing the timing means more than counting it out. I noticed after a while, i started just having that feeling of when to move the melody and often it is just before the prior chord finishes. i believe this is a result of improving hand independence. i also love that feel of easing a triplet through the 4/4 timing. i actually have to mentally free float one hand while i focus on the triplet timing, the famous little stomp thing where you hit the right hand chord in a staggered fashion also helped me get better at this.
@jj rusy he’s great isn’t he 😊 and I totally agree , I was able to copy the timing just by listening and didn’t really need to think about counting it. When I came to write it out though , I had to figure out the timing but I don’t do that to play it . Triplets are king 👑😀🎹❤️🎹

I just got a piano about 2 weeks ago and fell in love with Blues/boogie. You make it very easy for me to learn so keep doing what you are doing!!!!! I've just completed bars 1-8 and it only took me a few days (2-3 hours per day). The only question i have at this point is the 4 notes at 5:10, I just cant seem to press them fast enough before my left hand hits the next note. I feel like i have to slow down my left hand at that part in order for it to work. Any help would be great!!!
@NeverendsTTV hi 👋🏿😀 how lovely that you’ve just got yourself a piano 😀 I’m pleased you’re enjoying the video 😀 Re the 5:10 do you mean the Eb - D - C - A ? If so , my advice would be to play only the Eb and A initially as those notes come with the left hand 😊 once you can do that easily , then you’ll find it easier to squeeze in the missing notes 😊
@@neverendsttv8357 hmm 🤔 I think you could be right , I may have only played the Eb/D# once at the beginning 😁 I probably play it differently every time haha 😂 but the “right” way is to play it twice . Definitely don’t worry if just once is easier for you though 😊 Re slowing it down , there’s a slow , close up demo at 14:41 which you may find more useful 😊 Thanks so much for the great feedback and thanks for watching 🎹❤️🎹
