These guys are changing the whole metal rock scene, and I love how they’re super talented metal artists that don’t take themselves so seriously. It’s so refreshing in this genre we love so much.
I'd say it's way less of a percentage than that. Some bands take themselves WAY too seriously. The great thing about Eskimo Callboy is that they take their music seriously, but don't take themselves seriously at all, which is a perfect combo.
@@TankTheTech Knowing that you about a month and a half later, actually got employed by them for the US Tour makes this comment kind of funny, but still awesome.
Have you listened to their unofficial song “Welcome to Raveland”? They produced it in a pretty short time as a challenge in an interview. Just search for it, someone cut it out ☺️
It's just a great show concept. Very fun to see the various bands running around collecting sounds and creating a song from them. Shows a bit of their creation process and how they think and come up with stuff. Most of the bands are probably not known to Tank and i can't recall if they have english captions, but it would be nice to see him look into it. EC's raveland was great and so was Deichkind's episode imo.

I see that time and time again that metal musicians are really talented. That they have no problem changing Genres and still rocking it. EC is a prime example for this.
See that guitar guy on the right? I don't know too much about the band, but i have seen some stuff by now. My theory is that he is an absolute genius when it comes to arranging/composing/recording and producing. He is the mastermind.
@tankthetech. I think you have to check the acustic version of "Prism" - (Eskimo Callboy - Prism (acoustic version) - taken from "RADIO BOB! - Ein Tag für die Festivalhelden")
I love this so much. It's legitimately a different song, or at the very least a massively reimagined version. Thanks for doing this one, Tank. As always, a pleasure.
It takes a skilled artist to do multiple genres, it takes really impressive and incredible artists to do the same freaking song in different genres, and make it just as good! Dang those dudes got skills!

Ahhhhhh, yes. EC definitely Pump It with the Acoustic version. They really are putting in a new effort into this album. It's going to be sick when it finally drops man. 🤘🏻🇺🇸
Great video, thank you for showing! I didn't notice, that this video was uploaded by EC. And now: Make new experiences with other music: Alligatoah - Nachbeben. But please get the lyrics before. Alligatoah is one of the most talented singer with Rap influences, i know. Literally on point and really high quality. Sounds and songs compinated with high class double meanings and art. I really love music by Alligatoah, like music by Rammstein. It's a different music, but literally and the way of art is comporable.
I enjoy this version of Pump It and Tank you have to check out Welcome To Raveland which is another song that EC did and they also went through creative process of making the song
Thanks for sharing all your knowledge. It´s like a fucking great music lesson watching your videos. You are the best! Stay safe and all the best to you and your lovely family.
This reminds me of the acoustic version of Ghule/Zombie Queen by Ghost in the sense that they are not only a cover but a complete reimagination, those could actually have been 2 different songs. I think that feeling is stronger with this one though.
I agree. When you really just listen to the music you start to notice their talent even more. In the beginning I was just laughing my ass off to their videos (and still do). 😄🤘🏻 Sidenote: that Kid of Darkness mask looks sooo freakin good in the background! 🔥

There is a symphonic metal band from germany called Beyond the Black with their own songs. But in 2020 they had a bet with the founder of Wacken Open Air where they recorded 4 acoustic covers of metal songs from other bands within 48 hours and then uploaded the videos to UA-cam one song every Sunday before Christmas 2020. It also became an EP, might be something for you to check out
Just had a random moment of inspiration. You've mentioned before that you play bass. It would be awesome if you did a Bass 101 series of videos for people who want to learn how to play bass guitar.
Hey tank...Btw there 2 more versions of 'pump it'. One by Velvet (what is in a 80s synti style) and one by harris & ford (what is more techno style). They are also released at the EC channel. I think the Velvet one you would like too.
unbelievable what kind of run the guys have. whatever they do is fine. I think after the ESC, Germany will have a really big fish in the pond again after the Scorpions or Rammstein.
wow...is there anything they cannot do?. I am glad you decided to do the reaction :) By the way, your outro is still the same but I thought dislikes where removed from youtube?
It took me by surprise too the first time I heard this, and I loved it. This guys are something else. Btw, Tank, and changing the subject a little. There's new music by Amorphis, they released a new video some weeks ago, it's called "The Moon", don't know if you already checked it out, just letting you know. Have a great day, Man.
Tank you have to have to have to her their acoustic "prism" I am now convinced that ec can play whatever the hell they want much like Devin Townsend. I heard this and this is a beautiful acoustic version and I think you may love this song as well
Similar sentiment to Justin Hawkins' (Darkness) review/reaction of Pump It, whose point was to make fun of something you have to be quite good at that something and those guys are. Now, Justin Hawkins doing an Eskimo Callboys reaction video and loving it backs up your other point about their potential to blow up beyond their core audience... He called them the savior of metalcore, a cure for taking itself too seriously )))
Very versatile musicians and creativity is the first word that comes to mind to describe this guys. Harmonies of the two voices are top notch! For me, it's just variety of content on the channel. There are times where I feel I don't need to do every single thing that a band uploads, and because I had already heard the original version of "Pump It", I feel like I didn't need to react to a live one. But this is basically an entirely new song, so I'm glad I did it!

According to the official lyrics, it's "bitch". And I had a conversation with Kevin recently about it, and he was explaining the context of the lyrics. "Kill it" is popular phrase in the US that also means "get it done" or something similar, and saying "kill that bitch" is basically an aggressive way of saying "crush it" or "get it done".
Been listening to Eisbrecher for quite a few years. Even used one of their songs as the background music in the first Eskimo Callboy reaction I ever did.
These guys are changing the whole metal rock scene, and I love how they’re super talented metal artists that don’t take themselves so seriously. It’s so refreshing in this genre we love so much.
“talented musicians not taking themselves seriously” is like 75% of metal subgenres, I’d say everything but black and prog metal.
I'd say it's way less of a percentage than that. Some bands take themselves WAY too seriously.
The great thing about Eskimo Callboy is that they take their music seriously, but don't take themselves seriously at all, which is a perfect combo.
