‘67 Triumph chopper barn find clutch slipping 12/05/22

Clutch has been slipping under hard acceleration. Haven’t wanted to run the bike hard so it wasn’t an issue. The handlebar cable adjuster is almost at max adjustment and keeps coming out. Time to dig into it and figure out the problem

Yea those clutch plates will stick. If you don't break them loose before you let the clutch out it will stall. I saw a person on a forum that said that if you rev up the engine pretty good before letting the clutch out it will break up the plates. I tried it and it works. I had to put a spacer down where the cable goes into the clutch cover to take up slack. I've had a lot of trouble finding the right length of shield for the cables. I've even had to shorten the cable so the shield would work.
