Loved being in your game where the first bullet shot took your pilot right after you talked about defensive flying. That sums up life
Hahahahaha I remember this! Remember everyone, not everything in the video is always how it goes 😂😂😂
The guide we waited for is finally here
Here it is! :)
I have high hopes for this channel. You have a good thing going, inspired me to reinstall and try to reach top tier again. Keep it up!
Thank you! Goodluck in your grinds :)
Great guide! Don't know why you don't have more subs.
Thank you very, very much! Just started putting a lot of effort into my videos, that could be the reason :)
probably one of the most important parts of combat in war thunder, very eccelent video
thank you, brother halo
You can also Nae Nae if you somehow mess up your engagement, with the F4U you can use your gear as airbrake to make the enemy overshoot and reverse them.
Nice to see u here mustard :) sorry I didn’t put this in the video! I’ll make one on it soon hahaha
That’s what I do everytime😂
pog vid
Thanks devil! Stream booster 💚
ok now I have someone to blame when Daddy_Beijing shoots me down in his Chinese P-51
LOL this made me cackle irl. too funny.
Thank you for making this video!
Thanks for watching!
Learning how to visually identify targets is probably the most important point not mentioned. As a German FW and US Corsair enjoyer, knowing whether an enemy is a turn fighter is MASSIVE. Being able to spot a Swedish A21 and recognize that it's a turn fighter is easy, but seeing whether a standard chassis plane is a turn fighter or not is HARD at distance. I'm mainly a Ground RB enjoyer so this is where this knowledge is important. All your battles will be low altitude, you'll have to worry about AA, pick ground targets for CAS and avoid and target enemy planes. BF109's aren't rare in GRB but they are rarely used correctly, similar to P51s and spitfire. Chances are you aren't winning a fight against a yak, but you can roast a spitfire, p51, or bf109 even if they have the advantage IF you know what they are ahead of time. For this example I'll be flying a FW190 D series, fast, nimble, but not a turn fighter. If a BF109 slots in behind me I know from BF109 experience that they SUCKKKK at rolling into a turn, so while I'm not a turn fighter I can engage in a turn fight by forcing them to roll and lose all their energy, all I have to do to maintain superiority at that point is pitch down and gain speed for a quick turn and I'd be on their tail. If a spitfire turns in on me, chances are they're already shooting from 4km out because .50s are gross. In the off chance I'm not already a ball of fire, I'm keeping his guns off me as best as I can, he turns better than me IF HE USES FLAPS. Most "pilots" don't use their flaps, so turning with my takeoff flaps out gives me an advantage or makes me even in the turn, but now I have no energy so sadly I have to pitch down and roll to avoid being hit by .50 tracers. Now I play the energy game, I'll have more going UP so with my flaps I can force him to stall while I force a turn, I have 15% of my energy and he has 0%, I can do a loop and kill while he tries to gain speed. As for spitfire, their whole shtick is turning, and they're FAST too, you want them to overshoot, without overshooting you, they'll kill you 100% of the time. If he's slotted in on me, the only think I can do is engine 20% and flaps into a tight spiral and hope like shit I can live through the burst he'll let off before peeling away, you've gotta hope you can land a burst in a head on or while he's in the turn. Spitfire are the hardest to fight. Yaks you just crash and deny a kill lol, there's no fighting a yak in a FW other than head on.
Very good point; I kinda assumed players would already understand target identification, but definitely could have been mentioned in the knowing your plane part! Ty for your comment, but please don't crash or j out just because you have no chance in a dogfight :( u never know till it's over!
@@nimbosoup It depends on the game mode if I crash/J. Ground RB is a definite "deny the kill" game mode. It can get real sweaty, but the point is to win! If you deny them the spawn points from the kill it might knock them out completely if they get shot down. It's scummy, but people do far worse in ground RB. I've been known for a little blue on blue if I see a plane in a flat spin or definitely going to burn down. I'd rather pay repair cost for the homies and deny the kill/spawn points for a hopeful win. But yeah, knowing your enemy is crucial. My buddy with five mire years on the game than me just unlocked the Do335 and went head on with a P47 from pretty far. I told him it was a losing fight and he said, "it's just a p47, I got this". He didn't know how large of a target the DO is and how easily she burns, especially when the enemy has 8x .50 cals running tracers 💥👍
@@nimbosoup If you'd like to get into a little bit of ground RB let me know!
@@ZeFatController Will do! I'm working on improving in it :)
Im probably still gonna get destroyed if i even glance at dogfighting but awsome guide
😂😂Understandable, it can be tricky. My advice: besides from keeping your head on a swivel, always keep in mind your opponents state of energy. This will help you determine whether or not they might be able to get guns on you, and will therefore help you stay out of their guns! Thank you for the kind words :)
@@nimbosoup 👍
"You're in a p 47 and can't match up to spitfires" was that a reference to that 2v2 we had?
No 👀
Since every guide says “know your plane” I wish gaijin would tell you what your plane is good at. Someone who doesn’t know much about planes wouldn’t know what say a corsair would be good st
Should have mentioned how to actually get into a reversal without exploding
? might go back into the avoiding peoples shots point that I talked about, other than that, not too sure what you mean lol!
Didn't fish suggest this to you?
I had the idea brewing in my head already, but yes :)
No way, the point of defensive flying is to keep yourself alive?
I cough a fish
In my soup
I don't think any advice will make the J22-A or J22-B worth flying ever
