That hexagon thing on the top is where it clamped on to the cargo barge.
Beautiful ship! It was very impressive on the big screen and is great to see it up close in detail.
It has a few detail problems, missing detail between the two rear top engines , missing aerials underneath main body, shown on the box art but not in the model. Shame no landing gear, has to be displayed in flight. Plenty of references online to put it right.
Since they are doing other sci-fi properties I would like to see Eaglemoss make the Discovery from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
A strong point of the Nostromo in the original Alien movie was that you don't easily get a picture of the ship as a whole, mainly the impression that it is a massive, messy freighter. That added to the suspense in the movie. (Same with the alien itself, by the way.) The model makes the ship look smaller than I remember seeing Alien for the first time when the movie came out.
in the film its dragging an oil refinery, which I didn't realise until googling! if you google nostromo you see the refinery
alex cf Interesting! At the time I saw it as one giant ship. Googling it also shows a few impressive models of the tug+refinery combination. Thanks!
Captain how does it compare now to what you thought about the ship from the fleetyards video? You often say that once you get a hold of the model you can either gain more appreciation for it or you can maybe think worse of it. What do you think about it now that you've spent time with it?
Hi Guys,
I didn't see it in the review, but having the observation port on the side would be great to see.
Love your reviews, honest and raw 👌🏽
They should do the ship from Prometheus in the 'Alien' movie universe. Since they already have a Star Trek Universe: Prometheus.
Can we see one for the Sulaco and Gateway station as well? They are from the same universe in Aliens (phasers versus pulse rifles) I love em both for different reasons
FYI, the site says it's already out of stock, and promo codes do not apply to limited editions.
Simmons8519 Thanks. Sorry to hear that it’s outta stock though.
Nothing from avatar. I'm a subscriber to the starship collection and have purchased the Nostromo and the Solaco. Both are Great models for the modeler that doesn't.
It's as if the ship designers for STD did a hybrid of the Nostromo and the alien ship to come up with the Klingon ship of the dead.
Seemingly random question - is the Trekyards code world wide or US only?
United States Commercial Star Ship Nostromo 180924609... I think I’ve heard of it and I’m very very jealous!
Promo code does not work
A small correction on that box description, the alien didn't decimate Helen's crew.....it ate it! That aside, it's a nicely detailed version of the Nostromo. I like it.
You really need to get one of those battery operated rotating bases for displaying the Eaglemoss ships.
Jason Powlette Have one but it’s not strong enough some of the ships. Besides which EVERYONE does that with their Eaglemoss reviews. I didn’t want to be exactly like everyone else. So boring watching a rotating model!
Loving the Nostromo.
Very nice... have you guys ever seen size comparisons between fictional starships? Apparently the Nostromo and the original TOS Enterprise are pretty close in size. Starfleet tech is apparently very compact and they are very good at making the most out of space
Where is the escape shuttle?
SiXiam it's probably too small to appear in the model. Not sure of the scale of the model.
Early anniversary present, perhaps?
Nice ship. But you're not the big Alien fan in the family.
Once you get to the figures, might a certain Admiral do some guest reviews? I think that'd be cool.
lookas good to me see more may be but got post em so see em
Fleetyards suggestion : (Star Wars) R-41 Starchaser (from various Videogames)

Sorry, not worth $80US.
