Would like to know your opinion on some principles of astrology 1) Saturn and Jupiter take 2.5 and 1 year to transverse one rashi and there are 12 rashis multiply both we get 30 years and 12 years to complete one cycle suggesting Saturn and Jupiter take that many years to complete one cycle around sun 2)Rashis are assigned some elements like Saturn has rashis associated with gas and earth, Suggesting gaseous atmosphere with a earth (solid) core

Vedic Astrology is not meant to do Predictive wisdom. Vedic Astrology itself says you should not do prediction. Prediction is not at all Goal. Astrology is used in Diagnostic and study of behavior and characteristics of a person. Whereas you are thinking it is Predictive Science. Astrology is to do more of inference and interpretation not to do conclusions. I'm most fond of science, but I think you have read only Science books and engrossed only within logical science not multidimensional thinking.
While I never trust nor like astrology, I often used to lean towards it earlier. But the nail in the coffin came when I had applied for universities for masters and I got back to back rejects and had lost hopes. Then our neighbors came to us. He is an astrologer. He said stars are not with me and I won't be able to do master's yet. It not only pissed me off but given the state I was in, it completely broke me. Cannot forget how pissed I was at my parents for calling him. Fortunately one university accepted me and now I have completed my master's degree. That day onwards, whenever someone speaks about astrology to me, I shut him up. Had I believed in that shit, I would have never grown to be what I am today.
It thrives because people who face some crisis especially mid life crisis become clueless and meet them as recommended by someone. Then starts their manipulation.
I was in relationship with my girlfriend for 3years. Parents checked with 6 different astrologers and all of them predicted that I would die within 3-6 months of marriage. Also, I would lose wealth. Back then I used to be a believer and I too was scared. I started to learn more about my religion and at some point I felt it was illogical and cringe. I started my journey as an atheist. 15 months after marriage, our net worth grew and I'm still alive 🥂 P.s. I didn't do any remedies the astrologer asked to do.
@@ScienceSimplifiedAcademy Sorry that you had to go through that. I understand how hard it might have felt. At some point, because of parents pressure, we too felt like giving up. I just believed that she is the one for me and tried to research more and find reasons to be with her. That's when I came across many great atheist content creators. They widened my thoughts and made me realize how stupid it is to leave someone you love over society, horoscope and other petty cultural reasons. Now we both are atheists and our lives have never been better. I hope you are feeling better now and get all the happiness you deserve!

Last year went searching for that guy and found him long dead. I just to give him some sweets on the occasion of my 10th anniversary.
On the other hand, my friend was told his kundali (horoscopes ) matched perfectly with his wife's horoscope. Astrologer said they will have happy and understanding life for ever. Once a astrologer told me I am gonna be a doctor and luckily I am studying medicine but now the same guy tells me I am gonna be engineer and he specified “software”
To a believer, any attack on Astrology doesn't make sense because their personal astrologer is supposed to surpass all boundaries of common sense itself. If you finally debunk a particular Astrologer as well, then they'll just find another one. But anyways, astrology was a topic I had been waiting for, and this is the best video debunking it from an Indian perspective. I addition to all that you said, you could've added the fact that the position of stars in the night sky also changes very slowly over time which means that Astrology can never be a universal law. Lastly, I really get a lot of Vsauce vibes from this channel and you're doing a great job, just keep making quality content that you enjoy yourself.
Thanks a lot man :) Hope to improve along the way. Also yes in fact the sky is different now than when the constellations were first devised. For example all zodiac constellations have shifted by one constellation. I mention this in the video :)
@@scienceisdope It's not just about shifting, over a significant amount of time, the constellations won't even closely resemble anything because all stars would be moving in *different* directions. But really, as you said, all this nuance is exactly like beating a dead horse, astrology can be debunked in more ways than the number of people that subscribe to it.
It's sad that such pseudoscience is not just flourishing but is looked upon with utmost respect leading to these crooks warning millions by doing literally nothing
great work on the research! only one recommendation, avoid calling people 'dumb' who fall for pseudo-science. They are driven by fear, so we need to alleviate that fear with a better alternative. Caaling them dumb or stupid would just shut them out completely, hence making no difference in their belief system.
True. Good research indeed but calling people dumb here, is a bit insensitive. Humans in distress like to cling on to hope thru prayers and positive predictions. An IISc scientist from my family recovered from a chronic illness, while I believe it was medical science... His mother believes it was due to blessings of Amma Bhagwan (a couple in South); my relative spends insane amount of money on Amma Bhagwan, which onlookers find stupid, but for him it is the least he can do to keep his mother happy (his mother had donated her kidney to him). So there are many such factors that have kept the astrology industry thrive.

The biggest prediction fails of astrology was when an astrologer told me that there's a danger of my life getting ruined by a girl in my higher secondary years.. Guess what, I'm a second year college student and am still looking for that girl who'd ruin my life. There's no sign of her yet...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Back in 1991 , some days before Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated , a lot of famous astrologers were invited by the magazine "The Illustrated weekly of India" to make their predictions about his future, and without exception ALL of them predicted that he was going to become India's next prime minister. Several of them even said that Rajiv had a "raj yog" and so would remain the prime minister of India for a long time to come. None of them predicted his assassination or even a threat to his life. A few days later , Rajiv was dead and after some time had passed , some of them started to claim that they had seen a threat to his life and had warned about it. If someone can access the archives of May 1991 editions of the illulstrated weekly of India they can verify the same. I have personally read it and the magazine's then editor Kushwant Singh had pointed it out as well.

Even seeing some horoscopes astrologers tell that this person is going to have extra marital affair in future .....if you don’t agree with them they will tell you that so and so celebrities have this combination....so and so adult stars having this combination.
Astrology and horoscope have become shit because of too much traffic around them, everyone who can look like an astrologer is predicting future. But this doesn't mean that astrology is wrong or the pre-marriage compatibility calculations are wrong. Earlier people used to match a lot of things to negate any possibility of same blood marriage. But, I don't have any information about Mangal dosh as of now to prove it's legitimacy. Even then i would say that astrology is not fake, astrologers who have knowledge of the subject just don't come on tv or newspaper to tell you your future.

Nice Video. I can illustrate another example of how flawed vedic astrology is. Vedic Astrology goes by Date of Birth, Place of Birth and Time of Birth and the horoscope changes drastically for every 15 minutes. I tested it with an astro software. So if you take the case of twins, who are born with a few seconds, minutes difference, accordingly they should have similar lives or at least similar timelines but we know that twins don't have similar lives or similar timelines. Vedic Astrology goes by a lot of general predictions, like Mars in 7th house is cursed for matrimony; when it coincides, you feel it's right. Therefore creating some kind of illusion in your mind to corroborate. I think all of us need to be extremely careful with this destiny changing business, it's dangerous and psychologically damaging. Best way to predict the future is to invent it :)
And it contributes to the popularity of pseudoscience which harms people with fake alternative meds and political ideologies. Check out other videos on the channel bro. I think you'll like them :) And please help by sharing so more people have access to this information :)

I had a discussion with my friends who are all my batchmate doctors, on astrology. Most of them were surprised by me calling Astrology pseudoscience. I just put 3 questions in front of them. 1. Why are navgrahas given so much importance in astrology. 2. What is the nature of this energy that connects planets to human bodies and has such a massive impact on our lives. 3. What should be considered the time of birth in case of C-sections, which are manipulable. Why is the time of conception and formation of zygote not considered for astronomy. 4. I asked them to show me any prediction that went right. No satisfactory answer from any of them and i was kind of dismissed for my grilling of the supposed ancient wisdom.

Some nice points made, but! I gotta disagree here. You know, I was just an atheist/agnostic/skeptical like you and then I got introduced to astrology. Instead of listening to what the science and logic has to say about it I decided to jump into it, learn about it, and try to see if it can predict anything about myself. Remember, all the logic, all the proof are nothing against practical experiment and results. If it's working, it is working, the Universe is not compelled to make sense to you. And no points for guessing, it actually worked for me. After learning to read the chart properly I found out that it can actually predict many things about my personality. And NO! They were not barnum statements, I know cause I was aware of them before I dove into astrology. I hope you will agree that "You will be a good singer" "You will be an atheist/skeptic" are not barnum statements. Now, you must be thinking that oh, he doesnt seem to be an atheist. Well, astrology predicted that as well, my kundali said that I will change my opinions about God/Spiritualism frequently. Which I do.... Also, predicting the future is very hard and only expert astrologers can do it. If doctors fail to save a patient do you say that oh! the medical science doesnt work! NO! You don't say that you say that maybe doctor wasnt good enough or the case was very hard. In the same manner, sometimes astrologers do make wrong predictions but they are not always wrong. For example, when I started digging into astrology my mom told me that once she went to an astrologer and the first thing he said after looking at my dad's kundali was - "DID U BUY ANY PROPERTY IN 2004?" I was shocked because it did actually happen.... She also told me that he predicted a child's death correctly (gave the exact date). Please consider these points and tell me what do you think... Trust me, I want astrology to be proven wrong more than anyone else in this world, because it challenges my atheism. But it just keeps on proving that it has got some substance... EDIT: I also, asked one of my friend to give me his dob, time, and place (remember time of birth is very important) and I tried to predict something about him from my limited knowledge of astrology. The first thing I said about him was "You don't have good relations with your dad" (funny thing is I was afraid of getting ridiculed coz I always thought that he had good relations with his father) but to my surprise he agreed and said you are right me and my dad always fight, argue about something and our view points dont match....
Thanks man for the comment :) I love to be a part of civil disagreements like this because it promotes discourse. And hearing contrasting points of view helps you not fall prey to confirmation bias. My rebuttal: I would say predictions like "you will be a good singer" or "you'll keep changing your opinions about God" are too general and apply to too many people. For instance, the latter applies to me because there was a period when I kept shuttling back and forth on my position on God. The same goes for "you don't have good relations with your dad". It's way too general. Don't most people our generation have disagreements/fights with parents? The predictions you mentioned about buying property in 2004 and predicting the date of someone's death sound like very specific predictions. Even I've heard several predictions like these(and miracles in alternative medicine). But they're always second hand. Just like how you mentioned that it was your mother that told you this. There are many small details that are lost when information transfers hands. So I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that astrology works just because of this. I won't jump to the conclusion the predictions are wrong either, but we can both agree that we should examine this further before drawing conclusions.
@@scienceisdope yes i would advise you to learn reading charts and give it a try on yourself :) about the points that you have made, trust me i have taken care of all these logical fallacies that a common man commits, as i said i was an atheist and i have ridiculed astrologers in the past, it even cost me friendship with some people. So you can understand what kind of atheist i was. But just because I like science and logic, I can't deny the truth that is in front of me, no matter how unscientific it sounds. Also, about my mom, she is a skeptic herself she doesnt worship any god or believe in any kind of ancient rituals and shit. so i can believe in the info i got from her.
@@easytutorials6412 Hello Rahul. I hope you are doing well. Brother I would disagree with your point of view because of few reasons. You started by saying that instead of listening towhat science and logic had to say you jumped into it and so on. Bro, if you have already discarded logic then wouldn't that expose you to being a victim of confirmation bias? You will not be able to evaluate things properly. More or less that's how even faith in religion works, i.e. without logic. And please once again remember correlation does not imply causation. Now, if I make a random prediction of someone's death tomorrow and if it comes true, would I be accurate all the time? And will that mean that my prediction had a logical reasoning behind it? Well, my answer is no. And one more important thing to consider is that no one has explained is that how does planets and stars affect us. They fail to give the reason behind it, all they do is give statements like it will have positive or negative impact on us. And the most surprising thing is that those effects can be changed after a small Pooja or ceremony (and some cash and clothes for Pandits). Now allow me to make 2 statements. 1) I have constant disagreements with my wife all the time and we argue a lot. 2)I love my wife a lot and is willing to anything and everything for her. Now they may sound contradictory. But both are 100% accurate. First statement is true for me and it could also be true for person going through a divorce. I hope I have explained my point. I don't expect you to agree with it though. Regardless, have a wonderful day.
You don't have much knowledge about Sidereal/Vedic astrology. Your horoscope can change! It's depends totally on you. To change your bad horoscope all you gotta need to do is do good karma and meditate. Cause meditation helps you to control your reactions to emotions so bad planets cannot harm you. @@anuvab4451 no astronomy is the the study of stars and planets, astrology means predicting the future somehow using stars and planets, which is not possible
How Astrology works? Consider the following points: 1. The revolving planets and planetary alignments orchestrates Solar activity where the weak tidal forces of the planets is amplified by Sun’s magnetic field. Resonance is said to play a role here. 2. As a result, there is a formation of sun spots on the surface of sun, because of Solar activity induced by the planets there is a variation or fluctuations in Geomagnetic field which is known to influence a wide variety of organisms. 3. The Geomagnetism is linked to the solar activity, the fluctuations in solar activity causes change in Geomagnetic field variations. 4.Magneto-reception is an ability of an organism to be able to detect Geomagnetic field and able to navigate with the help of geomagnetic field. Organisms are able to detect Geomagnetic field due to magnetic particles present in brains and birds are able to navigate due to cryptochromes present in their eyes which helps in detecting light. 5. Scientists have discovered traces of magnetic particles in human brain particularly in Brain stem,Cerebellum and Cerebrum. Cerebellum is responsible for motor coordination, balance and equilibrium, fine body movements. 6. A study says that Geomagnetic field conditions plays a major role in development of foetus, thus Geomagnetic conditions are responsible for sustaining of life on earth. American Radio Engineer and amateur Astronomer John Henry Nelson discovered that revolving planets and planetary alignments orchestrate Solar activity and thereby affecting the propagation of Radio waves which caused distortion in Radio communication. The discovery of Radio Engineer John Nelson seemed to suggest that alignments of planets with respect to the Sun also had an effect upon Earth. These angles also seem to coincide with Astrological aspects: Opposition- 180 degrees Quincunx- 150 degrees Trine- 120 degrees Square- 90 degrees Sextile- 60 degrees Semi-sextile- 30 degrees In traditional Astrology, the opposition, square and trine aspects are said to be powerful and other aspects are said to be less powerful. Astrologers took keen interest in his discovery. British Astrophysicist and Astronomer Dr. Percy Seymour has written 2 books on Astrology.
So you can predict the future of a person based on magnetic fields? So based on this if I build a powerful magnet and manipulate the magnetic field that I am exposed to, I can control my future? I could even shape my future and others around me right? Lol
@@alanp227 I'm not talking about predictions here, I am talking about the possible Scientific mechanism behind Astrology. Refer to the interview of British Astrophysicist and Astronomer Dr.Percy Seymour available on Google. It is not a video interview, it's a link called cura. As far as I can say Astrological predictions are tough to check whether they are accurate or not. But Dr. Percy Seymour says that some of the Astrological predictions can be Scientifically tested and logically explained.
@@alanp227 My previous reply seems to be deleted. Here is another reply: According to the mathematical theory of resonance, if a system has a natural fre- quency equal to the frequency of an external force then the system will have a large response to that force, but its response lo forces vibrating at any other frequencies will be so minute it can be ignored. This is the whole basis of radio and television systems. Thus, a receiver will respond to the radio waves from the station to which it is tuned and ignore all others. This fact is utilized very frequently by most practicing scientists and engineers. The fre- quency of household equipment differs from that of the lunar daily magnetic variation by a factor of 2 million. By the same line of reasoning we do not have to switch off our radio sets every time we use household equipment because they also differ by a large factor.
@@scienceofastrology2693 mixing science with pseudoscience does not make pseudoscience true. Can you give a direct answer to my question. How does difference stars light years away from us influence a person on earth? How do they decide our future? Are you saying that specific constellations vibrate in specific frequencies and people born on the month of that constellation will also vibrate in that frequency thereby allowing said constellation to influence and dictate their entire life? Just like how radios and tvs can be hijacked with the right set of frequencies, if we figure out our frequency and build a powerful device, can we control our future and of those around us? Also, so far, why haven't any single astrologer predicted and saved people from any natural or man-made disasters?

Time of birth and place of birth matter in Indian astrology. It is a calculation. I was very skeptical about Indian astrology. Then I discovered, from personal experience, that it is the astrologer that matters. Most Indian astrologers are accurate at telling your exact past. But Most are vague about predicting the exact future, which I agree is impossible. My personal experience is that most astrologers are either fake or not knowledgeable. There are a couple of them (random visits to an unknown astrologers, not planned) that astounded me with not just my personal characteristics, but were accurate about my profession, what my parents do for a living, my interests, number of siblings I have etc. I totally agree that people get fooled by astrologers, but I feel that predicting something or reading a horoscope accurately is a gift, acquired only by a select few. True astrologers don't show off and are to the point. Astrology is mysterious and secretive.
_"True astrologers don't show off and are to the point. "_ Astrologers could rake in a hundreds of thousands or a million dollars by demonstrating in skeptics challenges that astrology works. If they don't want the money, they could donate it to children hospitals or the likes. But this is also not worth it it seems. They either don't want to demonstrate their skills in a controlled setting, or they try it and fail. Why is that? Nobody can explain in detail how astrology could work, nobody can provide good evidence that it works.
Some people are good at reading people. There are literal face readers who's job it is to do this. I think it's a tremendous skill but to attribute it to the constellations would be a collosal claim that requires an equally convincing proof. We claim things to be "mysterious" when we don't know much about it, and perhaps much isn't known bcz there isn't much to be known and this is all yet another desparate attempt of humans to find tools to solve our problems and we're filling the logical gaps with our imaginations. I think we do this as a survival instinct, it's not possible to know everything so we make up stories to make the fear of the unknown palatable.
@@cauliflowerhead2735 Only a fool will try to explain what he/she doesn't understand. I don't understand it. Some things are unexplained and mysterious. We are ordinary human beings, not enlightened ones. Logic and science is very important, I agree. But certain things science can't explain, because we haven't fully understood science either. Scientists are still mystified, despite all the laws of physics, how life is possible on earth at all. They only have theories, not concrete explanations. Of course, you are entitled to your foolish opinion.
I know this reply is a bit late but predicting someone's past can be done with certain accuracy. The way a person walks, talks, behaves and what he talks about can reveal a lot about his past to a sharp and cunning mind. Whatever these astrologers determine about someone's can always be traced back to information they gathered from you. For example, if you attempted suicide long ago but now you're talking happily to an astrologer, he won't conclude that you attempted that suicide.

Pranav does mention distinctions between the two. (like the whole different names thing and he is actually libra and not Scorpio part) But Ultimately they are the same.
Kudos Pranav! you have known your audience. I like how you are concentrating on Indian version of astrology. And this is clearly beneficial as you could not have surpassed Dr. Tyson. So now even if anyone searches neutal words (neutral adjective + object) like Indian astrology you are at #2 with other debunks, except if we search vedic astrology this video is nowhere to be seen along with other debunks😔. Next time you should target that! If we search for phrase (negative/doubt type) you are always #1!🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊
What you're trying to do is great, but how you're doing it is far from ideal. You routinely resort to outrightly mocking people who happen to hold these types of beliefs. That's only going to get you a few laugs from people who already think like you, but those who believe in those concepts are psychologically hard-wired to feel compelled to cling on those beliefs more sturdily. Moreover, you say in the video that you will respond to disagreeing comments that are respectful. It's not fair that you expect respect when you're continuously running them down, is it?

If any spiritual sciences in history are not real at all, why do they transform and work for some ppl. I know of ppl that healed their entire health with Ayurveda. And this is a genuine honest question as a young person that is confused about life and it on a journey trying to understanding things. I always loved both science and spirituality and dont jusge either side. I am a very receptive person and just like to learn, so im looking for a real genuine response. Thanks in advance
Well it's not that ayurveda doesn't work at all, it's just not scientifically accurate. Like there can be things that are wrong but still work as an example take the case of wheather things float or sink in water, we were told in childhood that it depends on the density of the object, but later we come to know that it's because of Archimedes Principle. Now as Ayurveda is a quite old concept, it is bound to have some things that work and others that don't. It has some geniune lifestyle advices which can help you, but as it's basic premise is wrong, it would be very hard to identify good advices.
Well honestly I too was confused like u but I do believe aryuveda and astrology both now it's more about experiences I have personally felt astrology in a big way and I have seen my mom recover from health by aryuveda now like always aryuveda is not all good some things are shady and shirty but that does not cancle all the aryuveda being wrong . As far as astrologer I had met a good astrologer and his predicuisn were on point not only past but future lol and I have seen astrology work at other times too so I personally believe but chances are u will find a bad astrologer and would never believe in It which actually is fine it's totally ok it's life and u have your own experiences I am 20yold btw 💀

He don't have any proofs, in wikipedia also there is no such thing. He is just fake guy. If leo and simha are the same. It is imported. Sun day Ravi var is also the same it was also imported. He is saying there is no meaning to vedic. Veda means knowledge. Vidhya, Veda all are derived from the dathu word vidh. Many Sanskrit names and english have common origin. They simply say they are from Latin. For example matha - mother, pithar - father, braatha - brother.
I'm not an atheist , I do worship God, but I don't believe in astrology, yet people think I'm an atheist . Associating a pseudoscience with religion is a wrong thing .

About the precision of equinox, you should have done some BASIC homework, vedic astrology takes precision of equinox into account since thousands of years. Can you also tell how astrologers predict solar eclipse and lunar eclipse since ancient times till now without using telescope??? If possible create a separate video on this thanks
Predicting eclipses doesn’t need astrology. The patterns of how the sun (earth) and moon move are widely known. Simply calculate in how much time they will meet at the same point. These predictions are made even today, and unlike astrology are more than 99% true, with slight error based on the accuracy of our data models. Basically science.
@@kaustubhprakash1273 i am not talking about today's time. I am also a physics teacher 😂so i can certainly calculate it easily, but this is all possible due to powerful telescopes, in ancient times they do not have any telescope or observatory devices so how they get perfect time and date of every solar eclipse every time that's my question
@Juicyyz every religion in this world says earth is stationary and flate sun is revolving around us, but only in Hinduism we say earth is a sphere no one in this world even know what planets are but we still worshipped them since ancient times in forms of dev and Asura. no one in this world even know how sun moves but we still knows how to find perfect timing of it eclipse
@@mayankchauhan5133 Indians - with a bit of knowledge borrowed from the Greeks were quite observant and intelligent at that particular time period (around the Gupta dynasty I think). Again, as I mentioned, I agree as a physics teacher it might be extremely easy to do it compared to those ages, but it is still doable by observing the time periods + movement of the sun and moon. Other religions were misinformed cause their religious texts themselves stated that the world is an Earth-centric model. Indians and the Greeks had the capacity to find and reason for themselves. Also, it wasn't like there weren't discrepancies. But those, discrepancies were quite minor, and the intellectual body keeps improving and accounting for these discrepancies if and when they happen.
@Juicyyz and if you look into the matter you will find Greeks also use nakshatra and zodiac sign very much similar to Indians. it's not about religion or being atheist it's about science which is used in astrology is significantly correct
There is an astrologer called Greenstone Lobo who claimed to be a scientific astrologer, have you checked his content and your opinion about his claims??
This is a spectacular video! Please also make a video on how to explain this to people who are neck deep in astrology. They actually believe Venus is the reason why they'll get stuck in traffic
It is actually not correct that the earth moves. The earth only moves if you watch it from somewhere else, which is just as arbitrary as the earth. In space there is no absolut point of reference around which everything revolves, at least as we know. The sun moves around the earth in the exact same way the earth moves around the sun, it is only more practical if you study our solar system to think in terms of the heliocentric model. However seen from the middle of our galaxy we are actually in a spiral on a large ellipse around that center.
Something moving in an inertial reference frame means something is moving. If all outside forces acts equally on all objects in a frame, we can ignore those forces and consider that frame as inertial. So earth moving/revolving around sun is valid statement as outside forces act on sun and earth equally.

I think you'll like them :)
And please help by sharing so more people have access to this information :)
Can you give some examples of twins that are born with few seconds difference?

@@scienceisdope yes i would advise you to learn reading charts and give it a try on yourself :)
about the points that you have made, trust me i have taken care of all these logical fallacies that a common man commits, as i said i was an atheist and i have ridiculed astrologers in the past, it even cost me friendship with some people.

Astrology is the study of science of stars planets
@@anuvab4451 no astronomy is the the study of stars and planets, astrology means predicting the future somehow using stars and planets, which is not possible
How Astrology works? Consider the following points:
The discovery of Radio Engineer John Nelson seemed to suggest that alignments of planets with
respect to the Sun also had an effect upon Earth. These angles also seem to coincide with Astrological aspects:
Opposition- 180 degrees
Quincunx- 150 degrees
Trine- 120 degrees
Square- 90 degrees
Sextile- 60 degrees
Semi-sextile- 30 degrees
In traditional Astrology, the opposition, square and trine aspects are said to be powerful and
other aspects are said to be less powerful.

As far as I can say Astrological predictions are tough to check whether they are accurate or not.
But Dr. Percy Seymour says that some of the Astrological predictions can be Scientifically tested and logically explained.
@@alanp227 My previous reply seems to be deleted.
Here is another reply:
According to the
mathematical theory of resonance, if a system has a natural fre-
quency equal to the frequency of an external force then the system
will have a large response to that force, but its response lo forces
vibrating at any other frequencies will be so minute it can be
ignored. This is the whole basis of radio and television systems. Thus, a receiver will respond to the radio waves from the station
to which it is tuned and ignore all others. This fact is utilized very
frequently by most practicing scientists and engineers. The fre-
quency of household equipment differs from that of the lunar daily
magnetic variation by a factor of 2 million. By the same line of
reasoning we do not have to switch off our radio sets every time
we use household equipment because they also differ by a large
factor.

Astrologers could rake in a hundreds of thousands or a million dollars by demonstrating in skeptics challenges that astrology works.
For example, if you attempted suicide long ago but now you're talking happily to an astrologer, he won't conclude that you attempted that suicide.

my familys astrologer has been telling us "this is just a bad period for you and will end in a few months" for about 12 years now and no one seems to get that he's just pulling everything out of his ass and keeps giving him money. he also predicted my aunt who only has 1 kid would have 2 and the first one would be a boy (she is a girl) and i would get married at 24 (i am 25 and unmarried). every "prediction" he's made that's actually happened is pretty much par for the course and was our plan to start with. when i was in school he "predicted" that i would go to the us or europe for college. i was an nri at the time as well and i'm from a middle class family where everyone cares a lot about education and everyone also really likes the us and europe and i was literally exclusively looking at universities to apply to that were in the us or europe AND this guy knew that. so that "prediction" could have been "you will be admitted into at least one of the colleges you apply to and then you will actually go there" which is kind of just what is expected from college applications
This guy is doing best thing on internet
well said
Lol i had one girl in my hostel who always asked me to read and explain her Libra horoscope tips, she said it was very accurate and helpful. After a few months she asked again and I started by pointing at the print for Libra, she said that was not her horoscope, she found out her zodiac was different.

Even astrologers say this. So, do not worry about your bad horoscope. Your life is in your hands. You get what you do 😀
Finally someone who is brave enough to call out this BS
I have met Jayant Narliker, he is a genius and these astrologers would never be able to face him
Good job mate! Hope logic prevails.
There is a guy called PVR Narsimha Rao (BTech from IIT Madras, master's from Rice University) who has a massive astrology UA-cam channel in which he has put up all sorts of 2024 election "predictions". I was sent a link to it by a family member. God, I despise people like him. They have credentials like this and spout this rubbish and it makes it harder to debunk them because people then tell you "even that scholar believes in astrology, who are you?"
Found your channel by chance. Someone recommended me Autobiography of Yogi,I started reading it and I was wondering how the hell people believe this shit. Then I started searching "paramhansa fraud" sadhuguru fraud and I came to your channel😜.
It looks my confirmation bias and Google's algorithm says Science is dope.

Hello Sir!! I really liked the video you have made..... The myths and superstitions regarding astrology and business goons in the name of astrology needs to be stopped.... But a big lot of Hindi speaking people may not understand it completely .So plz do present it's Hindi version.....

I appreciate ur efforts for debunking Indian psuedoscience practices, but I would like express my disagreement on indian astrology coming from Greece. The reason being some ancient scriptures like Ramayan and Mahabharat (just to name a few)gave the celestial positions for various events. It would be very nice of you to enlighten me on this.Nice and Informative video btw🤗🤗
The tenets of vedic astrology and rashis migrated to india from greece. But there has been a tradition of nakshatras which were mentioned in ramayana and mahabharata. I've added this as a clarification to my video description. Thank you :) subscribe and share if you find my content useful bro

Jyotish is the light of the Vedas. Jyotish is subjective. Jyotish deals with consciousness. It is not a material stuff. Every planet and Nakshatras affects human and all the life on earth every which way. Even stupids know moon affects water and human body is 70 % water. Jyotish do not come to everyone. Its blessing for those who saw the jyotish . Fake astrologers existed it doesn't mean that jyotish is untrue. Jyotish embedded in advanced quantum physics. Jyotish deals with karma and past life tendencies. Planets and Nakshatras are conscious. Everything in universe has its own state of consciousness. Jyotish is beyond the brain of ordinary. Never discuss a subject which you are not familiar with. Never defame jyotish when you don't know anything about it.

As far as astrologer I had met a good astrologer and his predicuisn were on point not only past but future lol and I have seen astrology work at other times too so I personally believe but chances are u will find a bad astrologer and would never believe in It which actually is fine it's totally ok it's life and u have your own experiences
I am 20yold btw 💀
bro just wanted to confirm how did u come to the conclusion that vedic astrology actually migrated from greece to india and not india to greece and how sure are u about the origin dates of indian astrology.
Because Vedas don't have astrology
@@shubhamayush7232 you sure about that?

He is saying there is no meaning to vedic. Veda means knowledge. Vidhya, Veda all are derived from the dathu word vidh.
Many Sanskrit names and english have common origin. They simply say they are from Latin. For example matha - mother, pithar - father, braatha - brother.

A bit of advice. Pls increase the video speed to atleast 1.25x cause it's really slow. I know I can do it as well but if I forward it to someone who doesn't really know how to do that, it doesn't really feel very impactful cuz it feels like you're talking a bit slow
How could Indian astrology could predict solar and lunar eclipse?
That's astronomy not astrology
About the precision of equinox, you should have done some BASIC homework, vedic astrology takes precision of equinox into account since thousands of years.
Western astrology doesn't do that since this system isn't based on constellations but seasonal wheel.
Also, about the predictions almost always being wrong, guess you have never watched Joni Patry who predicted coronavirus in September 2019, 3 months before it even started.
He credited Vedic astrology for that watch carefully
@@anujcool21 I saw that later, I was commenting as the video went. But my criticism still stands, this moron doesn't even knows what he's talking about. Whytf should western astrology take precession of equinox into account?
Bro just an health criticism can you increase your words per minute by 20% it feels so slow, also be more energetic, it feels like a monotone.
Thanks man :) I've gotten this feedback so many times now. As I said in a previous comment something doesn't feel right when I suddenly shift speeds. I'll gradually increase speed don't worry. Till then you have speedup options on youtube :P
But the commonality could also proves that it could have traveled from India to Greece, do we have any written proof to prove otherwise?
Wait i have a doubt here valmiki was before alexander and used astrology in ramayan. Can anyone pls clear this out. Am i missing something.
Valmiki is fictional character, even if existed then after 7th Ce
@@unknown_atheistno Valmiki is not fictional. He had written ramayan

Because till 7th Ce. their is no mention of neither Valmiki nor Valmiki Ramayana in History,
Not a single mention,
Then how did people after 7th Ce. Knew that?
Does that mean Valmiki Existed before 7th Ce. but still have no evidence even after 7th Ce.
@@unknown_atheistthere is Valmiki ashram in nepal where he had written ramayan

And alexander invaded the 3rd century Bc i don't know the exact year but i remember it was in the 3rd century.
So how ramayan had jyotish sashtra in 7th or 5th century bc, if Alexander brought it with him in the 3rd century BC
You are literally a life saver Pranav !! Thanks for these debunking stuff 🥳

Nicely researched video man. Btw, make that music as your permanent intro or outro. Boy that tune is catchy!😆😆
Haha true. Thanks man :)
Much awaited video.
