- My miniature dachshund gave birth to two beautiful baby girls. One black and tan, and the other red dapple. This video shows them growing up to two cute and independent dogs. Spoiler... I kept one.

Also so good seeing you use a harness for leashing on mom. So many people still use neck collars for leashing when it can cause injury and even death when they get snagged on something and the dog gets hurt trying to escape or even when they might dash off from a fright and reach the end of the leash and injure their necks! You too are a great fur baby mom!
Dachshunds are amongst the best mothers. Very careful and diligent. Protective and sometimes a bit too busy with the cleaning. Now rerired from breeding and judging after 50 years this takes me back. I would never leave the mother once she started in labour anc would sleep with mum and the pups until they opened their eyes.

This video was so wholesome. I’ve had a rough few days with a poorly dachshund puppy, and in the process of getting up to help her in the night, falling and fracturing my jaw and loosing a tooth. My little doxie is finally properly on the mend with some antibiotics and steroids… and with this beautiful video, I’m finally feeling upbeat and happy myself.❤

@@ayinyang555z very much so thank you, my dog is completely recovered… I’m feeling a lot less battered and bruised too, got another dental surgery to go once my jaw is properly healed but I’m not in any major pain so it’s all good.❤️

This is what a responsible breeder looks like - her dogs are clearly not a business transaction of a commodity,.
I have a mini brown/black brindle doxie, bred for show but too small for breeding, acquired from breeder @ 2yrs with stipulation that she be fixed, prior to AKC papers given. Respect to the breeder, as welfare of pup overriding financial opportunity. Vet subsequently confirmed assessment (too small to carry puppies).

I have "owned" many dogs, but never a Dachshund. This video was great! I must admit I would have kept the black and tan girl because she seemed to be much more charming than her sister. How to choose? How to choose? Arf arf! 🐈🐈⬛💞

I remember when I took my Basset Hound outside to toilet after having 8 pups and she relaxed out there. After she had a wee, I had to remind her that I wasn’t going to take care of them by myself.
