Just visited Budapest end of November into December. Amazing city and some really amazing people. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking to travel through Europe.
Yay! My daughter just moved to Budapest! From Washington State. She loves it so far. She lives near the Austrian Embassy. Her flat is old and beautiful and costs much less than the one in Vancouver. We also had a Hungarian exchange student years ago, so they have already had a visit together.
My father escape Hungary in 1956 to flee the Communists... The last time I visited Hungary was in the 1970s as a child . My biggest regret is not learning to speak the Hungarian language. If I did I would move there in a instant. Such a beautiful country.
My grandfather (president of a Hungarian association in the US during that time) helped thousands of Hungarian refugees find jobs, housing, etc, in his area. Some of them stayed with my mom's family when needed.
my grandfather also escaped in 1956 as he was on the kill list for being in the police resistance force at 18, made a fantastic life for himself in the UK as a chief hospital engineer for norfolk
My grandma was Hungarian. Her mom moved her to the U.S. when she was a young girl but she still remembered how to speak it. I want to visit there so bad.

What a new year's surprise! I've been following your channel since before day 1. I'm Hungarian born, living in Australia for 20 yrs now. This gives me a rollercoaster of emotions. Thanks Brett for the nostalgia and your fresh perspective. Best wishes for 2024!
Just visited Budapest end of November into December. Amazing city and some really amazing people. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking to travel through Europe.
As a Hungarian, I’m really happy that you’re in my home country! ❤
It's a beautiful place under VIctor Orban!!
As a hungarian, i do not. Stay in Fort Lauderdale. Or Cali, Nothing here for civilized westerns. Go play multi culit in London.
I visited Budapest this year for the first time. A beautiful city with nice people. I loved it!
Wow, Budapest looks so beautiful. I love the old architecture

Well, you find plenty of it while being in Hungary, I’d encourage you to visit us sometimes 😊
Typical European country.
Budapest is one of my FAVOURITE places ever. My mother is Hungarian so the country has a very special place in my heart 🇭🇺
Lived in Budapest for a summer 10 years ago. Absolutely loved the place. It really is one of the great cities of Europe.
My father fought in that war against the invaders. You owe it to yourself to visit. The museum of terror will haunt you.
You still can!
Everyone in this comment section has such beautiful stories
Come back when it's late spring.
Then the country is just WOW
More a day in life with Brett, I like to see Brett just doing normal stuff, also she looks so pretty in those dresses.

My grandma was Hungarian. Her mom moved her to the U.S. when she was a young girl but she still remembered how to speak it. I want to visit there so bad.
Brett is now 10 times closer to where I live than before. Blessings to my Hungarian brothers & sisters. 🇵🇱❤🇭🇺
So weird seeing Budapest again (I visited Budapest in August). One of the coolest places I've ever been at.
I never realized how beautiful of a city Budapest is. I will have to add that to my list of travel destinations when I retire from the Army next year.
Dont get me wrong, its a beautiful place but there are some parts of it where you definitely dont want to go. (not as bad as hoods in the us but quite close)
Damn, I found his video 9 months too late. I first came to Budapest in 1995, then left in 2007 for the Middle East for seven years and I have been back since 2014. I love living in Budapest it is a beautiful city to live in.
Glad to see you in Budapest! A great city it is. 2 weeks ago I moved out from Budapest back to my home town to take care of my sick mother, but I lived in Budapest 23 years and left my son there! Hope you enjoy the city!
Tears when you wrote you found THE dress! SO HAPPY FOR YOU 🥰
I have always wanted to visit Budapest, you've convinced me to visit because you've shown the local vibe so beautifully. My family is from the original Bohemia; I think it is where Prague is now so maybe I can travel all over.
As a Hungarian who lives in BP this felt strange, the places I walk around daily looked much better through your lens, it gave me a fresh perspective. I'm happy you found Budapest and Hungary to your liking and enjoyed your stay here, I just wish I could've met you for a quick pic! 😂🎉
This video honestly just…made me happy.
Happy as in happy to be able to share more or less the same memories with you!
I’ve always loved to be a Hungarian for our history and infinite source of sour and dark humor, and it warms my heart to see people find Budapest pretty just as is, no facades really.
We used to live in Poland and loved the people, their amazing culture, and country!. Loved visiting Budapest…during Ester you absolutely must go out of town to a community that relives Easter in a period 100+ years ago. How we were welcomed into that cultural experience. It was not too far outside the city and well worth it!!
Thank you from Poland 🤍❤
You visited Hollókő? Cool!😁
as a fellow young 20 year old (21), I just got married a few weeks ago and the wedding dress montage really touched my heart. so happy for Brett and I wish her and her fiancé the absolute day of their dreams
It is so weird to see my home city being shown in a video of yours. Also, I just realized after watching this video, that I have gotten used to the sirens, but they aren't gone, I just haven't noticed them.
I finally found a fellow hungarian 👋
@@kalo_w1Hello my Hungarian brother
Brett, I love your video about Budapest where I live too. You are really getting the essence of this great city. One of the good things we have here in this country is wine. My wife and i are running a wine bar on the Buda side of the town and wish i had known earlier that you are/were here, my wife Kristina and i would have loved to invite you guys for a Hungarian wine tasting session. If you are still around, or will return and would like to come over, just let me know. Enjoy your time and thank you for what you and daily wire are doing for freedom of speech in the US.
This just popped up in my recommended, but I’m so glad it did. I’m an American that got married in Budapest this summer! It’s beautiful!
The architecture in that city is exceptional. At some point in my life I need to go visit and experience the sights for myself.
Love Budapest been there twice and it's one of the best cities I've been to in Europe

I don't know about FF but possible she means MF MagasFöldszint which means high ground floor / mezzanine floor

I am so excited to see the wedding dress Brett picked out! She looked so beautiful in the ones she tried on, so I can’t even imagine how stunning THE dress will be!
When I saw her in the first dress I thought the wonderful Snow White had arrived. :-)
Im American living here in Budapest, with my Hungarian husband. Been here for almost 4 years now. When i moved here it was such a culture shock to for real! But ive grown to love this country, this city, and these people! Ive truly found my home in the world! 😁💗
I went to Budapest in February, that place is magical. At night it is like being in a john wick movie and during the day it has the best elements of europe with all the cool architecture. Low taxes too. I have some friends there, if i find a good job i am definately living there.
The average monthly pay in Hungary is about 1,000.- Euro which is around 1,100.- Dollars U.S.
@@Chanharpok, but the prices (the cost of living) are also a lot cheaper and by mentioning Budapest, the city is over EU-average in GDP/per capita if I’m not mistaken.

My favorite part of the video was keeping THE wedding dress out of view, so that your future husband wouldn't see it before the wedding! Very cool touch!! Best wishes from Serbia! Visit Subotica sometime, has a similar vibe as Hungary😊
Wonder why the similar vibe

What a beautiful city honestly!!! I loved how you spent your day. God bless you girl
I am so jealous. I'm Hungarian and would give anything to be able to go. I have severe fibromyalgia and spinal issues, so it is my goal to get to Budapest while I can still walk on my own.

My first time in Hungary was in 2012; I have come back maybe once every two years ever since. I have visited almost all big Hungarian cities.
Budapest is very safe, except for the 16th district I would say.
Hungarians are naturally quite aloof but once you get it, everything is fine! they are very obliging people.
Note: my biggest cultural shock was the Komondor. If you don't know what it is, look it up. So adorable.
+8th district
@@riveraharper8166 the 8th district has one of the most beautiful part of Budapest, called the 'Palace Quarter', Palota Negyed. Much nicer than anything in the 6th or 7th district. I live in Horanszky utca, I would never move away from there. If you know a bit of history, you would know that the '56 revolution started in the 8th district and as a punishment, comrade kadar let many gypsies settle there.

You can say the same about any city really.
San Francisco, California.
Worst place to be right now, not only because the crime rates, but because the air quality, and more businesses closing because of the taxes and insecurity they are facing, it simply doesn't suffices.
@@saulgoodman2018 But, if you're referring to European cities, there are a lot of examples of insecurities and poor air quality as well.

My last name is Toth, which means Slovak in Hungarian. Slovakia was formed in 1992. Hungary was formed in 899.
I feel like it was a historical accident how Slovakia and Hungary ended up separately. I say this as a Hungarian whose family was 100% Slovakian 4 generations ago.

From her interview with Iced Coffee hour it seems she has been working since she was like 11. She's also had more traditional jobs she held for years so it's not like she does it because she CAN'T have a traditional job.

Look, I like Brett. But let's not pretend that if UA-camrs fell off the face of the Earth that we would suffer for it. She has a NICE job where she gets to be filmed talking about topics most people discuss on a daily basis and occasionally acts. That is without mentioning the fact that she gets to do international travel more than what most people get to do in their life time.
@@aubreezily13 Well, it's clear she had a pretty big impact on the Dailywire. So for that we are thankful, their content has improved since Brett blew up in popularity. Probably changed how the others approached things.

Cool video! I was travelling most of Europe throughout 2023, and after 11 or so countries I have, time and time again, have said without a doubt that Budapest is one of the best cities I’ve ever explored and experienced. It’s like having 2 unique cities in 1. Go taste langos, have some goulash, hike up the castles, go up the bastion, try out the baths, dont miss the galleries, the church - just so much! And apart from the New York Cafe - everything else should be relatively affordable!
and visit the OperaHouse. In Hungary a visit to the Opera (or Erkel Ferenc Theatre) is not for the rich, privileged people.
Happy New Year, Brett! God bless you, and your loved ones! 🎆
