I have seen brand new cars coming off the truck from the factory with plastic still on them where you can see that the bumper color is off from the rest of the car. Don't tell me you have never noticed that.
Plastic has more static then metal so when sprayed the metallic in the paint tends to stand up on plastic showing a difference in reflection of light so it’s never perfect.. blend it and send it
This camera does not match pearls at all!! Sand down a part of the panel you want to match with 1000 grit then take picture for ground coat then enter VIN for the pearl.
I bought a used camera and measuring instrument from EBAY in the USA. Can I use it without registering as a member of Axalta or DuPont? Can it be used with US specifications in Japan?
No where close to a color match they just use this to sell to the boss’s that never even held a paint gun , color chips 99% are never accurate an the camera yeah been painting with “A” product for 18 years come show me that you never check your color somebody is lie n to you boss, get painters on here to tell the tell will be a whole different story
You CAN absolutely get an exact color match using that camera (Acquire Quantum EFX Spectrophometer M-6668)! It's better with solid colors than it is with a metallic, but some of that has to do with the fact that air pressure can change the color of a metallic. This video was a terrible example of a CromaxPro paint job.
1.8? but that's a primer gun... even most primer brands today recommend a 1.6 nozzle. and that bumper is far from perfect match... i apologize for the negative comment but as a sole AXALTA distributor in the country where i live i think i have to correct you before people start looking at our brands in a negative light .
Bumpers will never match so even u do spray out you can't match any color 100% in any color you can get it close to a match but will not be perfect match. Haa????
You are 100% right through that camera in the garbage never even close ,funny how the rep will never come to your shop an demonstrate it’s all bs to get big dogs to by in
bumper looked dark test panels are a must with any paint line

You don't use anti static wipes?
1.8 fluid nozzle? Axalta recomends a 1.2 for Cromax Pro

Puede ser, lo que yo hago es tomar una muestra convencional, el color mas parecido, luego dejo secar y alli aplico midcoat 2 o tres capas
