While these videos are great, they always seem to assume that you’re applying for an adjustment of status and that your spouse lives with you in the US. I’ve been married for two years but we haven’t been able to live together because my husband is not a US resident. I can’t put him on my lease and we were not able to open a joint account, we’ve tried. I would love to see one of these videos aimed at couples like us. What type of questions do we get asked? How do you prove the validity of your marriage to an immigration officer when you have to live in different countries due to immigration laws?
Thank you for this Miss, but I'm so confused and actually kind of upset, that after spending literally hundreds of dollars getting copies of everything, (a lot in color to show authenticity) including colored prints of dozens and dozens of photos that added up to over $200 just the photos alone, and Fed Ex-ing docs from overseas, etc, etc - ALL that were included in the initial package we sent for the Adjust of Status application, but now for our interview, they're asking for all of that yet again?! You would think they'd have all of that at the ready on their desk when we go all in front of them. So why must we go through the headache, huge time consumption and costly process of repeating this all over again? Thanks heaps for your kind consideration. :)
We had our marriage interview for the I-130 and the I-130 got approved. Do you think we will have another interview for the adjustment of status / green card?
some questions here. i have a friend shes going in 2021 to get the interview to remove conditions on her temporary greencard. a) is it now mandatory for her to provide health insurance proof that she has it? and b) will the immigration be scrutiinizing (AGAIN) her us citizens husbands income to see if he meets the minimum requirements for sponsorship? they already provided that last year at her first interview for temporary greencard. so shes curios if they will be scrutinized AGAIN for this, thank you if you can reply!

Hi there, thanks for the great video. I have my interview coming soon. In terms of joint documents obviously I as the applicant I’m not working so would it still makes sense for my husband to add me on his lease even though I’m not contributing anything financially or his mortgage bill? I am on his health and credit card and life insurance but when it comes to anything that requires me to contribute money unfortunately I am currently not working because I’m not allowed to so how do we go about that. Thank you
How do you get joint documents when both of you live in a different country? Applying to the U.S but she can't legally come in yet. If I am a us citizen?
I live in India and my wife is in us and we don't have anything joint like bank account, insurance, mortgage etc. So how can we do that as I am in India and don't have social security number to open joint bank account or mortgage. How can we prove this wedding is legitimated wedding?? Please help me.
My husband and I have our interview next month. The instructions on the letter say to bring medical examination Form I-693 in a sealed envelope unless already submitted. We sent the DS-3025 when we mailed the AOS package, and it will still be less than a year since he had the examination when we go for our interview. So we don't need to worry about this, right?
What if we have A baby prior to the green card interview? Should we take the baby with us to the interview or should we just take the birth certificate? Is it a good enough proof for the case to be approved (a child together).
My family is been waiting for my husband immigration visa for over two years and we are still waiting for an interview appointment, if he crossed the broaders in Mexico what will happen with my immigration visa petition, how will that affect the future?
Our lawyer took and submitted all our original documents (birth cert, marriage cert, etc.) to USCIS with the I-130. The interviewer will expect us to bring them to the interview?
I’m pretty sure you shouldn’t have sent the originals but a copy. Use The original to copy from and then send that to them because you aren’t going to get any of the paperwork you sent back.... to the interview you would bring the original copies
Bring a person able to speak english fluently with you, it can be a friend (they do not recommend family because the might add or say things for you) older than 18. Or find an interpreter and pay for the service.

Hi, my wife and I filed our I-130 with the USCIS office in London UK on March 12th. She is currently living in the UK with me and we're hoping to get an interview come November, we will be married for 2 years at that point. I would just like to know, if our interview is after November this year, will our Green card, if I am accepted , be permanent as it had been 2 years since our marriage?
We have been married for 5 years so far. We have the appointment next month. Im very nervous because my husband doesn't speak English fluently. I have heard couples say that they were separated for the questions. If we aren't separated can I translate for my husband?
I dont think you can be used as your husband's interpreter because the whole point of the separated interview is see if most of your answers match. Hire a interpreter or take somebody (friend, not family) older than 18.
I don’t have any joints account with my husband because I don’t have my SSS ID yet so the bank won’t let me get it... are they still gonna approved my interview? Please I need an answer for this. Highly appreciate you!
KitKat says GAME there’s a bank within Walmart who allowed my husband to be on my account without a social... it’s woodforest I think Wells Fargo helps u out as well. As long as your husband has a SS# they should allow it.
KitKat says GAME I went into woodforest and I told him he didn’t have a SS# and he had only a Mexico passport at the time and they took that... just take some form of ID and have your husband go with you. It should take no more than an hour.
I also listed him on my auto insurance they allowed me to even though he doesn’t currently have a drivers license (waiting for his SS# to arrive). That’s another thing u can do as a form of documentation for joint assets. They use his Mexico passport as well.

Thanks alot for your helpful video..it helps me.
Thank you for watching GrayLaw TV!
What if we are living in separate countries?
My family is been waiting for my husband immigration visa for over two years and we are still waiting for an interview appointment, if he crossed the broaders in Mexico what will happen with my immigration visa petition, how will that affect the future?
Please don't go out if you didn't already until he gets his documents completed if not apply for Avanced parole - it's like a travel document.
Hi,
Can I get a translator for my green card interview?
Our lawyer took and submitted all our original documents (birth cert, marriage cert, etc.) to USCIS with the I-130. The interviewer will expect us to bring them to the interview?
Live chat with Humberto and Courtney! This Friday from 8am to 9:30am PST! Looking forward to your questions!
They send you a notice letter telling you the things they want you to bring
I’m pretty sure you shouldn’t have sent the originals but a copy. Use The original to copy from and then send that to them because you aren’t going to get any of the paperwork you sent back.... to the interview you would bring the original copies
Hi. Soon I'm going to have my interview in US embassy for spousal visa. I'm very nervous because I don't speak english fluently. What should I do ?
Bring a person able to speak english fluently with you, it can be a friend (they do not recommend family because the might add or say things for you) older than 18. Or find an interpreter and pay for the service.
@@mgab88 thanks for your reply. One more question please.. how long will be the interview?
@@rafiamumtaz3192 Hey just to make sure i am not a lawyer, i have my interview next week so i have been doing a lot of research this past week. About the time it depends of your anwers, officer experience (that is what i have read).I have 3 friends that went through this already and they said 1hr in average.
@@mgab88 thanks. Good luck for your interview 😊
Please watch my video rafia
I hope you will be able to answer my enquiry. I was interviewed since october and had a paper saying that I will be mailed with an answer within 4 months. I have been waiting since with no reactions from the uscis. I called and they asked me to just wait. My lawyer did not help much; he just asked me to contact the uscis on the matter. Should I be worried about the long wait?
I love your smile 😊 I wish we both went for interview I’m just kidding 😘 thanks 🙏🏻
Please I did my marriage Ceremony in Africa Ghana and now live in Germany but I never presented my marriage certificate in Germany, my Question is does it enough or I should present the certificate to the German lawyer or what please?
Hello, I have a quick question, do I have to have health insurance before I go to the interview? Someone told me I have to show proof of health insurance.
Not necessarily, if you’ve never had it before why have it now before the interview
Nope, you don't have to take the insurance with you.
Do you send in pictures of the marriage and other pictures when sending in the paper works before the interview?
Traceyann Maragh Yes. the form I-130 request that you send those additional items in such as a lease , proof of a joint account, any shared assets or accounts
But some people are telling me I should take the pictures with me when I am going for the interview. But send all other required documents
Traceyann Maragh ok. You can always check out the form online for yourself and make a final decision. The form is I-130. Best wishes
I want to know if we are asked to see our phones??
In some countries they actually ask you to not bring in your phone at all to the interview
turdmonster45 ok thnx u
Hi, my wife and I filed our I-130 with the USCIS office in London UK on March 12th. She is currently living in the UK with me and we're hoping to get an interview come November, we will be married for 2 years at that point. I would just like to know, if our interview is after November this year, will our Green card, if I am accepted , be permanent as it had been 2 years since our marriage?
My mom last name it's wrong just a letter am I have to do it over again?
No should be able to fix it later, not doing everything again
Can I bring videos as evidence ????
We have been married for 5 years so far. We have the appointment next month. Im very nervous because my husband doesn't speak English fluently. I have heard couples say that they were separated for the questions. If we aren't separated can I translate for my husband?
To marriery wed me?
I dont think you can be used as your husband's interpreter because the whole point of the separated interview is see if most of your answers match. Hire a interpreter or take somebody (friend, not family) older than 18.
Bring someone with you to translate. You cannot translate for him.
Thanks Nikki! How long they’ll process it? My interview is gonna be this coming Tuesday.
Nikki Calvillo, alright gonna try that! Hope it works for me. Appreciate you so much Nikki! 😊
Hi my wife is us citizen and she filled i130 petition im from india and im before 5 years working in Singapore and before 2 years working in dubai then i need the Singapore and dubai police clearance paper interview time ??

A question, what if you have kids with your partner, is the marrage interview necessary even after producing marriage certificates?
Hello Mr. Juma. You will still need to be interviewed even if you have children.
What If your spouse is in another country? How does that work?
Ensl Dorv they send you to an embassy in your spouses country

Nice... very informative!

Hi Courtney! I have a coming interview for I-485 aos at El Paso Texas my question is after my interview, on our way home to Carlsbad New Mexico from El Paso Texas there is a border patrol checkpoint is there a possibility that they will hold me? I am married to a US CITIZEN. I have not receive my EAD and my tourist Visa is already expired last April 2019. I've been here for 4yrs already. Please help me answer my question. Thank you!
Consult an immigration attorney.. And they will answer all your questions
I think is better don't leave USA until you have your EAD or green card, is better save than sorry! Don't take the risk😉
How did it go? What were some of the questions they asked you
@@AideGDiaz he just asked me for our birth certificate ,marriage certificate. Questions from my form I-485. After that he approved me right there and then, got my green card after 1week.🙂
