My father showed me the improved clinch knot when I was 8 years old. I have never tied a uni knot or palomar or any other kind. I have caught an 80 lb. amberjack with it. Supposedly the uni knot and others are stronger, but old habits are hard to break. I have seen you use them for tuna and I got hollered at by a mate on a tuna trip last year for using it, but I think the improved clinch knot is underrated.
Nice Sopranos reference! "" Johnny Sac""! Sacramono. You can see the reflection of the bottom where you are at. Big flats there. Even though it's muddy. Plus it's low tide. Great video! Now? They're all over the shore and out in front of the beaches. Enjoy! Safe travels and God bless!
Wish a few from the Hudson River would stop netting , picture of every fish then think the fish are just fine . Fantastic video of the correct way to handle pre spawn fish !!
The price of bloodworms is brutal but when the jumbos come in the way they have been it makes it much easier to sell. I love that you can go from a small little 16' boat up to your big boat and everything in between and you still have the same excitement in your voice. Keep up the great work and I only hope that you can when day do it full time! :)
Despite what the fish "scientists" continue to push.... the fishery is healthy. Glad to see you on the brackish water getting back to your roots. If you find yourself on the "nevermoor" on Baltic again, stop and say hi. Tight lines.
Bro! Your videos really PISS ME OFF!! All that great knowledge to share and your buddies can’t get “permission” to come along? 😂😂 it’s a sin to see you fishing alone. Great stuff as always brother. You make the only fishing videos I watch religiously.
@@reaperfishingnj8623 You know you ARE correct there. Everyone gets something different from fishing. It can be a powerful activity. 👍👍. We need to do some videos together sometime.
Something we do with the blood bags. We go to a famous footwear or footlocker and grab the disposable socks basically mini stockings they’re perfect size for blood works and you only have to tie them once and cut the excess. They usually just let you grab as many as you want if you ask.
i like that I can cast very far with them if i need to spread baits out a bit more. The added length i feel helps me pull less hooks. The backbone and 5000-6500 series reels lets me put a lot of pressure on these fish so i can get them to the boat without exhausting them
@@reaperfishingnj8623 gotcha. If you’re using a long mono leader before your swivel, you should be fine tho. That stretch should give the circle hook as much time as it needs to work. Also, if your hook has an octopus eye, (aka up-eye) they should always be snelled. You’ll increase your hookup ratio that way

I literally tie maybe 5-6 knots. Improved clinch is prolly tied for first
Some beautiful shots and great fishing!
Thank you very much!
Awesome day. Thank you for your fantastic releases. More folks should do the same.
thanks so much for watching! I see all these poor spring bass getting mistreated, disrespected, and dying for no reason. It's sad.

I gotta do it. Penn fierce live liner looks like 5000. Ht 100 is the drag washers Penn uses. Sorry capt. I had to
Ha. Oops. That was me rushing thru things and lack of sleep. I think I've used that reel 5 times

REAPER!!!
4/16 I caught a 30 pounder not far from where you are. Also had 6/0 hook thru finger. Great day😂
Ugh. That'll ruin your day. But glad you got a big one
@@reaperfishingnj8623 yea no more top and bottom rigs with those big girls. First thing I did was buy some good cutters for hooks🤣. Yea it sucked
Chris. How deep of water were you fishing in. I am going to try fishing on Thursday.
Thank you
12-15 ft. Good luck!!!
Hey cap! When Can I Go with you on a tuna fishing? Lol. Tight Lines captain!
Ha. Thanks so much for watching!! It's a long waiting list!!
Was out the same day at the same spot from the bank. Needless to say it was pretty hot no matter where u where at😂
nice!!! I heard a good amount of hooting from the beach!!!
Any tips
for catching them on shore
Same setup. Same technique. When the tide is low....wade out as far as you can before casting!
Infamous Chris leader
ha
Love that shirt tho! Pink Floyd
Tied for first as my fav band!!
@@reaperfishingnj8623 me too
I heard they bite best in Yash country ???
i've never figured out that fishery. I think it's a myth!!!
Why are you using a 9’ from a boat? Especially for dropping bait
