@@galinagegg8461 remember you can simply wipe off the Pitt pens with a wet cloth or paper towel. So you can literally erase them and start over if you want to (assuming you applied the sealer underneath). Being able to wipe away and start again is magical!

I know this is an older video, but your talent amazes and inspires me. I have been binge watching all your videos. I’m almost 40 and feel like I’m much too old and not talented or creative enough to make beautiful art like this. But I still have the desire and may not give up yet....

No I spray in my garage with the door wide open to the outside. The spray doesn't settle on the ground if you're careful (I do put drop clothes down just in case)! My husband would have my head. Lol!
I enjoy videos with voice overs MUCH better than the music. I am usually doing other things on my computer while I 'watch videos'. I love listening to you and a few other UA-camrs carry on about what you're doing on the project and just other tid bits about your lives, tips, etc. It allows me to go to other tabs if I need to without missing out on anything good! I know everyone is different, but personally, I tend to skip over the music/caption videos unless I'm extra interested in seeing how that particular project came together. I LOVE your stuff. And I will take whatever we get though. Thanks!!!!!

Pamela Howell ok good to know!! I use, quite literally, any and all brands of spray paint. Actually, let me correct that. The cheaper the better. Only two times I splurged on expensive Liquitex brand and both times they clogged instantly. Urgh!!!!!! So now I only use the cheap stuff at the hardware store and it works GREAT!!

surg tek I buy them all over the place. I have a Tuesday Morning close to my house and they always have them there for cheap! I do not make my own stencils. If I have to then I use my laminater so that the plastic is strong and permanent.

I'm now excited to try. 😀 I also think that you are so very awesome in that you actually take the time to answer comments individually. I can only imagine that this takes a lot of time away from your art and your family. I just wanted to tell you how appreciative I am that you share so much of yourself with us. I do hope that it is not too burdensome for you. I vote for the voice overs, and I also love the captions, too. I do have one question, though. At (10:35) your caption says that the Pitt pens erase, but I think that you are using a black Posca pen at that time, and that it is the one being erased at about (10:39) or so. I am just starting out, so I need to be frugal in buying supplies. I already have a set of Pitt black pens, but do I also need to get the Posca pens to be able to erase? Are both Pitt pens and Posca pens eraseable on a slick surface?

it makes me sad when I see Posca paint pens used lately....I finally got just a few (mainly got a pack for the fine tip white and black) alas they are crap and didn't work for me. they are already ruined. I can't get any fine tip paint pens to work and I wanted to have them on hand for mixed media pieces like these. :-( *tear*
kanona0115 why did they not work for you? The only thing I can think of is that maybe you used then over wet paint? Wet paint will kill any marker (no matter if it is a paint marker or not) in seconds. Make sure when you're working you dry each and every layer with a heat gun or hair dryer super duper well before you go in with your paint pens!! You should be able to use them for a very long time that way. I AM SO SORRY!!! Super bummer that happened to you!!!

Never thought to use matte medium to activate the stabilos.. would clear gesso do the same thing?

Wendy Stapleton I so thought I replied but now I dont see it?!? So weird! So YES! Stabilo (which make pens and pencils, I use the pencils here) pencils are SUPER crazy watersoluble and so therefore super crazy FUN!! Yes thank you the book is my heart and soul!! Still waiting for Amazon.com to pick it up but it is officially available! And I'll have it in my Etsy shop soon!
Where do u get your stencils? Are they all premade? What material do u recommend for home made stencils?
surg tek I buy them all over the place. I have a Tuesday Morning close to my house and they always have them there for cheap! I do not make my own stencils. If I have to then I use my laminater so that the plastic is strong and permanent.

I vote for the voice overs, and I also love the captions, too. I do have one question, though. At (10:35) your caption says that the Pitt pens erase, but I think that you are using a black Posca pen at that time, and that it is the one being erased at about (10:39) or so. I am just starting out, so I need to be frugal in buying supplies. I already have a set of Pitt black pens, but do I also need to get the Posca pens to be able to erase? Are both Pitt pens and Posca pens eraseable on a slick surface?

I generally use matte medium UNTIL you showed me that you can use Mod Podge. It's my new craft crack.

it makes me sad when I see Posca paint pens used lately....I finally got just a few (mainly got a pack for the fine tip white and black) alas they are crap and didn't work for me. they are already ruined. I can't get any fine tip paint pens to work and I wanted to have them on hand for mixed media pieces like these. :-( *tear*
kanona0115 why did they not work for you? The only thing I can think of is that maybe you used then over wet paint? Wet paint will kill any marker (no matter if it is a paint marker or not) in seconds. Make sure when you're working you dry each and every layer with a heat gun or hair dryer super duper well before you go in with your paint pens!! You should be able to use them for a very long time that way. I AM SO SORRY!!! Super bummer that happened to you!!!
