Thats interesting, my oil fill cap is on the drivers side of the motor and yours on the left . And yes its a vx commodore

Yes yours is a Vx? That’s okay dude lol
Some components are shared but they’re Different engines entirely. Many things are different, including tb and accel cable positions relative to the covers.

I didn't use instant gasket, and the gasket was falling out. I just pushed it back in. It was leaking worse then before i replaced it, will it need replacing again?

No you do not need to drain the oil 1st to change the rocker cover gasket
