Well the next down the line would probley be the diffs but thats when it pays to run the slipper a little on the loose side to save that from happening
I actually never hooked up the dual fans on the motor I needed a y harness so I could run both the esc fan and the motor fans but never got around to picking one up so I chose just to run the esc fan, I'm still running the stock gear ratio but I always run on 3s so the extra power helps also with the extra body trimming to fit the 2.8s added extra air flow to the esc and motor to help control those temps a little better
@@fullthrottleobsessions Yeah def need those upgrades, just wish they didn’t false advertise on the box it’s capable of running a 3s, literally the first week I put in a 3s battery, the vxl blew lol

Dont upgrade it ! The spurgear is plastic for a good reason , if something fail , the spur gear "suicide herself" to save the rest of the component , only 5$ , with an metal one , you gonna wrek you diff , motor bearing , or worst ! Be carefull , on race truck ok , but on bash dont recomended !
I can only seem to find a full bearing kit. Does anyone know the sizes of the two bearings in this assembly?
How would I take off the spring without that special tool ?
You can loosen the slipper with a regular wrench
what brakes nest cuz i have metal axles and looking too get that spur gear i wanted to know whats the next weekest link

I noticed you removed the dual fan setup, what's the story behind that.
What gear ratio did you finally settle on and what's the temp.

Ok how come I ordered the spur gear off the link and I got a gear with its own slipper clutch and it’s a completely different gear
This video was made over 2 years ago bud, my guess is they changed the design or they stop making this gear all together
so you added a metal spur gear right.
Yep, it's been holding up pretty well so far
where did you get the "slotted" spur gear?
I picked the spur gear up off of Amazon a few years ago, I'm not sure if this style is still available
Is that thing lifted if so where did you get it
I did raise it a little by adjusting the shocks, I also trimmed the body to fit the 2.8s
Hi I know this vid was made a long time ago but how is it did that spur hold up I really need a strong one for mine
This spur gear has held up great bud, I never had any issues with it
FullThrottle Obsessions what brand is it ?
Honestly I dont remember man, I really think it was unbranded there wasnt any label on it or the packing
FullThrottle Obsessions ok dude
After putting in a 3S battery it’s just one thing breaking after another, I guess they aren’t built to handle that much power
There not really meant for 3s out of the box but once you throw a few upgrades at it the slash tends to hold up quite well on 3s

Agree with you man, I destroyed my ERBL's diff while bashing with a steel spur.
RCDuck's | Chaine Modélisme i agree with you bud, i left the slipper a bit on the loose side to be safe well hopfully safe lol
I was always told the same
Those stock spurs are really not that great, I literally just fixed my driveshaft, but only for the spur to strip after only a few mins of use 🙄
I hear yah, I definitely stripped my fair share of the plastic spurs in my time that's why I just upgrade to metal one now
Dude awesome video brother keep up the amazing work and did u change your cell number I called u Earlier
Joshua Rides thanks bud, numbers the same man i coudnt answer because i was using my hotspot to unload this video
