True, it didn't even show some of the key moments, such as Latifi and Grosjean crashing into eachother, sending both spinning off, and the moment where Giovinazzi spun and then Verstappen spun at the same corner after him and THEN Albon almost spun as well!

But that does not stop him from achieving 9 podiums racing for a midfield team all his career! (Well except when he was in McLaren, but he was fairly young and inexperienced then)

Shows that Ferrari are not running equal cars. Same as Red Bull. With rain means the cars are more equal, you can see how Vettel and Albon are so much closer to their team-mates.

I honestly still dont know what the right start was. They needed him to come out in front of vettel when he pit, but he didn't because they ate up so much time. In other words he got undercut by vettel and should have pit right when he did.

yes if he would have stayed out then the slicky wet tyres would have come to life like with the other drivers because the track was drying - wrong call from the team simply. you see perezz did it.

Vettel is heavily underrated for wet races. Germany 2019 and Today's race are examples that can drive in wet too

Rocky his old engineer said in one interview that the team was behind Seb until the last race and that year he never managed to lead the championship.
Amazing weekend in Istanbul! Turkey deserves that they should be in the F1 Calendar one way or another.

After the half way point, nothing major happened tbh. That's why I think Germany 2019 was better than this.

To be fair I'm pretty sure he only got that close because there was almost no way to overtake (which was partly due to the lack of DRS (although the wet probably played a bigger part))

Hamilton has once again proved why he is one of the GOATs. Starting 6th and then leading by 20s on a track where every other driver was struggling and spinning, he took control. Fantastic race and fantastic performance by LH.

C'mon man. You can't compare a race in which there wasn't a single top team in the podium to another Lewis Hamilton win. Yes, the race was thrilling. But the fact that it had rain and a Seb podium doesn't automatically mean it's better. Monza was still the better race overall.

This race is one for the history books, so glad I could see such a historical F1 moment live. Definitely worth getting up at 5:00 AM to watch it. This is something I will never forget, such a fantastic race. This is a race to add to Lewis’ seemingly endless resumé

I’ve been watching F1 since 2010. This might have been the best race I’ve ever seen.
A “lightning in a bottle” race.
In this wet race, luck and drama didn’t play a factor. It was all skill. The top 5 finishers produced by far the best performances.
There were no big crashes, no unfair retirements, no incidents that caused penalties and no safety car.
A lot of action throughout the field and incredibly tense from start to finish.
Great podium too. Hamilton was so far behind but he still won the race by over half-a-minute to clinch his 7th world title, proving why he’s the best. Very fitting ending. Perez drove brilliantly to finally climb on the podium this year. Vettel during his worst season of his career drove flawlessly to finish 3rd.
Remember this race, we might never watch another one like it.

It was a thriller but not my personal favourite of this season. Austria was far more dramatic and Monza was far more emotional, however this was thrilling.

@@GloomGaiGar Track itself gave great races almost always, regardless of the surface. Check 2010 and 2011.
@TheBaconHunter aspahlt wasnt a massive problem in raceday tho it still was slippery. The track is owned by car rental company and between the sessions and night there were megans lapping around the circuit. It was more about the wet conditions and that wet conditions meeting with a slippier asphalt. Also the track layout provides close racing in sector one a challange for drivers and tire managment in sector 2 and overtake spots in sector 3

This race showed a few things. Verstappen and Leclerc still make some silly errors due to frustration and impatience. Vettel is still a great driver. Perez and Hamilton are incredible at tyre management. and Hamilton is so calm under pressure and he just let the race come to him on a weekend that the Mercedes looked weak
