I love how different Tech's piloting is to other pilots in the Star Wars universe. He's more calculated than just go off instinct like Anakin or Hera.

He'd probably make for one hell of an aggressor/adversary pilot
Tech's totally gonna go down in local legend. A human in a sport populated entirely by droids and non-humans who shows up at the literal last minute before proceeding to break all the rules and somehow win despite the odds. After that, he leaves and never comes back, leaving a whole lot of questions as to who that mysterious racer was, where he came from, and where he was going. You bet they'll be telling stories about him for years.

Tech isn't technically just a human. He's a human clone, just like every other Jango Fett clones.

I love how he's very intelligent, but also a badass. When others doubts him, he ends up proving them wrong.

Best character in the series, you can tell he's not used to that much adoration. Humility is strength.
Imagine if they made this into a sequel to the Pod Racing game from many many years back? Would be fairly Wipeout inspired but that's fine considering that is a well liked series.
I just watched this episode when I looked it up here and I'm glad I did. I'd say this race is the new pod racing in terms of popularity and it was so cool to see tech using his skills and knowledge to his advantage! Definitely added to my favorites

I loved this episode. I loved how Tech was in the spotlight as I felt in season 1, he and Echo didn't have much to do, so I'm happy in this season, they're getting more screen time and more to do! Tech is my favourite member and seeing him in the spotlight was awesome! I was so happy for him when the crowd cheered his name! I was like "GO ON, TECH!" Hope we get an episode that focuses on Echo too.

Me too. It's too suspicious that his goggles were found but not his body. He either escaped or has been captured. My main fear is that Hemlock is keeping his brain in a jar to use similar to how the techno union was using Echo.

The whole season does. All those moments: his potential relationship with Phee, his heart to heart with and bonding with Omega, and of course this entire Tech centric episode. In retrospect the foreshadowing seems rather obvious. Makes moments like this even more heartbreaking.

I'll miss Tech, apart from brains, he was also a character I felt identified with. So long, soldier.
You said it! It's been a week since I watched that episode and I'm _still_ in mourning. Not to mention I opened Tumblr, like, two weeks prior to that, got spoiled accidentally, and STILL wasn't ready. Couldn't even focus and failed a quiz because of it...😭😭😭
Part of me is in hope that he is alive... I dont know how but I REFUSE to accept he is dead until I see the body.
this episode is Tech at his best; applying his enhanced Intelligence trait, technical know-how, and the team's problem-solving skills to this situation, part of the reason he's one of my favorite characters and can resonate with him a lot
Tech has easily become my favorite squad member this season.

I loved this episode! I was not expecting much but I love it when a minor character finally gets some much needed spotlight
From being bullied by the announcer to being idolised by the crowd after winning. So much I love about that scene.
Also the tune during the race genuinely gives me Ratchet and Clank vibes.
Tech is so freaking cool! I'm glad he got more spotlight, but especially showing his piloting skills. I don't know what they batch is gonna do without him if he's actually dead. He's their main pilot, medic, generally hacker and makes them fake IDs. They had to re-adjust to Crosshair being gone, but Tech would be irreplaceable.
What's more saddening was that Tech never got to see Crosshair return to the group.

He is such a good pilot. He flies the Marauder and does all kinds of crazy stuff, this here was a piece of cake for him 🥰🥰
I swear the only two beings I'm aware of with better reflexes then tech are Anakin and crosshair
Hunter, well, basically all Jedi, maybe Wrecker? Hera, sabine.
There are a lot of people with better reflexes than Tech, but he makes up for that with his intelligence, no need to react fast if you already know what is coming.
Loved this episode, Tech finally got some development and the soundtrack was amazing! Kevin Kiner is a MASTER. I also love how throughout the whole season the soundtrack has evolved and has similar vibes to the one we got in the arc of Mandalore in CW season 7. Blade Runner vibes.

I loved this episode tech is my favorite bad batcher and the episode reminds me of the pod racing from phantom menace, also tao (cid’s droid) is voiced by Ben Schwartz who is best know for voicing Dewey in ducktales 2017 and Sonic in the live action Sonic movies
What I love about this scene is how it shows how smart Tech is. I feel like for a while, we as the audience were just told he was smart, but here, we were shown he was smart. He ditched his weapons to pick up speed and was able to built enough speed to take on the broken, yet fastest tunnel. Man, what a truly great character.

Given what actually happened I think it’s more akin to bagging items, smuggling a golden mushroom to the right place for an impossible shortcut, and then dodging a green shell from 3rd and making it hit 1st, then passing them both.

It's sad to come back to see this episode, where we finally get to see a Tech-centric storyline just to lead to the fact that Cid betrayed them which inevitably led to Tech's death
Meanwhile Rampart is hitting his head against his desk after watching that race knowing Clone Force 99 survived the Destruction of Tipoca City
I get that it couldn't have been pod racing because Anakin was the only human who could do it...... but it should have been Pod Racing. 😅
