seeing them in clone wars now feels completly surreal if im being honest. With them having their own show now and all, meanwhile here they are more like side-characters/special guests.
@@alexsung3117Really? I thought Disney restarted Clone Wars just to use the final season as a back door pilot for their own squad of clones, The Bad Batch. You’re telling me they were conceived when Cartoon Network still had control over the series?
@@ztslovebird Their introduction in the Clone Wars was going to be in season 6, alongside a LOT of cut story arcs. the full on unfinished animatic of this entire arc was on youtube for years. And they were indeed going to be returning in a few other arcs planned for season 7, 8 and 9 (because yeah thats how long this series was going to be before it got canned in 2013) Infact if we were to believe Filoni, apparently the idea for the to have their own show originates from a pretty old inside-joke they had in the writers room. So yeah i guess this finally became reality.
I’m curious for the parts where Tech is translating if they had Dee speak the lines normally and then they took that and ran it backwards because it sounds like he’s talking in reverse.
Donatello may be my favorite Turtle in existence, but Tech is leagues ahead of him when it comes to being an awesome character! (In my opinion of course)

i feel that the voices for the bad batch in the tv show sounded less like the the normal clone voice compared to their voices in the season in the clone wars season 7. any 1 else feels that way as well?
Yeah you can tell DBB was still tuning the voices, but personally I like Tech’s voice more in CW than in TBB. He still has the more British accent, and sounds very matter-of-fact, but here his voice isn’t as high and sounds more natural. Crosshair’s voice on the other hand, is more perfected in TBB.
Completely agree. After knowing their voices so well now, watching them in TCW is actually a little confusing sometimes because they blend together more. I still think Dee Bradley Baker is super talented though and glad he voiced these guys!
I actually like his Bad Batch voice. It's kind of softened- not as gruff commando. Kind of plays him out to be the nerdy Tech guy who isn't on the front line or yelling that much (even though he's still bad*ss) and it differentiates him from the other clones. I think in the clone wars his voice sounded a little too much like the regular troopers and almost a little sluggish. In Bad Batch he speaks just a little faster making his delivery of sentences sound more intelligent and leads him towards being on the spectrum (which people speculated because of episode 9 with Omega) . Notice in Bad Batch we never hear Tech use a contraction, but in the Clone Wars I believe he used a few.
It is. Tech's voice in the Clone wars was closer to a reg's voice. In the Bad Batch, his voice becomes more "Tech sounding" more refined and more intelligent sounding. He doesn't use contractions at all in the Bad Batch but in the Clone Wars he uses a few.
@@ismaelgingles9409 I honestly don’t think so. I doubt the writers had a plot point from a different series thought up during clone wars. Everything was still getting fleshed out. Tech’s voice isn’t even the same. It’s more of a creepy coincidence I think
I think the moment Tech said "How else, we jump." was the moment Anakin regretted not meeting these guys earlier in the war, they're a perfect match.
I feel that regret as well
😂😂❤
The war would’ve been over in a week if Anakin had been assigned Clone Force 99 from the start.
And that high-pitched string music bit in the BGM during that part makes the scene comedy gold 🪙
I just love how the batch is as badass as anakin but without the force to fall back on
Love the fact that Tech was not only genius, but he can fight well just like other commandos.
"technically they were trying to mate with us" - Tech

me as an animal when i see the bad batch:
In defense of those Yalbec males, these guys are pretty cool...
Can you blame em?
So he got his name because he starts every sentence with “Technically…”
Or likes to speak Tecno bable
And because he likes tech, basically he’s an iPad kid.
Tech’s shots land differently, he knows he is not as good as CrossHair but he is as precise as he possibly can be.

It’s even more crazier they were already conceived before the show was canceled.

I do suspect that this arc was chosen to be a part of the final season because they knew they could make a spin-off out of them
I love his reaction at 0:52 when Wrecker kicks in the door. 😂
Tech basically the “Um actually….” of the bad batch but in a good way
Yes!
Hunter: Yeah he can fill your head with useless information.
Tech: Excuse me?

Wrecker and Tech are the best duo. Tech would give the translation droids run for their credits by looking for the right dialects
