this feature would benefit structural engineers very well as we try to come up with structural members like columns and beams, looking below enables one to see where the rooms are on lower floor and decide where column and beam positions are appropriate and also enables one to look up and see the roof outline and develop system of support for the roof.
Hey thank you for the tutorial, but is there an option like this in section view? I come from an Archicad background and am looking for an option similar to the Virtual Trace Reference. Is there such a tool in Revit if you know?
Unfortunately there is not. It would be a bit weird to be able to see a section view as an underlay behind another section view. I do see the use though more from the standpoint of have an exterior elevation view and having a section underlayed.
