Every once in a while I've seen it in the mirror that the chart uses. This is by far the most obvious but I don't particularly mind
In a way it makes sense. Put it on the forward cam and you will always know what is and isn't in view for all the vision tests. Yes, most digital cams have a screen. Not all of them turn tot he front and most is not all, don't have a screen as big as a more recent iPhone or Android. I hadn't considered any of this until I saw the reflection. PaulArtwork, when he did videos, at one point was using a laptop so he could watch himself.

I swear there are other ASMRist with HD cam and some expensive mics... But they can't match your quality that you make from just a phone 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
In my opinion is better with just a phone because it’s more natural
He has authentic equipment and knowledge, a wonderfully relaxing tone and accent to his voice, and seems natural. So many spend money on cameras and mics, and they do a decent job, but their role plays are not convincing because they use equipment they can buy at a pharmacy (stethoscopes, and otoscopes), and flashlights and they can’t speak authoritatively about the eyes. I love light..it’s one of my best triggers, but I’ve yet to see an ophthalmologist or optometrist who just points a flashlight at my eyes and makes me follow his or her finger and calls that an exam. I love this channel, and highly recommend him to those I know who enjoy ASMR.
@@MrBuddybones the light reaction and finger following test is more of a generic doctor test than an ophthalmologist: they are testing nerves to see if they are reacting properly
@@dakeyress yes, I know. But some of them label that as an eye exam or cranial nerve exam. I’ve been watching these for years, and (as I said) thought they were decent. But they pale in comparison to SRP. It was a complement meant for him. Thanks

Pls dont try to „improve“ your audio quality, like a lot of asmr channels do. It ruins the mood, makes it feel more like a studio production, rather than a authentic experience. Background/whitenoise, random sounds and „average“ microphones add to the athmosphere and make feel a lot more natural, at least in my opinion.
Totally agree, it doesn't sound perfect when you're actually at an opticians so when asmr artists go overboard with mic set ups it loses the best part of the asmr

I totally agree. Although his audio and video quality has vastly improved from when he first started, it’s at that perfect level of quality. The extremely high quality audio takes away a lot of the effect for me. Most of our experiences of ASMR are from childhood that is unintentional, e.g. being at the opticians or having your hair played with, and the movie-like quality really takes away from that.
I think SRP has struck gold with his content and it’s shown with how quickly he’s grown. He truly understands ASMR! ☺️

SRP is doing wonderfully regardless, but on this subject I personally would LOVE a stereo experience so I could be more fully immersed between what side he's on in relation to me. For his purposes, probably using two separate mics to this end would be easier to move around.
Of course it is not the place of a viewer (or an appreciative content creator in this case) to pressure another content creator to purchase anything beyond what is decent, and he is definitely recording and uploading beyond decent quality. These are simply my preferences, and I'm positive I'm not alone.
None of these opinions will stop me from thoroughly enjoying his already wonderful content! (note: I use good headphones and amp with noise canceling so my experience is capable of translating sound depth most listeners probably don't have, that's my preferred experience)

Another perfect video from Dr. SRP. The moment you turn the lights back on reminds me of the moment I realize my trance inducing eye exam is coming to an end, and I wish it would last longer. But I don’t have to go through that any more, because I can come home and watch one of his excellent ASMR videos. I think it's easier to fall asleep when I'm not trying to pay attention to words? But like I said I genuinely love all of your videos, theyve been a godsend during the pandemic and quarantine :)

Great tingle inducing sounds and closeup visuals. Was wondering if you had a Goldmann Tonemetry option... the little blue light that tests eye pressure for Glaucoma? That would be tingly, maybe demonstrating how it’s used and then using in a dark room? Just a thought. You know I’m a big fan of your channel. So nice to have someone using their real profession to produce ASMR. Much more tingly because you speak with an authority on the subject and don’t have to resort to silly role playing.

Hi Steven! i hope you would try to manually defocus the camera lens and do the asmr lens test! (yes it is possible to defocus in iphone by using a prescribed pair of glasses)
