This isn’t as simple as: -INFP: Disconnected. -ISFP: Present. It’s a much more complicated topic

i guess what he’s saying is infp have ne as their second function and isfp have ni as their third. dominant and auxiliary functions are usually considered more dominant than the tertiary and inferior functions when typing someone. so even though isfp use tertiary ni, it is not gonna be as present as their auxiliary se

I’m ISFP and growing up, I was more comfortable being in my tertiary function of Ni than SE. My introverted attitude was more acceptable by the adults raising me so I was chill with my SE. Of course I was always drawing, playing an instrument, singing or dancing, but being in the moment took a back seat to my analytical side.
I am always in my head and my kids and others have said that they will catch me in a blank stare often. They say that I scare them whenever I am driving while that happens. They don’t need to worry because my SE makes me aware enough of my surroundings for safety even while I am in my head. When I am in my head, I am thinking about the what if’s as well as what is.
There are many ISFPs who have developed themselves enough that they can come across as an intuitive. Some typologists thought that I could be an INTJ or ENFJ. They also thought that I could be an ESFP. After much effort, I was finally correctly typed as an ISFP. It resonated with me.
There is a certain SE presence that ISFPs naturally have which gives the clue of an SE second function.
Lately my online results say INFP or ISFJ as if I am a Si/ Ne user. It’s kind of crazy.I’m thinking that being a 5th/ 6th grade school teacher has affected the way I am testing.
      Any thoughts?

@@shawncaruthers4144 I'm an INFP but I relate to this. I've been wondering if Ive been mistyping myself over and over again (which is a very infp thing to do lol) since my Se isn't that weak. I don't always know how to react to the present moment, but I'm still taking note of what's going on around me even when I'm deep in my head. I think some of that comes from anxiety and the hypervigilance I had to have growing up, since no one in my house had any boundaries, and I've been made painfully aware of the dangers that lurk around on this Earth. So I'm always keeping an eye out for Salenerrr 👀 Though it is pretty clear to me that my Si is a lot stronger. I'm always making decisions and connections based on the past and getting annoyed with friends for not reading back through their messages to remind themselves of what I've said when it's clearly written out for them to go back on at. 👏 any. 👏 time. 👏👏👏 😤 lol

It’s important to note that while ISFPs are less likely to be unfocused daydreamers, it does still happen - but usually as a coping mechanism when we’re facing stress. Ni acts as a bit of an escape-world, in which we’re likely to use regressive tactics like returning to a childhood hobby or interest to make the world feel less dangerous. I for one love coming back to Harry Potter and Disney movies. Movies, not books. INFPs tend to prefer books, I’ve noticed. As an ISFP, I prefer seeing and hearing the characters in a tangible form.
ISFPs are also more likely to “dress to impress”, where that Se likes to be a little show-offy. Having said that, we’re not all drawn to glitz and glamour, in fact many of us were flower-crown wearers in high school - if you saw a girl who was never without glittery eyeshadow and a butterfly hair clip, she was probably an ISFP (aka me). The shy boy who liked to dress like a member of the Peaky Blinders or wear his favourite band or game merch was likely ISFP too. However, many ISFPs follow trends set by their ESFP friends or role models, but they can be quite choosy in which they actually wear themselves. I grew up loving Helena Bonham Carter but I didn’t personally feel her “hobo” look was for me. I did however love taking inspiration from her bohemian glam red carpet style, such as intricate jewellery and poofy dresses paired with comfy Dr Martens and messy hair. It’s a visual experience, a spectacle. Many ISFPs also choose to dye their hair or get tattoos and piercings for this same reason. Other ISFPs could think of nothing worse. That part comes down to taste.
INFPs would rather dress more “normal” because they often believe their thoughts are strange enough as it is, so they are reluctant to push people further away with eclectic style choices. The furthest they tend to go is wearing a bit of merch from shows or movies they like, but even then it’s uncommon for them. Either they prefer to blend in, or else they just don’t care as much as ISFPs do about visual presentation. In many ways INFPs actually like to blend in visually and be much more subtle in their existence, but in conversation they are a lot more “out there”.
ISFPs are more likely to say that they enjoy having music on in the background while working as it helps get through the grind. ISFPs May also claim that they cannot produce visual art without a good playlist, or else they cannot produce good music without a visual aesthetic to work from first. INFPs rarely have that problem and are able to come up with worlds, sounds and artwork that is entirely their own. INFPs may find that listening to music distracts them from the task at hand, instead preferring to listen to music after work, when they have time to freely daydream.
ISFP and INFP working together are a creative dream team. INFP gives the descriptions and instructions while ISFP creates the sensory masterpiece. Similarly, ISFP provides the playlist and inspiration while the INFP writes a 1,000-page novel. Neither could ask for a better colleague. It may be advised not to marry each other unless you’re both very mature though, or else your apartment is likely to quickly fill up with unpaid bills, dirty dishes and far too many cats.

I am the older of four sisters; I am an INFP (an idealist, very imaginative & a writer), my second sister is an ISFP (an artist, very good at working with her hands, with colors & decoration, also very good with children & animals), the third is an ISFJ (family is at the top of her list, responsible, conservative and a lawyer), and the youngest one is an ESFP (a charming party girl who works in public relations). As an ISFP with adhd before getting diagnosed i was always mistaken for an infp like i’m in my head dreamy messy and zone out when overstimulated. It’s also the fact that i’m an artist and prefer to paint and sing or draw and want to become a designer and i crave a lot of freedom and apparently being an artist to my family means being unrealistic impractical and unaware of the real world(and i thought i’m intuitive). Like i got infp and INFJ friends and there’s a huge difference in being a Ne user and having adhd. Like their prefered conversation is science or books i’d much rather talk about fashion or what’s going on in our lives and pop culture. And we both messy af but in my case when it gets too much i kind of explode and when we roommates if i ain’t yelling at her to tide up she never does it

I was just thinking about this - how the MBTI is _for_ neurotypicals made _by_ neurotypicals.
I’m ISFP too, but I’m not diagnosed, though I find myself relating to a lot of ADHD posts on Instagram and Pinterest and to some of the diagnosed people in the comment section.
I know that’s not confirmation or anything, but I also don’t think I _could_ get diagnosed.
*A diagnosis of ADHD is determined by the clinician based on the number and severity of symptoms, the duration of symptoms and the degree to which these symptoms cause impairment in various areas of life, such as home, school or work; with friends or relatives; or in other activities.* - chadd.org/for-adults/diagnosis-of-adhd-in-adults/
The “areas of life” is where the problem is.
I’m severely physically disabled (with a disease called Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva), so, 24/7, all day everyday, I’m indoors and in my own little world. The only thing I can do is be on my phone, it’s where my life really is. And it’s the only place I can get stimulation. If I’m not sleeping or eating, I’m on my phone.
I don’t have IRL friends. I don’t work. My whole family works; and when they’re home, I don’t really have need of them unless I’m hungry or thirsty or need something done. They have their own lives too. So, you see?
But all of the ADHD things I can relate to are mental, and some are sensory - like, I need my blanket to be smooth, you can’t just throw it on me or snuggle me up with it. It also can’t be folded, ‘cause I’ll notice if it’s not evened out and it’ll be uncomfortable on my skin.
And I prefer fleece, I’m uncomfortable with normal bedding.
I don’t really remember symptoms in my childhood, because I never thought about it (or even educated on ADHD, etc), but I never liked the feel of normal bedding - before I became disabled at age 10, and back when I was in control over things - so I always slept with a blanket under me.
And I hated frilly clothes, I still hate frills. They’re uncomfortable to my skin. I remember complaining to my mom about wearing frilly socks. In an outsider’s perspective, I was being a brat, but now I see it was a sensory issue.
      😶
I kinda feel bad for self-diagnosing.

This is something that really bother me back then. I was confuse about me being INFP or ISFP. But now, i'm sure i'm an INFP. I love theory, even though i don't have any knowledge about it, i'm still curious. I don't like being pushy, but if it's about my own idealism, i will. I believe everything could happen, even if it doesn't make sense. Also, i'm not "present" type. Most isfp that i found are "go with the flow", but i can't. I can't accept something just the way they are, i need the meaning of it. For me, it's not simple. Because of that, i tend to overthinking all the time.
I have an ISFP friend, it's kinda hard to discuss about random theory with them. But if they know about the theory or have any interest about it, the conversation goes well.

Jesus... this hits home, and pretty much everything youve said in this single comment resonates with me. I was for some time (and still am) torn between isfp and infp but like you i also dont share the "going with the flow" kind of attitude and im not really in the present moment. Or at the very least, i dont care to live in the present and i dont really care for my surroundings. Ive always been a dreamer and more future oriented.
I also love theory- and can speculate and tear things apart for meaning. Now, ive suffered from poor mental health issues for a long time so im prone to doing less brainstorming or coming up with ideas--- because of severe brain fog and not being able to think. And it may seem that i take things at face value but again, my depression is solely responsible for my diminished cognitive faculties-- soo not being able to think; and i am very slow in the head. Mind is blank.

This is all very accurate!! But as a definite ISFP I can tell you that what’s throwing people off here is the description of daydreaming and in their heads, appearing detached from reality, slow to react and disliking people being aggressive with them, as strictly INFP things. But these are all very true for me too. Maybe it’s my ADD that contributes to this lol but I’m pretty sure alot of ISFPs could relate. However, the general description of the different blind spots are so true and you can definitely see the difference between me and my INFP brother from our conversation styles and topics. He’s definitely more mild-mannered and gentle, notices NOTHING in his immediate line of vision, and is interested in every random, mystical, theoretical topic, literally anything EXCEPT reality and practical matters lol I’m definitely a lot more grounded and practical and have the capacity to notice the most obscure details in my environment. Ne is for sure a blind spot for me and it took awhile for me to really understand how my ENTP husband’s mind works! ISFPs are very passionate about things they are interested in and so they can talk a lot to those closest to them. It was intentional in my 20s...to become more in tune with my 5 senses and physical surroundings...but now it's 2nd nature. She doesn't really understand me most of the time. I have social anxiety and she wants to help me "cure" it, but I feel like she wants to make me an extrovert, not only less shy. She is always frustrated that I don't want to talk to a lot of a people, even family, and thinks it's no use to overcome my social phobia if I don't become an extrovert... Also, she is often angry that I'm too lazy and not productive, and always daydreaming (my ADHD doesn't help with that). So I don't feel like we have a lot in common.

I find that one major difference in art produced by these types is that ISFPs tend to talk about certain issues very clearly and explicitly while INFPs are much more cryptic and subtle. INFPs tend make use of metaphors much more often. It's like a layer of encryption which ensures that the true meaning is only revealed to those who think similarly or are very good at seeing small details and interpreting them.

Although being one being a sensor and the other being intuitive they are a lot more similar than people think. Isfps 3rd slot Ni can actually make the, quite intuitive which why a lot of them mistype themselves. I’ll bet the reason why you see so many self proclaimed infps on the internet is because they are isfps who are skipping their tool function and looking at their 3rd slot. Of course the same could be said with infp’s since they could feel very attached to their Si but being Se polr makes them very detached from reality.

INFP here. I never had doubts about INFP vs INSP. I totally agree with the INFP Se blind spot: (lost in the head, slow to take action, unaware of some practical reality details in a way that sometimes offends S types, dislike pushy people).
Not going to the point? That's absolutely my big weakness (typical of INFP). Increasing our Te helps to balance that out.
I guess many people that think that they are INFPs are actually ISFPs. Unlike an ISFP, where a brilliance for Se can be remarkable in creative pursuits, arts, music, drama, etc. The brilliance of Ne is the ability to foresee things where others usually don't. It's far more abstract, scientific, poetic, philosophical, or mystical. Less embodied.
Ne is an enormous appetite for gathering information, and brainstorming, etc. Because of that I actually had doubts between INFP vs INTP because of that "lost in minds" tendency. Or even INFJ. Although I love music, I don't play well instruments (Se, physical mastery, is not my strength).
The INFP does drift into wonderland and tangents and unrelated topics (just like an INTP will have a tendency to drift too). The INFP can ground him/herself in Si manner (if Si is developed), in their strong sense of self-awareness of the internal processes going inside his/her body, their emotional memory, and also their encyclopaedic collection of data (all Si aspects).
If you are still undecided, ask yourself. Even if you like abstract and concrete hobbies, whichj one do you have a tendency to get lost? Going camping, dancing, music, crafts, etc? (Se) Or being lost in your head and thoughts? (Ne) Do you seek more novelty of physical sensorial experiences of more novelty of abstract experiences?
I am an INFP. I love nature, as most INFP/ISFP do. But when I go to nature, I still remain lost in my head. I love music, as most INFP/ISFP, but instead of dancing, I feel just the emotion and the dreamscape instead.

    • @aurorebergen2779
      @aurorebergen2779 2 роки тому +1

Hmmm, I'd argue that Se is more scientific than Ne, as this function is the most connected to the concrete reality, giving the user a pragmatic approach similar to the scientific method. And Se is poetic too! But in a different way, especially combined with Ni, for example Lana Del Rey's music is quite poetic, and she's an ISFP.

Thats why I am confused I keep getting infp but don't know if it fits me because I long and try to become happy in every moment. I drift and wonder alot in my head too much that it's painful and now strive to seek bliss and reach a zen state with less stressors as possible. I did hyper analysing on my traumas and religoun growing up already, from all sorts of perspectives non-biased so maybe I am an infp. Though what bugs me is I constantly try to create an indentity in my self. I don't see it but I try to make one based on ideals. going off artists I listen too and feelings, bringing them together to say who I am. To eventually have impact? I want to impact people spiritually. Eventually produce something ig. Although I am realising as I am writing how easily I doze off and lose what exactly I want to produce. Im half assleep atm WAIt fuck. Only an INFP would trust seeing a therapist then? He mentioned seeking outsourced information. I am the first in my family to randomly have urge to see what a therapist has to say even though I felt like she wouldn't understand me.

It's possible for an INFP to also be very fiery, fiesty, and pushy, isn't it? I definitely wasn't always - used to be known for being "soft, shy, sweet, spacey" etc. However, as I've become an adult & especially after becoming a parent (I'm 24), I've grown to be much more blunt and "grounded" in a way. I'm not afraid to stand up to people, share my opinions, and I do find myself being much more present in the moment than I used to be. I don't like conflict, but I'm not nearly averse to it. I understand that conflict is necessary to prevent further issues in the future sometimes, so I'm the type that'd rather get it over with and worked through the moment it pops up.
I don't like uncertainties, but mainly when it comes to my personal relations. However, I absolutely love theorizing. I could rant forever about stuff that doesn't "apply" to the real world in a tangible way. I'm spiritual, so that's nothing new to me; it's a regular part of me and my life. Still, I strongly dislike things being "up in the air". I like knowing what's coming, and I'll feel unnerved if I can't imagine it. I usually can, almost always - so when I can't.. It's very unsettling to me. Is that INFP esque, or?
I've been typed many times by various people using multiple systems. I personally believe I'm an INFP, but there's been debate on whether I'm actually an ISFP, INFJ, or ENFP (I really don't think I'm ENFP, though). Lol!
There are times when I believe I'm simply a more grounded, "balanced" INFP. I've grown to be one, at least. 👌🏻
But I will say I'm definitely not sporty, and I do struggle with being present in the moment at times. I gotta remind myself to do that. Meditation helps with that a lot. 💗
All I know is I'm definitely a classic fit when it comes to the "INFP-rambling". Haha! 🤣

@@aWERFRGT6545BGFG Meditation isn't always about clearing your mind of thoughts and maintaining a blank state. That's just how it begins. 🌺
You start by becoming present in the moment and clearing your thoughts, focusing only on your breathing. At least 5 counts in and 6-7 counts out, but breathe as deep and slow as you can without causing any discomfort. You do that around 6-10 times (continue to breathe deeply through the entire meditation), focusing only on that and becoming aware of your body starting from your feet. You also allow the feelings of peace, love, and safety to fill your entire being. This can be done with affirmations, thinking or saying aloud to yourself, "I am safe, I am loved, I am at peace." Or, you'll simply feel it - sometimes it just happens due to the breathing. After that, you can start grounding. Guided meditations help with the process of that if you don't already have visualization techniques in mind.
Meditation is a practice that can be utilized in many various ways. My favorite way of meditating doesn't involve clearing the mind and keeping it blank - it involves the steps I laid out before and then letting my thoughts or emotions flow freely, coming and going as they may. I'll take a mental notes of them. I also visualize things, too. There's no one right way to meditate, in my opinion. Everyone has different techniques, and there are multiple purposes of it.
Sometimes, if you have a restless mind and you see clear "visions" or even hear clear "messages" while meditating, it's actually your innate clairvoyant / clairaudient ability coming through.
They could mean more than you think. 💗

I feel the main difference is that they are very laid back and at ease with change, they seem to have no worries about anything, where as I get very anxious when going somewhere new and overthink and worry over everything. Although we are both quite private people who tend to mind our own business, she can be very hot headed at times, she told us a story about when she was young, a girl had wronged her in some way and my Mum was giving chase, the girl made it inside her house and proceeded to taunt my Mum, pulling faces at her through the window. Very spontaneously and without thought for the consequences my Mum picked up a plant pot and launched it through the window. Throwing things during an argument seems to be a trend as does confrontation if someone has wronged her, something I could never do, however I have no problem voicing a different opinion or disagreeing with someone. She is very hands on creative and great at sewing and dress making. I am a dance teacher and although this is seen as physically creative it actually has a lot to do with feeling the flow and natural way to move, I noticed my choreography style is to first relate a feeling or theme to the music, then create a story from this, before choosing movements that link and flow together to express the feeling/theme and tell the story, in a very INFP approach.

This is helpful. I've been trying to guess what type my wife is and was between INFP and ISFP. This helps me think that she's more likely ISFP because the main thing that she and I have in common is that we are both very introverted. Other than that, we are rather opposite. I'm an INTJ with the harmonizer subtype. I'm always daydreaming and have to use mental discipline to stay in the here and now (for a bit) while she seems to be much more grounded. I have trouble coping with sensory inputs from the outside world much of the time while she seems to revel in them. While I seem to be better at picking up on fine details when I am focused on the now, she seems to require less effort to begin to notice her surroundings in the first place. I seem to be more interested in the big picture and what the underlying or between the lines deep meaning of something might be while she seems to take most everything at face value. We both enjoy the arts - both experiencing it and creating it, but she seems to have more natural talent in making her hands do what her mind tells them to whereas I have to struggle a bit to get my clumsy hands to create something that's even close to what I wanted.

I thought that I might be feeling like I'm an infp because of my adhd. But this video made it clear that I'm an infp :D
I like theorizing, and abstract concepts a lot. It's something that I look for. I'm not very into fashion and pop culture, simply because I find it boring and meaningless. If I met a person, I'd not even notice what they're wearing etc and would only be interested in what their personality is like.

I like your explanation of how the intuitive function works, except for the use of the word "daydreamy" .. Though I have heard this word used to describe that function over and over, I am an intuitive and rarely find myself daydreaming, but rather, I go into my mind to think and problem solve. So at least for myself, I consider this characteristic analyzing and not daydreaming. 🤷‍♀️

  • @aprilbl00m
    @aprilbl00m 3 роки тому +3

This is one of the most succinct and accurate breakdowns I've seen of the difference between these two types. I would like to expand on your points re the contrast between the sensory and the intuitive. When observing these types (and others), try to note whether the person focuses on concepts or realities. INFPs love the theoretical, the hypothetical and the abstract, whereas ISFPs are going to use language that focuses on real-world sensory experiences and objects.
The simplest way to distinguish between abstract and sensory is to ask whether the person is referring to a real-world object/phenomena or a conceptual one. For example, when an ISFP talks about a door, they usually mean and actual physical door that you walk through. When an INFP talks about a door, they are more likely to use it as a metaphor to represent an idea - perhaps symbolising a new opportunity or path in life. When listening, ask yourself whether they are talking about an actual, physical door (or other object) or a metaphorical one.
Likewise, intuition tends to extrapolate to universal principles rather than specific instances, often based on lateral connections and pattern recognition. For example, consider the topic of dancing. A sensor will likely tell you that they went to a dance class on the weekend, or talk about their favourite style of dance. An intuitive, however, will likely focus on the concept of dance and what it means for humanity. Why do humans dance? What makes us want to move our bodies when we hear certain notes played in sequence? What is the significance of dance in human social interaction? The INFP will prefer to muse on these questions.

I'm an INFP and I've known a lot of ISFPs. It's easy to confuse the two types but I've noticed Se users are drawn to more physically grounding activities while I prefer my supposedly excessive idealism and fantasy. I think INFPs are more likely to get called mentally ill because they often "lose touch with reality". People aren't aware how self aware I am and that I am grounded, I'm just not great at communicating it so it comes out kind of explosively and confusingly.

  • @haneenasad

As someone who FREQUENTLY gets confused as to whether she is ISFP or INFP, to the point of labeling myself as an IxFP, this video helps me quite a bit. Oddly enough, I have found that I'm a VERY unique mixture between the two. I don't know why that is myself, but I feel that I can switch between my Ne and Se quite easily when I want to, at times (I guess both of mine are somewhat well developed, though I do tend to use Ne more). And when you mentioned the blindspots of the two types, I again could not help but relate to both...

I’ve been following MBTI on and off for years and I still can’t tell if I have Se or Ne. INFP traits are well-documented and ISFPs are seen as the dumber, simpleton brother with less emphasis placed on describing their personality.
I’ve never been present my entire life, I’m constantly daydreaming but my speech is fairly concrete which would make me think of a sensing type.

    • @Bubbles-od2tv

Yeah, i feel there's a huge grey area between INFP and ISFP. I don't fit comfortably in either. I dress well but not fashionably, whereas INFPs are supposed to dress dowdy and drab. I care about my looks and i really admire beauty, it gives me energy to see beautiful people. So my Se is definitely high. I like cities rather than the country for all the sensory stimuli, but i also like the loneliness of cities. I daydream a lot, roommates have often told me that "you look far away", so that seems INFP. I do know how to get to the point when i talk, and i work as a coder so i can be very logical and practical, in fact i respect logical people. But if i didn't need to work, i'd definitely be dreaming a lot more. And while i love music and art, i don't play music or draw. I love dancing and tennis, so that's ISFP. I also like to write and read poetry which seem more INFP.
Bottomline, i think there's a subsection of the population who are fluidly jumping between the INFP and ISFP borders.

Still indecisive. I'm quite absent-minded, but I also relate to the "blind Ne" points (I hate uncertainty and doubts. I also hate too much theorizing and I strongly dislike philosophy, especially the "absolute", "the nature of the soul/mind" and "the nature of God" speculations). Sometimes I talk a lot, other times I just say silent or answer by monosyllable.

INFP here and now I’m more certain about it. Just from the blind spot section.
I’m not sure about all INFP’s but I love ambiguity. I explore grey areas with joy. It’s a common theme in the TTRPG’s I run that I play with the grey areas of morality often. I love creating villains that are ‘doing the right thing’ and heroes who while being ‘good’ are actually doing more damage. It plays with perspective and perception. I enjoy theorizing about almost anything from cyclical universes to what caused the late Bronze Age collapse. I enjoy that I don’t know for sure because the possibilities are almost endless.
Btw TTRPG is table top role playing game. Like dungeons and dragons or vampire the masquerade or pathfinder
Now that I’m self conscious about everything I just said I will retreat to the shadows once more.

@@youknowthedrill2164it's sometimes draining me that ISFP's only like to live in the present, as if there wasn't a deeper meaning and Power behind music, arts and human consciousness. I don't need people to become religious, but ISFP's sometimes appear shallow and narrow minded. Like what's the meaning of life, if you're always busy doing something without questioning or getting behind Things on a more abstrakt level? It's also because most of people are Sensors, that ISFP's tend to believe that most of the people when they act in a normal way, they are considered Real or authentisch, and that's the reason why they don't always have the capacity to understand people and personalities that are different, very special or not fitting to the "norm" or society. So they often really have Problems to read other people, they just think Everybody Must think and feel the way they Do and then become paralysed if someone is suddenly acting against the concrete Fundaments of what they think is normal. That's also why you find more INFP's in psycholigical careers, while ISFP's are more likely to work Hands on, e.g. home care/child care and interactive counseling, that's more like in the present moment therapy counseling approach, while the INFP counselor loves to talk endlessly with his Patient to get to the source of the patient's misery and sufferings.

as an isfp that tends to daydream and gets distracted alot, i dont really think its its just:
infp: abstract mind and isfp: present mind.
i think it has more to do with how they interact and experience the world.
i know i use an auxiliary Se as i am constantly needong to do and experience things and live in the present moment, run around be active. especially in comparison to my two infp friends, im extremely grounded and love sensory input. i love philosophical concersations as long as whats said is concrete and the argumentive rather than tangents about things that dont have clear cut answers. but i definitely have a tendency to get lost in my mind or in imagining worlds towards music, not hear someone call my name because i was distracted.
id say the biggest ay to tell if youre an se or an ne user is if you:
    seek real experiences
    or seek abstract experiences
to your points about ranting and stuff, id say that it really depends on the conversation and who one is talking with. default me tends to give straight answers but its also not rare for me to rant for hours about my experiences about certain things i like and stuff and jump from idea to idea.
ive noticed that Ne user rants tend to be more "Anything i like about specific topic i like" whereas Ni user rants tend to be "different opinions and experiences ive had with said topic and why its good or bad"
edit: ive read a couple comments talking about the different communication styles and i agree with that so much!!
because of our Se Ni we tend to be very straightforward rather that the abstract dlowery way INFPs talk lol
all in all. good video. dont fully agree though
