Very nice! Stunning views and boy, those engine sounds on takeoff were music to my ears. Thanks for uploading!
It's always my pleasure my friend! Thanks for watching!
Nice! Been on Delta's 717 from DTW-BUF before; it's really fun to fly on! Also got to sit in the cockpit of it.
That's pretty cool my friend! I love flying on any aircraft with tail mounted engines. Thanks for watching!
I like when the aircraft goes from loud to soft as it is put into reverse. So cool!
I really enjoyed the boarding sequences, as well as the quick tour of the cabin! Great video my friend, and great catch! I love the 717 :)
Thanks my friend! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome video! It's great to see the 717 still flying with Hawaiian =D
Thanks my friend! Long live the 717 and it's older relatives the MD-80 and MD-90!
Wow I miss the sound of the 717 taking off!!! I was a flight attendant for TWA/American. Flew onbthrm more times than I can count! I miss those lil planes!!!
Hawaiian Airlines might end up being the final operator of the 717, as Qantas is retiring the type in 2023, Delta in 2025, and Hawaiian has no plans to retire the type.
Wish I was going!!
this plane took me to hilo and back to honolulu same day june 15th LOL
Awesome video man liked
Thanks my friend!
What a great video. 😊
Thanks my friend!
Skylite Productions you’re welcome 😊
A few months ago I flew across the USA on a Frontier Airbus, had basically the same sort of seats. Never been to Hawaii, not sure I would want to visit, even though I have a buddy on Kauai.
Oh my friend. Hawaii is my favorite place to visit. If it wasn't for my home state of Kansas that I love so much Hawaii would be my favorite state. I would definitely recommend it. At least once. My favorite island is The Big Island (aka the Island of Hawaii), followed by Kauai. It's a long flight, but worth it! Thanks for watching!
Nice flight
Thanks man!
20 yrs ago, it seemed like 1/2 the planes at HNL were 747's. Now hardly none....
Yeah. And now, with the COVID-19 deal. We may never see a 747 at HNL again. It's so sad to see how this pandemic is completely tearing the airline industry apart.
7:24 this is where the smisonion get their plane sounds
Cool my friend! Thanks for watching!
Skylite Productions Yea
A fleet of Q400's would make Hawaiian millions in profits!
Their 717 fills a niche role in their fleet.
Hawaiian airlines should order a220 to replace B717
I would love that! I love the old 717's, but Hawaiian puts them through so many cycles that I can't imagine they will last much longer. Thanks for watching!
The issue is the engines. Would the A220's engines be able to endure the stress that Hawaiian would put them through on a daily basis?
Replace them with Q400s. I heard that Horizon Air is retiring the type. Maybe Hawaiian Airlines can pick them up and ship them to the island chain.
I wonder how many cycles these island hoppers accumulate everyday.
Well, I just picked a few tail numbers and looked at their recent flight logs and N477HA had 11 flights on May 9th, has had 11 flights today, and is scheduled for 16 flights tomorrow. So, I would say they go through a LOT of cycles. Thanks for watching my friend!

Bro are you a tall man
I would say so. I’m 6’ 2”.
I’m sure plane rides are expensive
Well they definitely can be. Although, if you know how to seek them out, you can often times find great deals!
Skylite Productions like what?
