Bitcoin is a powerful hype nowadays, but the real breakthrough is the technology behind it: the Blockchain.
As the Internet changed the world in the 90s, Blockchain will do the same in the next years.
This is also the case for start-ups, which will have the option to raise money through ICOs (Initial Coin Offerings, similar to IPOs in trading) and bypass the strict regulations of Venture Capitalists and banks.
An increasing number of start-ups will then have access to funds, this leading to a sort of “democratization of creativity”: finally, more and more dreams can come true.
LK Shelley has over 17 years of international experience in the US, EU and Asia/JP. She participated in investments from 5 to 900 M$ and exited a couple of ventures of her own.
LK Shelley is the Managing Partner at Affiniti Ventures|AV(M), which collectively invests in early stage mobile first startups including technology, platforms, digital media and entertainment, content as well as mobile gaming.
