Hey Chris, recent subscriber here and fellow UA-camr (although my channel highlights a much different hobby). Found your channel this summer and have been enjoying catching up on all your previous stuff.. Your videos are great and I've learned quite a bit from you. Because of them I recently got up the nerve to make my own solo trips to some reefs outside of OCNJ in my "new to me" Montauk 17. Been catching keeper fluke (super pumped) and hope to hone in on some tog this fall. Just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration and I hope to see you on the water some day... or in tackle direct...or Bass Pro. Keep up the great work! ~Sully
When I was a kid we got caught in a bad storm at the Barnegat Ridge , bluefishing... and literally thought we were dead men. Life jackets on and all. In a 28 CC. Came out of nowhere. Thankfully a lot of boats were around and a few party boats. So we weren't the only ones in it and I felt safe knowing the bigger head boats were close by. But yeah man I was scared! Glad you made it in safe! God bless you bro! Tight Lines!
Been there, done that - great call on shutting down and waiting it out. Glad all turned out safely, nothing beats experience and you seem to have plenty of it and use good judgement. Good job on grinding out a catch!
Nice video, loved it. Those storms are no joke, especially when you see a shelf cloud (independence day space ship cloud approaching) dead calm upon arrival, all hell afterwards. Saw 2 of them on the Delaware Bay from a rental house from Fortescue, crazy, scary and amazing all at the same time. Keep the content coming and safe journey's!
Got to love the summer storms. Btw it was pretty cool for my son and I to see you fishing next to us on Monday. We were one of the few boats left in the afternoon as well. Glad you guys managed 1. We were thinking of coming over and saying hi but didn't want to get in your way. Maybe next time. Anyways we love the videos keep it up.
We were out there that same day further south in the Baltimore, tried to avoid it on the way in, didn't work out. Seemed to follow us. Tried to shoot a narrow band, but it got nasty in a hurry. Went 0 for 2.
New sub here , from jersey as well….. mostly freshwater videos on my channel but did start my channel running fluke off manasquan inlet. Where to you launch your boat out of ? Good videos and tight lines 👊🏼🎣
how you keep going is a mystery to me, after 24 hours I am zombified, love the channel and the sport, but don't kill yourself for it, think of the future big waves you'll be surfing if you don't overdo it, not being a dick just worried about your health.

1992, coming back from the Lindenkohl on a 41' Trojan, we ran through thunder and lightning, that scared the heck out of me.
Yeah it can be spooky for sure!

Boats like that don’t have any protection from lightning strikes??? I always assumed that had something for that
Unfortunately not
