Few basic tips for people who want to play this mod: -To reload your gun you need to have to the ammo, clip or magazine equiped on your belt, othervise you wont be able to reload. -In your starting gear always take a dosimeter so you can see when you are getting irradiated. This can help you avoid radiation hotspots. -When you start as a loner my tactic is to sneak as far a possible without the soldiers noticing you then run like hell. Just be carefull to not lead them to the rookie village, because they will kill every stalker in the village except sid. -When you find a can of food you need to open it using your knife first, before you can eat it. (Just drag your knife on the can in your inventory) -You can craft some usefull items in your inventory, for example by putting bread and sausage together you can create sausage sandwich that fils you much more. (To craft it just drag the items on top of each other in your inventory) -By putting any fabric and a bottle of vodka together you can make makeshift bandage. -To scrap clothing for parts drag a knife on top of it in your inventory, the same with guns except you need a tool for that. -Collect every empty bottle you find (especially plastic ones as they are light) if it has irradiated watter you can just pour it out and bring them to a trader that can fill them with water. -There are trades in game that can fill your bottles with water. Those I know of are Barkeep in Rostok, a loner at the pump station in Great swamps, a military barman in Agroprom, Profesor Sakharov in Yantar, barman in the Bandit base in Dark valley, barman in the merc base in Dead city and barman in the Army warehouses. There are dedefinitely more, but I never been north of the brain scorcher in this mod. -If you have a lot of expensive irradiated items you can bring the to profesor Sakharov and he can remove the radiation for a fee. Get a good gasmask as soon as you can so you dont have to worry about radiation as much. (If you can get one that has full plastic face because the ones that have only eyeholes obscure vision a lot, though I believe this can be turned of in the settings I hope some of these tips will be usefull to you. If you have your own tips for this mod please drop them bellow I imagine there is still a lot I dont know yet :).
extra tips: - if you found some broken radio, walkie talkie, other electronic stuff: unload the batteries. It's always at 100% condition and you can sell em for a few change. - Get either a rifle or a shotgun in starting perks. Trying to repair a broken gun you scavenged is a pain in the ass. Not to mention using a broken gun has a chance to injure you. - There is a bug(?) where you can simply change the barrel of any gun (with a barrel kit) multiple times to repair it. You can get to 100% durability by repairing the barrel over and over. But then again hunting for barrel kits depends on what faction of mechanic you are talking to. - I know this sounds weird in a stalker game but: Don't drink vodka, it barely reduces radiation sickness in this mod. Vodka has better uses like crafting makeshift bandages, using the bottles as water container and irradiation antidote (drag potassium permagranate and vodka together, you can remove irradiated status on items with this antidote) - There are some items that you cannot clean from irradiation status like bread, opened food cans, sausage, and the crow drink. So if they are already irradiated, just throw them away, they are beyond saving. - The most common ammo are 5.45, 12x70, and the 9mms so get guns that uses those. What I'm trying to say is anything other than those calibers are hard to get. - Army Warehouses is basically a free loot kingdom with a risk (this is why Duty, Freedom, Mercs and maybe Monoliths are the best factions in this mod) - Do not eat mutant meat. Cooked or not. They are better to be sold to barman which can get you a few money. Same can be said to any kind of mushroom (yes there are mushrooms in this mod) - Speaking of mushrooms, they are just like irl they grow in dark places like under a tree or next to a boulder. The Amanitas are free cash :) - Bolt packs are quite useless since you can simply pick up bullet casings after a firefight and use them as same as bolts. - Some perks aren't very useful. For example the Radio Lover perk, the process of calming yourself down after a psy attack with radio music is very slow. - Speaking of calming yourself after a psy attack, smoking a cig or two can calm you down (just like irl) - You can actually craft the Duplet shotgun from the metro series. I forgot the recipe but i think its heavy weapon scraps, clean double barrel, single mode trigger part and shotgun weapon scraps (ill edit this comment if i found the recipe again) - Swiss army knife is cool but they are just worse knives. Basic utility knife can do the same stuff as swiss army knife do but more durable and better. - Hatchets and axes are the only ones that can butcher thick skinned mutant parts. Plus they can break boxes in two shots. - If you are neutral with bandits, the bandit barman in dark valley can give you a free bottle of vodka and a game of russian roulette (no joking). If you win the bet you can get 2000 UAH (cmiiw) but only one time though. - Any item that emits radiation/irradiated can "infect" your clean items into irradiated items. There is a gadget called "Pouch" where you can put clean items to protect them from radiation. (But the cheaper solution is simply turn off item irradiation lolol) - Once you accept a quest, there is a timer for it like a day or two. The more time you take to finish the quest the lesser the reward money. But there is a feature in this game where you can accept the reward money as reward item where it does not get affected by the timer. But most of the time the reward item is usually shit, so take your pick and calculate your efforts. - Avoid getting fractured. Fractured bone = pain, pain = no progressive healing. To cure fracture use splint (Bandage + Exo servo, expensive i know.) or just go to a faction medic. - So far I never seen ANYONE making past the brain scorcher in this mod. Its just too damn buggy and wacky to find money in the first place, let alone continuing the story. - If you accept Fanatics training in cordon, never finish the first training so that you can get a free artifact and hunting knife :)))) - Make use of bugs to your advantage. I had a bug one time where a clear sky guy died to a helicopter and all of his items were in 100% condition. I used his gear until i finally gave up on that save. That's what i know so far other than your tips. Sorry for bad grammar, english is not my first language
@IrrationalDelusion If suffering is the "point" of life, there's a problem. It's like saying we life with our main goal being wanting to suffer lol. It's a consequence of life, it's to be expected, not sought-after.
I remember trying it out and being really confused, then finding a mod ON MODDB, that was called "Wh*te P*wer" and it was, of course, a winter texture pack. It had beautiful screenshots tho. I never returned.
I was just playing this mod when the notification came. Got some nice memories from this mode. One time I was just hanging out in rookie village when a monolithian charged in wearing an exoskelton and shooting a Vss vintorez. Together with other stalkers we eventualy took him down, then the loner who killed him took his Vss vintorez and I got the exoskelton with 70 percent durability. Another time I was going to see sid and two pseudogiants rampaged trought the rookie village killing every one and killed me in sids bunker. Most recent interesting memory is when I was doing a clear sky run and made a run to cordon, but I forgot to take water with me and sid and the stalkers didnt have any, so I had to search the whole cordon and finaly in the midle of the night on the brink of dying from dehydration I found 2 bottles of pure water in a stash. Despite having a lot of problems this mod still scratches an itch for me that even stalker gamma doesnt. Having to count every bullet, every rubble, load every magazine and literaly fight to get even basic stuff feells so rewarding to sit at the campfire with your fellow stalker at the end of good day in the zone knowing everything you earned was trough blood an sweat. I recomed this mod to anyone who likes a good chalenge.
Well I would rather say that's a mod for masochists. I don't want to say it's a dogshit because I like the immersion and general idea of the mod, but that's a lil bit too much. The mod doesn't give you any hints, you're figuring out everything on your own, you get easily lost in all of this because of how much detailed it is and bro from your experience and this video I would call this mod not for fun but it's like you enter the ruthless zone irl. I saw that you can try this mod on ironman, well GOOD FUCKING LUCK. I'm curious if there are really some crazy people to do this on ironman. This mod can't be even compared to gamma, it's so hard that gamma has nothing to say right now. But well if I were to choose between this mod and gamma modpack, I would definitely pick gamma. This mod is also not perfect, well balanced and it's not for my patience, I would probably destroy my pc than play this. I would call this one solid 4/10
@@V1ctor_y It's pretty easy to get used to this mod I did without any explanation or looking up anything. It's not easy to play a Loner Duty is probably the easiest. Gamma is definitely for casual players if you want an extremely immersive experience this is one of the best mods for it and it's definitely not for everyone but if you check the moddb page for this the devs even say this. This is for hardcore players only that have had a lot of experience with stalker already.
Man i remember seeing people talk like this about Radiophobia. And then by the time i installed it, it was already updated a couple of times - and not so hard anymore, because apparently some features were bugs. I wanted it to be hard so much, that i had to edit the cfg files - and make it so that you can only buy armor. And i limited myself to only one save per day. This did change the gameplay sooo much, i had to measure 4 times and cut only once. I then decided to finally try the Invictus in gamma and i stopped a month or two ago because i lost my job to ai lol. But Yeah, the thing is - when a game is like area, you need to treat it like a simulation and not a game. Its fun to completely act differently than you usually do, and when you slow down - you might think it will become boring, but actually it becomes 10 times more fun.. Because every victory is 10 times more significant. As soon as i can i will try area, because i wanted to make gamma as difficult as that, but i cant stand the loading times for inventories and zones in the mid game. Thats what probably made me burn out...
My longest life in this mod was like 5 days, I gave up on the character cus I didn't have any water and could not leave the Cordon due to a message saying the road was blocked by anomalies, try again after Emission. The other exits were available to buy from Sid in exchange for a Jellyfish but I didn't have money or a detector.
What is the obsession with stalker modders and creating the most disgusting inventory management and movement system possible with a dash of motion sickness thrown in?
hey! player who got to the AREA endgame here i can give you this advice about the mod: 1: time missions are fake. 1 week can pass and you will still not fail the mission, you will still get money but not rep 2: you were leaving the army checkpoint by the wrong side, you are supposed to go to the one on the right with that anomaly, you can avoid it just go to the opposite side of the tree 3: dont play this mod as youre average mod, play kinda fast paced avoid open spaces combat and try to camp inside a house or somewhere where they cant flank you from more than 1 place 4: use stashes as your own stashes since the weight system in this mod is very tough 5: boxes have some good loot but i wouldnt suggest you to waste your time breaking them with an axe since they take a lot of hits, use a grenade instead (they are very common and most npcs have it 6: PRESS F5 A LOT (also turn off irradeated items since its a poorly made feature and its tedious for no reason at all) 7: if you dont want to suffer a lot try using snipers 8: radiation DOES NOT EXIST IN THIS MOD SO DONT WASTE YOUR STARTING MONEY IN VODKA OR A MASK 9: most npcs that die have clothes with pockets wich means you can store ammo there to reload without needing to open the inventory (just pressing R) 10: dont put mutant skin on your pockets like you would do normally, they offer little protection and take a lot of space and kilograms from you so its not worth it
Normally i don't laugh when i watch your videos. But this one had me laughing for the first 20 minutes. Then Sid asks you if you are drunk or something. That was just the icing on the cake. Jeez man I'm getting flashbacks of p;laying Misery for the first time 12 years ago.
Misery really isn't all that hard once you get used to it and have decent gear this mod continues to have a level of difficulty for quite a while because of a decent weight system which makes you really think about what you should pick up because you can't pick up an unrealistic amount of things without dropping most of it on the ground or moving extremely slow this mod is for hardcore players that like a challenge.
@@rmcgowa1987 ofc it itsnt that difficult but Misery was really the first of its kind with the whole focus on ''realism'' and most people were not used to it and played the game similar to the base game which obviously wasnt working. me included
oh god that old school loadout selection without directly seeing images. When I started out playing this was a nightmare cause I didnt know what I needed nor what most things are
Wallet is also useful in this mod (unlike in other projects where they give you wallet item that does nothing) because NPCs can give you reward in money... in physical form (banknotes) - not just roubles, but euro and dollars too. And their value might be different? Not sure (because I've not played that long) but that would be cool dynamic - you can sell banknotes early for less because you need in-game money (duh) and can't hoard it for later when your reputation give better selling prices for your banknotes.
The reason you get physical cash is to add an element of realism stalkers who aren't traders don't have access to digital currency so they give you physical currency of some kind. Which you then need to convert to digital currency in order for it to be used and just like in real life there is an exchange rate so you aren't going to get back exactly what you converted. It isn't perfect due to engine limitations random stalkers can give you digital currency if you sell something to them. Sadly I don't think there is any way to fix this.
I was playing Radiophobia 3 recently and had to go past some dogs near that tunnel in Cordon near Elevator and decided to climb on top of the truck thinking I'd be safe. Dogs immediately proved that was useless 😭
You have not played LOST ALPHA yet? OMG that is easily the best Stalker experience out there. I actually envy you this. LA must be on top of all mods! I would love to see your ranking chart of all story mods you have played with your commentary. I hope you make it soon. Looking forward to it.
@@ahobacha Yeah I saw snippets of a play through of it the map is absolutely huge they probably should have made it more accessible to vehicles to be honest. Despite OGSR Gunslinger basically forcing you into close quarters combat they did a fairly excellent job with the vehicles most maps accommodate vehicles quite well the vehicles in OGSR Gunslinger are the best I've seen so far.
Ohhhh Cheeki... I love immersive mods. But this by far is the wackiest one yet. The movement feels so right and wrong at the same time. Got any tips to get used to it? Would like to retry it in the future
you just need to get used to it, had the same problem years ago when I first started AREA but I think if you get past it you are in for a real nice but miserable experience
@@rmcgowa1987 I also really enjoy the movement even the headbobbing, but they changed the movement in the 1.17 update and I found it much more enjoyable in 1.16
The mechanics in this mod is different than any other mod, also it's the hardest survival mod amongst all the other mods, the first mutants and enemies that spawned was the heavy hitting ones and all I had with me was a broken AK.
at about 01:01:00 it is inside the bubble anomaly(or whatever the name is) and if u listen u hear the sound like something is in there but the game doesn't show it.(it happens with other anomalies 2) generally if I don't have the scientific detector, I will never go artifact hunting so I don't know about this detector, but if the same happens I make quick save then quick load. if the problem is with anomaly (or game) the artifact will jump out
From what I see in the video and read in the comments of people who have played this mod more .. it looks very much like the closest to the Tarkovsky movie I have ever seen a Stalker game to be.
I noticed that the small backpack was more expensive in the load out menu than a medium backpack costs from sid, maybe the strat is to only get essentials from the load out and save some money to buy other gear once in the zone.
@@CheekiBreekiTv 1:18:55 I died lol but hey bro respect for sticking w STALKER but dont feel bad abt switching it up every once in a while to not get burnt out yo... ALTHOUGH modded runs like this is the most entertaining shoot to a lot of ppl it seems with 50K views ykyk.
I had a bug on the previous version of AREA (v1.1694, clean, no mods) where dropped smartphones from npcs can turn into 100% condition if you dont interact with it and reload the save. I made like a lot of money doing that, even ordered some guns from colonel petrenko. It made the mod unironically fun for a while, since the only source of income other than that is selling pistol rounds n mags and buggy fetch quests.
+1 for FOTOGRAF recomendation. Shame that there is also some voicelines for the actor that I doubt anyone translated to English. Mostly jokes or actor's mental notes, like when he meets every mutant for the first time. Especially love the chimera's one, still remember it by heart even after 8+ years (non-plot spoiler below): "Holy mother of all things saint. What kind of monster is this? I have seen some things here already, but the one that looks that much like my ex-mother-in-law? I will call it 'chimera'."

DO NOT TRY NLC-7. IT IS DESIGNED FOR YOU TO GUESS THAT YOU NEED lots of artifacts tailored to survive certain characteristics, without prior warnings to progress in the story.
@@CheekiBreekiTv Yes. I quit it after I realized after that moment when you automatically die (was newest version at the time). You are literally teleported into some trap location and you can’t get out without using super high powered artifacts with certain characteristics that NOBODY EVEN MENTIONED. You are expected to replay. It is also completely stupid after first quest. Only dealing with mutants and anomalies, very hard yes. It’s about pre learning the routes where mutants are cheap to deal with or don’t spawn. Repeated for 40 hours same routes almost no people interactions, boring.
@@SpecShadow You simply cannot guess what’s it’s going to throw at you, it’s impossible to defeat bloodsucker in a straight ambush without having cover nearby even with grenade launcher. There’s no way to be prepared with certain cool effect artifact without reading the guide or something. Some effects are also insane, like locations have hunger depletion that is unpredictable.
Just started it again over the weekend, having kinda fun with it, it's super slow though. One day is like 3 or 4 days in Anomaly. Just found out this game has third person animation for using consumables! 😀
Reminds me of Stalker Dead Air where one almost never makes it past the rail line bridge to the other side due to the military or mercenaries guarding it. And radiation is the other danger which is unavoidable and medicines are rare and expensive.
If you have a friend that you wanna play STALKER with, check out Shadow Of Coop mod... I played it with my friend and it was awesome, but its still in development and as of now it has 4 maps. I think its gonna be a great mod when its finished👍
I have such fond memories of Lost Alpha. Whether it was a good game to other people doesn't matter to me. I loved Lost Alpha. Everything about it. From the design, the concept, what they were going for etc. This mod is nice, but I was all about the gun design & feeling of "progress". Lost Alpha played like ShoC. That's why it was so good. But it was bigger, more fleshed out. The story was choppy, but it was cogent, felt neat, & the labs were great. Kept me thought provoked & lost in wonder, which is imo the essence of what makes good art. Makes you feel something.
If u take armor ,1 or 2 slots will be open from 10 slots (below f1 f2 f3 f4),there u have to keep bullets and so reload could occur,it took me a while too..😅😅
Reloads and some other mechanics seem to be the same as in the Dead Air Mod. Suits give you quick access pouches, for things like boxes of Shotgun shells. Also the suffering is reminiscent...
You should try opening the MCM and adjusting the mods. I did it with GAMMA for certain aspects of the game. I'm sure you'd be able to increase backpack volume or even the duration of the animation. May make the game more fun.
@@macrofurra wow, without cheating? My new character made it into the 3rd day now, Started in Cordon, somehow got past military no problem, visited Swamps, yes through southern exit, Dark Valley, Swamps again, spend a day there trying to kill 2 dudes (they had like 10 friends) for George then spoke to Doc. Now want to get to Rostok but can't get through garbage due to dozens of bandits. There is no way to get by unnoticed, the map is to narrow and they have eagle eye vision and laser accuracy even in this thick fog I cant even see through and they have a base there too. Guess I'm going to have kyte them back to Hunters shop or the start where 3 Loners are camping. Or wait till its pitch black dark? That will probably take a full ingame day, luckily I got many liters of water on me and some bandages and 2 medkits lol, oh the joy. So far I killed most mutants with an axe and found out they have trouble with you hiding in bushes, so that's nice. Don't get me started about the 2 waves of bloodsuckers at the pump station :(
@@macrofurra I would call that cheating hehe but play as you want of course. I'm seriously considering spawning in a reliable AK myself :) Or spawning in some stuff and tools just to experiment with and learn from cus right now I'm clueless about crafting and recepies, (yes I know technician has some pointers. Just playing the game doesn't teach me enough. 95% of disassembling balaclavas fail and I only know how to craft makeshift bandage and sausage sandwich lol. You have any tips for me getting through Garbage? And please don't say to go through other maps or try a day later, who knows the passage might be blocked by anomalies for days by then. Happy happy joy joy!
There's a versión of area that's is most complete, but the hardest of the mods is to much to me. I like play gamma, this is to much Slavic experience for me
I could deal with ANY challenge... but all items getting irradiated? NOPE Still sitting on my SSD waiitng for more attempts. Still want to give it a chance. That icon (looks like box) is trying to tell you that you're out of free space. Because your character have both carry weight limit AND space limit (litrage). If you carry too much the former (weight) will slow you down while later (space) it will randomly drop items from your inventory... mostly instantly, but sometimes they drop while traveling around the Zone. You don't want to be nasty surprised and feel like you forgot something. Ammo works like in Lost Alpha - need to be put in the slot first before you can load new ammo. But you need armor for that - even destroyed leather jacket is enough.
@@grumpy8835 I know, but it's still worth mentioning this feature because how nasty it is if you want to play with default settings like some people prefer...
@@SpecShadow It becomes easier once you get companions as they aren't effected by this system it's cheating I know but their irradiation system is not perfect and can break sometimes randomly irradiating everything even when it's not raining or in radiation at all.
Ooooh NLC7 is on that list, so fucking based. You should chek out Return to The Zone as well if you have the time, it's made by the guy who made Goldsphere and it's twice as long!
Hm, but.. I wonder - why don't just check on the web how to use detector instead of running blindly and eventually giving up this mission? Or better in general reading some introductory Readme to know just the most basic mechanics? I'd say it's rather futile to trial-an-error every single action..
@@CantankerousDave Yeah it was in stalker lost alpha and probably other mods you need basic armour in this mod or you can't use mag fed weapons very well I think you can reload the shotgun without armour but I could be wrong.
gonna be honest. i found a document of russian text about AREA from long ago saved on my old pc and i have no idea how it got there. very ironic you make a video about it.
Come on, Cheeki, you play the game as if you never played Anomaly! I tried the game yesterday, and I got to the Rookie Village without any problem (except for a crash the very first time I tried to loot the chest near the checkpoint). Today I found the artifact for Fanatic without a problem (it was under the tree). Are you sure you updated the game correctly? Otherwise, I really like its features, except for the crashing, that happens way too often! I noticed you couldn't add the ammo to your loadout, probably because you didn't buy an armor, that's why you had to reload the shotgun from your inventory. As a veteran you should know what a starter loadout should be!!! The cheapest leather jacket, the cheapest rusty sawn-off shotgun, some ammo, water, food, bandage, medkit, respirator, backpack, that's it. Nothing fancy expensive thing you cannot afford yet! And the mutants are very weak and slow compared to the Dangerous Mutants v3 mod, at the same time, ammo is more rare, so it seems to be balanced (after 2 days of playing).
I tried this mod multiple times, just too many bullshit which is a shame because it has good ideas too. For me, the main problem is just the overall lack of allied NPCs (Cordon Village for me was literally a ghost town), very powerful mutants (I once led boars to the Rookie Village and everyone got killed, couldn't even kill a single one), not enough tasks and rewards to progress properly. I mean, I started the Fanatic "tutorial" quest chain and he got killed by the Boars in one hit lol. I also tried attacking the bandits in ATP with him and again, he died in one hit. I really want to like this mod but stuff like this puts me off. I have no idea how you managed to do the quest with Wild boars with Fanatic, they just killed him in one hit for me, although this was in older versions. I am actually playing NLC 7 Hard Edition and there is less bullshit in NLC than in AREA lol. Please do NLC 7 but put some extra care and love in that video, watch and read some guides or videos (NLC HE from ModDb includes some guides in the files). It's an amazing mod though I personally would change or outright remove some unnecessary things (zombie's special attack that increases your hunger is a good example of unnecesary bullshit)
Walking behind other Stalkers collecting their spend round casings is peak loot goblin.
In the pursuit of Immersion we've lost fun
Few basic tips for people who want to play this mod:
-To reload your gun you need to have to the ammo, clip or magazine equiped on your belt, othervise you wont be able to reload.
(Just drag your knife on the can in your inventory)
-You can craft some usefull items in your inventory, for example by putting bread and sausage together you can create sausage sandwich that fils you much more. (To craft it just drag the items on top of each other in your inventory)
-By putting any fabric and a bottle of vodka together you can make makeshift bandage.
(If you can get one that has full plastic face because the ones that have only eyeholes obscure vision a lot, though I believe this can be turned of in the settings
I hope some of these tips will be usefull to you. If you have your own tips for this mod please drop them bellow I imagine there is still a lot I dont know yet :).
woah you're the GOAT
Tip for playing this mod: turn off item irradiation, thank god they enabled that.
I'll...just stick to Gamma 😂
extra tips:
- if you found some broken radio, walkie talkie, other electronic stuff: unload the batteries.
Vodka has better uses like crafting makeshift bandages, using the bottles as water container and irradiation antidote (drag potassium permagranate and vodka together, you can remove irradiated status on items with this antidote)
- There are some items that you cannot clean from irradiation status like bread, opened food cans, sausage, and the crow drink. So if they are already irradiated, just throw them away, they are beyond saving.
- The most common ammo are 5.45, 12x70, and the 9mms so get guns that uses those. What I'm trying to say is anything other than those calibers are hard to get.
- Army Warehouses is basically a free loot kingdom with a risk (this is why Duty, Freedom, Mercs and maybe Monoliths are the best factions in this mod)
- Do not eat mutant meat. Cooked or not. They are better to be sold to barman which can get you a few money. Same can be said to any kind of mushroom (yes there are mushrooms in this mod)
- Speaking of mushrooms, they are just like irl they grow in dark places like under a tree or next to a boulder. The Amanitas are free cash :)
- Bolt packs are quite useless since you can simply pick up bullet casings after a firefight and use them as same as bolts.
- Some perks aren't very useful. For example the Radio Lover perk, the process of calming yourself down after a psy attack with radio music is very slow.
- Speaking of calming yourself after a psy attack, smoking a cig or two can calm you down (just like irl)
- You can actually craft the Duplet shotgun from the metro series. I forgot the recipe but i think its heavy weapon scraps, clean double barrel, single mode trigger part and shotgun weapon scraps (ill edit this comment if i found the recipe again)
- Swiss army knife is cool but they are just worse knives.
(But the cheaper solution is simply turn off item irradiation lolol)
- Once you accept a quest, there is a timer for it like a day or two.
- If you accept Fanatics training in cordon, never finish the first training so that you can get a free artifact and hunting knife :))))
- Make use of bugs to your advantage. I had a bug one time where a clear sky guy died to a helicopter and all of his items were in 100% condition. I used his gear until i finally gave up on that save.

@1:15:45 you forgot to say:"You dumb dumb" 😁
I remember playing AREA about 3 years ago and I was like "Why are we still here? Just to suffer?"
Kind of the point of life too
@IrrationalDelusion If suffering is the "point" of life, there's a problem. It's like saying we life with our main goal being wanting to suffer lol.
It's a consequence of life, it's to be expected, not sought-after.
@@gabriellevesque2185 OK Einstein
I remember trying it out and being really confused, then finding a mod ON MODDB, that was called "Wh*te P*wer" and it was, of course, a winter texture pack.
It had beautiful screenshots tho. I never returned.
Every night i can feel my leg,and my arm, even my fingers
@@Protaantaoh boy you're in for a treat
My longest life in this mod was like 5 days, I gave up on the character cus I didn't have any water and could not leave the Cordon due to a message saying the road was blocked by anomalies, try again after Emission.
The other exits were available to buy from Sid in exchange for a Jellyfish but I didn't have money or a detector.
What is the obsession with stalker modders and creating the most disgusting inventory management and movement system possible with a dash of motion sickness thrown in?
The fact they're being built on an almost 20 year old game engine. You can only do so much.
(He clearly hasn't played NLC7)
hey! player who got to the AREA endgame here i can give you this advice about the mod:
1: time missions are fake. 1 week can pass and you will still not fail the mission, you will still get money but not rep
2: you were leaving the army checkpoint by the wrong side, you are supposed to go to the one on the right with that anomaly, you can avoid it just go to the opposite side of the tree
3: dont play this mod as youre average mod, play kinda fast paced avoid open spaces combat and try to camp inside a house or somewhere where they cant flank you from more than 1 place
4: use stashes as your own stashes since the weight system in this mod is very tough
5: boxes have some good loot but i wouldnt suggest you to waste your time breaking them with an axe since they take a lot of hits, use a grenade instead (they are very common and most npcs have it
6: PRESS F5 A LOT (also turn off irradeated items since its a poorly made feature and its tedious for no reason at all)
7: if you dont want to suffer a lot try using snipers
8: radiation DOES NOT EXIST IN THIS MOD SO DONT WASTE YOUR STARTING MONEY IN VODKA OR A MASK
9: most npcs that die have clothes with pockets wich means you can store ammo there to reload without needing to open the inventory (just pressing R)
10: dont put mutant skin on your pockets like you would do normally, they offer little protection and take a lot of space and kilograms from you so its not worth it
gas mask in the beginning is useful for going into the water in the swamps, going into anomalies for certain stashes
@@user-03-gsa3 radiation doesnt exist in this mod.. only thing it has is irradeated items but its poorly coded
@@user-03-gsa3 this is not TRUE!
@@macrofurradamn.. i was only watching walkthroughs so i didnt know theres actually no radiation. but it should still protect against item iradiation

@@rmcgowa1987 ofc it itsnt that difficult but Misery was really the first of its kind with the whole focus on ''realism'' and most people were not used to it and played the game similar to the base game which obviously wasnt working.

oh god that old school loadout selection without directly seeing images. When I started out playing this was a nightmare cause I didnt know what I needed nor what most things are
I can totally relate to the restart aspect. Love it. I was very entertained, especially after reading the extensive hints in one of the comments.
Now you gotta play NLC

it is pain and pain till the end
We love your pain, good content as usual!
Aren't you french btw? Eating pain for breakfast and all.
I was so frustrated seeing him struggle to figure out how to reload his gun for an hour lol
Cheeki's painful laugh speaks to my soul
Oh man, the way those dogs jump is exactly like they do in Radiophobia 3

I have seen lost alpha it seems very janky from what I have seen one of the best level designs though.
Yeah I totally loved Lost Alpha. (I played DC 1.4007 with LB tweaks + some other mods)
@@ahobacha Yeah I saw snippets of a play through of it the map is absolutely huge they probably should have made it more accessible to vehicles to be honest. The mechanics in this mod is different than any other mod, also it's the hardest survival mod amongst all the other mods, the first mutants and enemies that spawned was the heavy hitting ones and all I had with me was a broken AK.

at about 01:01:00 it is inside the bubble anomaly(or whatever the name is) and if u listen u hear the sound like something is in there but the game doesn't show it.(it happens with other anomalies 2) generally if I don't have the scientific detector, I will never go artifact hunting so I don't know about this detector, but if the same happens I make quick save then quick load. if the problem is with anomaly (or game) the artifact will jump out
can you upload the MoD chart somewhere? Im too lazy to look for mods myself haha xD

And heres me playing Anomaly with frequent uses of the debug menu and unlimited ammo :) Some just like to suffer hard :)

DO NOT TRY NLC-7. IT IS DESIGNED FOR YOU TO GUESS THAT YOU NEED lots of artifacts tailored to survive certain characteristics, without prior warnings to progress in the story.
NLC is amazing
but yeah - a lot of hidden, unexplained stuff is dealbreaking. Unless you find some good, detailed guides then good luck with the game
@@SpecShadow It treats you as shitslave without any fair engagements. Only first quest on bandit camp is very good.
Eh I heard a lot of good things about NLC-7! Is it that bad?

I could deal with ANY challenge... but all items getting irradiated? NOPE
Still sitting on my SSD waiitng for more attempts.
U can disable the items radiation and the ambient radion in the game settings.

Well you didn't die in the first 30 seconds like you were afraid. It was more like 90 lol.
And the mutants are very weak and slow compared to the Dangerous Mutants v3 mod, at the same time, ammo is more rare, so it seems to be balanced (after 2 days of playing).

stupidly pseudorealistic misery dung. Thank you for the review, good to dodge this one. Invictus is more fun.
What's the best starting loadout for this?
Have you played/tried anomaly dark signal?
