Rules:
1. The run must be done at OP 10.
2. All gear used must be obtained during the run.
3. No unique items may be used, because I said so.
4. After the beginning, I must be fully poisoned before moving forward. Failure to do so must be met with a return to the point where I spawned, death, or a reload of the area. Whichever was necessary to remedy the mistake.
5. Cars can only be used when necessary due to it not being lethal in vehicles.
6. No turtle shields.
How deep into Pandora can one get when plagued by spores? When hampered by heaps of health inhibiting inhalants? I've wanted to take a crack at answering these questions for a while. And finally, I can. It's... certainly a way to play the game. Also, Gaige/Deathtrap are underrated. Hot dang.

I'm so happy to see a challenge run with Gaige for once. she's my favorite character to play by far since I adore playing any sort of summoner in games, and even though she's not the best I love messing around with her
I don’t find them fun because axton is just better at basically everything and every single build for gaige is just anarchy
Honestly, I've always liked her for very similar reasons, but kinda migrated away for how I felt Deathtrap fell off in TVHM. This... this has changed some things.

I'm still awestruck at just how good he genuinely is. Melee shield + Make it Sparkle is _a lot_ better than it has any right to be at those levels.
The cheese puns were almost too much to handle, I'd make one myself but I'm having a hard time thinking of one gouda nuff.

I was just watching you last night and realized I had finished all the Borderlands 2 challenge runs you've done, and I was hoping you'd release another one soon. I guess I got my wish pretty quickly. I hope to see more of the BL runs, they're my favorite on UA-cam
I remember a point in time when I thought I was going to run out really quickly, but it's the series that just keeps on giving. I've got a couple of unrelated games that I'm looking forward to playing soon, but I also keep finding Borderlands runs that I get really excited about.

Spuddy you couldve made a cheese pun like, the bunker and its jet loaders just shredded me (not the best but still works)
I remember the streams and i think the glorified poptart and its assasin jet loaders was probably one if if not the most painful part of this run. Clutchtrap (had to be there to understand) really came through during that fight though
Those jet loaders came out of nowhere... I've spent countless hours in that place, and I don't think I've ever seen so many. Clutchtrap truly did a lot to prevent things slipping.

equiping a new shield resets the shield charge to full so if you find a shield on the ground you can equip swap to reset your shield

I know Joltz did one through normal mode a long while back. I'm not so sure Deathtrap could handle things like the Warden/Jack in UVHM or above. Possibly TVHM, but that'd be less fun.

Y'know what? Credit where it's due. This was better in a lot of ways. Better concept, a lot less ham... Albeit that it was replaced by a heaping quantity of cheese. All this to say--good job. And I hope you're not mad about what I said before.
I saw Gaige and thought you were gonna do a summons only run like you did for Remnant. DT has his...issues, but I did it at level 72 and built properly into the two other trees that arent the good one (Anarchy) he can do damage. A DT with corrosion infusion, a depleted roid shield, against a super badass loader killed it in two swings. One if robot rampage was off cooldown. Not bad damage... SHAME HE INSISTS OF USING THAT STPUDID EYE LASER ON MOST BOSSES INSTEAD OF HIS CRACKED MELEE DAMAGE AAAAAAA
but other than that, not bad damage

So you have the commander mod since you're able to teleport forwards, but instead of using its location saving to instantly go to where you need to go to be poisoned you spam teleport forwards to get there? I guess it wouldn't be a challenge run without unnecessary suffering
More than anything? I just didn't want to bother learning/remembering the inputs required. I figured it wouldn't be that much more work to just brute force it.

"taking damage moves you up ever so slightly meaning a lot of my inputs get eaten" I haven't played BL2 in a while, but I remember Krieg's main things are melee and setting himself on fire for bonuses, is this a common problem on him as well? Iirc they made him heavier than the other vault hunters to reduce knockback effects so he can stay in melee range easier, does that helps with being bounced by burn as well?
He is heavier, but he tends to have the same issue with most sources of damage. Honestly, he could stand to have been made even heavier, but... Come to think of it though, I'm not sure if the fire DoT does the same.
So is there an explanation for why you couldn't use the good gear that you got dropped? Cuz being poison doesn't mean you can't pick up a good weapon.
More than anything, I just didn't want to use unique gear. And E-tech feels at the very least unique adjacent.
Huh, so it does damage over time. I genuinely have never gotten poisoned because the game's fairly generous with giving you breathers, and I had been wondering if it just insta-kills you or not but couldn't be arsed to make a new character just to try it.
Truth be told, I wasn't sure of the details before starting up the logistical phase of the run. But also, I don't spend much time in the DLCs. As is often the case, this run taught me a fair bit about one of my favorite games.

Would you ever consider challenge running a souls game?
One of the biggest issues with the Souls series is just how well covered the games are. It's a lot harder to find runs that haven't been done in one way or another. I have run the first a couple of times, and I do really enjoy getting into the genre when I can. One day, I'd really like to get into the others in the core series, but... (Also, I want Bloodborne on PC so badly.)
@@SpuddyCube Well I've personally been meaning to do a challenge run of DS2 using only the old sun ring due to something I'm cooking up in Dragon Age Origins, in which by only casting fireball at my feet I'll have to ask myself, can you beat these games as a grenade? And remember that you don't have to limit yourself to doing only original challenges. While yes they can be fun, as someone who runs my own on a personal account, figuring out what hasn't been done can be extremely stressful. Don't run yourself down but keep that spirit up. (Also btw if you'd like to use my ideas please feel free to because they're an absolute *blast*)
Adding on to souls inspiration btw I've been running the first game for years and have a lot of ideas for stupid things that might be up your alley, but also fun stuff that would be less soul rending because although your dedication is a marvel to observe, gotta make sure you don't go insane before you hit 100k

Edit: Just saw the no uniques rule. Why would you do this to yourself. Slag transfusions then?
One of the reasons I wanted to avoid them actually stemmed from the Grog. Shield drains a lot slower than health, but having life steal means Grog Sal becomes a lot more viable. Which would be a lot less fun.
I did get some use out of singularities, but I just didn't find myself using any kinds of them often. If anything, I think that shows a weakness of my own playstyle, and I should probably work on it.
@@SpuddyCube There is many ways to play. Some are more effective than others. There is no wrong way to play. Unless you don't use slag, then there is one wrong way to play. Honestly Axton might have been the play instead of Gaige. Quick Charge for shield regen, the max health increasing skills, grit for the chance to just not die, The shield skills, and able over in the green tree for hp regen when doing dmg. Not as bulky as Sal, but Axton is pretty hard to kill. Plus the shield bubbles and, if you spec far enough into the green tree and the turret actually locks on, slag rounds and explosive volleys.

Far as I can tell? It turns out that he's actually really good. Squishy, sure. But a surprisingly good source of damage when built right.

The title can be taken two ways, either the player character is poisoned during the run or the person playing is poisoned, the skit at the start was the second option.
