- Things are getting serious in our GAMMA ironman playthrough! Today we're attempting to disable the Miracle Machine, pretty much the "boss fight" that marks the end of the early game / hobo stage. I think we're ready, things should go fine, right?

Keep up the invictus runs, we love them. Don't forget to keep us up to date with your weapon loadouts, planned upgrades, stuff you need to repair. It's all part of the stalker experience. One thing that brings stalkers together is their shared trauma and experiences in the zone.

Kinda hurt to see you selling all artifacts before making some for yourself (like the bulletproof ones or for anomalies). The former really helps with monolit and sin enemies...

Im always amazed at the AI in old games when the AI in new games they get stuck on invisible objects or stand still in one spot drooling on themselves when you need them most.

The constant “Jesus Chriiiist”s make me picture South Park’s Mr. Slave wandering the Zone. (Anyone else tense up when he keeps walking while playing around in his inventory screen? That’s suicidal, dude.)
I'm in no way brave enough for invictus, but on my GAMMA install I added the mod that lets artifacts and campfires heal limbs as well as your main health. Right now I'm spending more time by campfires then I did in my first GAMMA playthrough since I don't have any good artifacts yet. Actually makes campfires feel useful to me and saves on healing items.

Still dunno if is better than Ks-23 or saiga or the carbinier but is a solid shotgun
Btw you're sniper rifle scope is clearly off-center..not even line up with the barrel ..breaking immersion.

I really want to know what mods you're running that are different to mine. How do you get the numbers on your buff icons? How do you get what I'm assuming are the coloured dots on your kit that represent the health of each part? Any chance of a vid about your gamma setup somepoint soon?
I remember how woefully underprepared my first miracle machine run was.. uncalibrated psy-helm, pp19, m1911 with hp rounds.. I almost didn't make it to the bloot suckers

Yeah that's what I say in the vid that actually this part is the riskiest imo because of the "randomness" of it.
Got lucky my companion actually cleaned up the place and it wasnt too crowded, if that wasn't the case phantoms are a real issue if you don't have good psy protection

Consider giving your companion the HOWA loaded with AP when you can repair it.
Not sure if you know this but the hanging moss will only damage you if you run through it. If you walk through it it wont do anything to you

Great use of mines
SCAR H is my weapon of choice. Sure, it has heavy recoil and expensive ammo, but it more than makes up for it with damage and accuracy. And because you are not using a magazines mod you could be using the grenade launcher too! I have bugs :(
My Invictus ended right there, in the miracle machine...
One death at the start, it was a mutant fest... my bad there.
The other one was total BS, in the tunnel at the end, uncrossable anomalies right in the middle of the path, i was trapped, couldn't even back out... >:(

A workbench with all artifacts could kill you moments after you open the workshop because all of the items move into your inventory. You'll simply die from so much radiation.
That's a nice suprise also :'D It's good to keep 'em in a box nearby.
I've heard you comment on the Scar being a dangerous artifact multiple times, but will it still cause crazy things if your psy health doesn't go down? I use it in conjunction with a Signet at campfires, and it's one of the fastest healing methods I've found. My psy health never drops thanks to the Signet, but I think my character yelled something once.
I'm not sure how often you check comments on older videos, but I would totally watch if you uploaded runs included the "grindy" stuff as well. I'm sure many others would as well. You might consider some mostly unedited footage to upload. Can't hurt right?
how do you use pretty pistols pack in rostok? i get a crash related to the waltherp99 each time i go there
Is that a mod that allows you to have a minimap in lower right screen? Or is it exclusively for gamma only?

IDK if u know but u can give companion a weapon and he does not need ammo for it. If u give him some OP shit like those 12.5mm guns he will do a pretty nice mess with enemy :D

playing GAMMA for a whole year now and never thought about putting a firearm in the melee slot.... my stalker life was a lie.
I'm just now starting to realize that perhaps doing a rags to riches run of the game for the first several hours with only a knife, no equipment, or food on survival//hard might not have been the wisest choice for a beginner.
Repit... ^^ there are some, many, many really gorgeous things in GAMMA (the weather effects are amazing ...but not the rain while it's falling), but I don't like the models in the NPCs in it at all (in the mod I use in Anomaly - I think 'Anomaly Models hd addons' - they are very, very more beautiful) as well as many building surfaces. I'm trying it at the same time as my personally modded Anomaly, but I always go back to the latter, if only because it's a little bit less frustrating ^^

@ 10:50 The companion picked up what you dropped. not sure its a looting bug. Noticed while playing today if you drop stuff near a companion they will pick up the weapons, nothing else though it seems. (You dropped @ 5:30 )
I asked it a few videos back but you might not check the comments on older ones. What mod/config are you using that changes the font and makes things actually readable?
I'm not sure actually, it's pretty much all default settings for GAMMA, I did not change anything.
If you're question is how to get the same UI in Anomaly for example I'd ask on the discord as I don't think it's a single mod that does that

Edit: Got help from Gamma discord. Apparently tactical fonts mod crapped out during my installation so I ended up with default fonts, not the ones Gamma was intended to run. Reinstalling the mod helped. Kudos to Gamma support discord, super quick resolution
I have a question for anyone who knows, I have noticed that my companions hp bar is always smaller than when I watch videos like this, do these companions actually have more health or is it some UI option?
Wanna ask something what's the least requirements to have 60fps high graphics in gamma stalker consistently?

Was it this run where you gave your only medical crafting kit away? Because I think you wouldn't have money issues at all if you were crafting meds rather than buying them. Buying the ingredients is so much cheaper than buying the end product
I also believe enabling mag redux would make Ironman more enjoyable since you're less reliant on those 100k rouble upgrade kits to get extended mags for your guns. Feels way less grindy

I lost my invictus run to then sim guy with the rpg in the generators I wish you the best of luck make sure to bring a sniper. I had an nosrog with two full empty and it still 1 shot me.
Also if you really want to save money use a scar to heal just use a quick release to dump your bag then put your grenades away. Pull out your pda and let it heal you your character won’t throw grenades or randomly spray his gun and saves roughly $2500 each time

Does anyone know what causes my Desert Eagle Dhampyr to disappear from the knife slot every once in a while, if I notice it late, it's damn annoying to go back load every save and see at which point you still had it... I dunno if this happens with other guns too, haven't tested yet, but it's damn annoying. What causes knife slot items, other than knife, to disappear?
I had this happen twice with my backpack actually in previous runs, it's rare and pretty random so haven't identified yet what causes it, but yeah very annoying especially when you don't realize immediately
Oh man, that sounds even more annoying... But a backpack is something you might notice semi-fast due to carry weight...

Yeah, i also played as Duty, and i find aspect with ammo a bit confusing. Because as dutyer i can find a lot of western weapons, but can buy ammo only for eastern weapons. So finding a good weapon is a pain.
It has always kinda been like that, as nato factions are mostly enemies with warsaw factions, other than clear sky and nerds.
You can always buy eastern ammo, dissasemble it and craft western one
Either you go to swamps to buy ammo from clear sky or use gunsmithing tools
Your only real shot at getting western ammunition is buying from Clear Sky, and they’re all the way down in the Great Swamps…
Why are you looting gun parts and suit parts that are below 50/60%? Am I missing something :P?
What are your mutant and stalker population set too? I have 1 with squads size oh 1 with range of 1… feelsike a lot on r the map for me personally
Where do you find this setting? It seems like the base anomaly gets overriden...
I never touch chose as the gameplay & performances are somewhat balances around these values, so I always leave the default settings in GAMMA (this playthrough was on 0.9.1 hotfix 7 through 10), base values were .25 for mutants and 1 for Stalker I think, not sure about the ZCP ones tho

ZCP has 0.45 for mutants and 0.55 for stalkers. I play with 0.25 for mutants and it makes it so mutants don't really spawn during the day, only at night, which feels more immersive.
@@bope5706 ZCP, which you can find the settings for in the MCM, overwrites the mutant and stalker population config in the "standard" settings
